Consumed with a need for revenge, Cole Jackson becomes blind to all he should hold dear. It’s not until vengeance has been carried out that he realizes what he’s almost lost.
After being brutally attacked, Leeza Snow, has kept her head up with her pride intact. What everyone doesn’t see is the shattered heart she conceals, not only from her pack but from the man she’s destined to be with.
While time can heal scars, it will take trust to offer a promise of a happy future.

I received a copy of this book for an honest review.
Refuge is the second book in the Stone's Wolf Sanctuary. This is Cole and Leeza's story.
Leeza is the sister of the former pack alpha. She is supportive of Eric taking over the pack as alpha after her brother dies. Leeza loves her pack and knows Erie's younger brother, Cole, is her mate but things change for her in the pack after her best friend is rapped and she tries to protect her. After this attack Leeza feels as if she is being shunned by the pack no one looked at her or talked to her heck even her best friend left her.
Cole is an alpha is all aspects he needs to protect what is his but when he cannot protect the one thing he knows is his starts an internal battle within himself. He tries to avoid Leeza give her space but what he doesn't realize is he is only causing her more pain.
Leeza is a strong woman who can be a spit fire when she needs to be. just ask Eric man she unleashes on him and the others. Let me tell you it takes a mighty strong woman to take on these alphas with those strong words. Leeza is not one to sit around and be taken care of she wanted to pull her own weight so she found a job that fit her well. Only one problem Cole was not happy with the job she picked but Leeza didn't seem to care if he liked it or not. She was done letting others tell her what she could and couldn't do. I admire her for standing her ground and doing what she wanted. I loved the way Leeza was able to bond with other animals especially Ari the wolf-dog.
This pack has been through so much losing an Alpha and getting acclimated to a new Alpha who moved the pack to be with his mate. Now it looks as if they will be dealing with some recoil from the whole Foster Manning issue. I am ready for more of this series and Kile is next. I cannot wait to see him fall and fall hard.
Cole and Leeza! Love these two! Both of these characters are incredibly strong people. Leeza helping the pack adjust to Eric, the new Alpha, after her brother dies is amazing and Cole, being Eric’s younger brother but with Alpha tendencies, is hot! After a terrible attack where one of the pack members is raped the pack has overwhelming feelings of more or less being worthless since they weren’t able to protect one of their own. As some misunderstandings are dealt with we get to see more into Leeza’s and Cole’s emotions for one another. Leeza is not looking for an alpha and Cole is totally alpha. Trying to adjust to these different emotions between the two is intense as they are both dealing with their own demons. Some tragedies come at a price but seeing how the pack comes together to protect their own is super inspiring. When push comes to shove we find out what everyone’s true colors are. The story will suck you in and keep ahold of you right to the very end. I am sooooo looking forward to the next!
Another amazeball brilliant reads by Teresa. From the first paragraph you are lost in the story. Her characters are so well-written and the storyline just flows from beginning to the end. Lots of hysterical antics and of course the tear jerking scenes makes this book a 5 tissue read. Can't wait for Kyle's book.
Cole book . This is the 2nd book and I would read the first book because this book takes off from there. Life at the sanctuary is shaping up but Cole is struggling with life and his mate who has been hurt. Enjoy this author's books and this is another great series.
I am never disappointed when I read a book by Teresa Gabelman. This story pulled me in. Leeza is a strong kick ass take no prisoners woman. Leeza and Cole have issues that need to be worked out. Leeza helps the pack to come to terms with issues. There is some suspenseful action. You really should read the 1st book, it has background that helps with this book. Can't wait for Kile's book. From a True Fan... Pam James.
I love this author!! I know it was a short story but I wish it was longer!!! More please!!! What about Kile?? Lance mating with a wolf or even Charlie??…..
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader’s Copy of this book This is book two of the Stone’s Wolf Sanctuary and it picks up directly where book one ended, however this book is all about Alpha Eric Jackson’s brother Cole. Leeza Snow is a wolf in Eric’s pack, one who no one has really talked to since another wolf was raped and she was hurt trying to protect her. She feels everyone has stopped talking to her because she failed to protect the younger girl, what she doesn’t realize is that the pack believes she was raped also. This pack while strong and killed the bad guy, has really done a disservice to Leeza and the young wolf who has left the pack by ignoring them. Cole is furious because he wasn’t the one to kill the man who hurt Leeza, who btw is his mate and neither have acted on it, and doesn’t really know how to talk to Leeza so he has been avoiding her along with the rest of the pack. Ok, first off Leeza is a strong woman. Her first thought when she saw what was happening to the younger woman wasn’t about herself but how to protect her, which got her hurt. She knew the other girl needed her afterward and with no regards for herself again stayed with the girl even though she needed to shift to heal herself. When she realizes what the others believe of her she goes off on the Alpha and the pack, one for not asking what really happened that night and two for the way that the pack treated to woman who had something horrific happen to them. I love when Cole realizes just how much he screwed up with Leeza. Men are such stupid creatures it makes me wonder why I love them sometimes, then I remember that they kill really big bugs for me sooooo....... Even after learning the truth and mating he still screws up with her by trying to tell her who she can work for, but she shuts that down quickly and he learns that Leeza is not a mate that will blindly do as she’s told and follow, she’s a mate that will stand beside her man and be a partner. Refuge show us that you don’t know what really happened with something unless you ask all parties involved, not every Alpha does everything right and can learn from others in his pack, and women are strong as heck and so don’t mess with us.
When I found out that Teresa was going to write a second installment for the Stone Wolf Sanctuary series I was ecstatic. Ever since she wrote the first one I have wanted another to go with it and for it to be made into a series and I got my wish. (There is such a thing as fairies)
I loved Leeza, how even though she's suffered and thought that others were turning against her because she failed in her mission to protect others, she pulled herself back and gave the Alpha and his brothers something to think about when they all assumed she was hurt but Foster Manning and not that she was ashamed of what happened. I liked how Cole decided to get off his furry wolf butt and go and fight for his Mate, as we all know in life you don't get anything for free you have to work at it and the same goes for their relationship. And together they forge ahead looking at how their lives will change in coming to the Wolf Sanctuary, that is until Foster's crazy sister turns up and goes shifter hunting for the person who killed her brother. (Talk about a crazy family)
Im hoping that Teresa will move on to Kile's book next as I think he needs a bit of loving in his life and I'm looking forward to more mentions of Gemma and Eric and Cole and Leeza and Alex and all the rest of the Pack. Can't wait
Timing is not a friend of Leeza Snow and Cole Jackson! Nothing seems to change the incalculable distance between them. First, Cole came with his brothers just as Leeza’s brother, the former pack Alpha, was dying. Second, former packmate Foster Manning violated young Sherri and scarred her. Third, the whole pack treats her like an outcast,
Cole knew Leeza was his mate the moment they met but he’s shocked when Leeza says her bloody wounds were from fighting Foster and her guilt over her inability to stop his attack on Sherri. Ashamed that he’s part of the problem, Cole vows to help Leeza realize they need to treat victims better.
Meanwhile, former sanctuary enemy Lance Cooper insists he wants to make amends for the way he’s acted and gives time, money and offers ranch jobs to make the sanctuary better and help the newly relocated shifters. Lance is also pushing his luck noticing just how appealing Leeza is as she puts Cole through his paces.
No, no, no! Just no. This reader couldn’t wrap her head around spilling all my secrets to the decades long enemy I wanted dead yesterday morning and saved yesterday afternoon. Though apologies were made. Sorry that ruined this read completely for my taste. Rating: 3stars
Leeza and Cole’s story was a great addition to the series, although Leeza is a really strong woman I did feel for her, she went through something very painful to her and felt all alone within the pack, if only she had spoken out earlier things may have been a little different.
Cole, Hot Fit Alpha, Sex on a stick HOT with a real sweet side to him, Leeza’s Mate! He’s not totally sure how to approach Leeza with what she been through but never the less wants her with a passion, and when they meet up at the lake ......... Holy Hell! Steamy or what!
Really great read, looking forward to the next book in this series.
Cole & Leeza both love each other but are afraid to say it. Cole is afraid it will scare her off & she doesn't want just a mate, she wants a partner. Work continues on Gemma's property, everyone is living in tents. Some shifters are getting jobs and saving for an apartment, others are getting mobile homes and moving them on the land. They fear repercussions from the death of the rapist, but their guard is down. I felt Refuge was well written. It picks up from where book 1 leaves off. Ms. Gableman is an outstanding author, I have read many of her books and can't wait until this series continues.
I devoured Refuge. Cole and Leeza are so easy to read. Teresa Gabelman has done it again. Best seller for sure. Leeza is still punishing herself for an attack she couldn’t stop. She struggles to get through each day avoiding as many of the pack as she can. Cole is still raging over the attack on Leeza. He knows she’s his mate but is treading carefully. Can they overcome the misunderstandings and set alight the fireworks they set off around each other? Packed full of everything needed for a Huge bestseller. Loved Refuge Can’t wait for more Stone Wolf
The first book I read from Teresa Gabelman was the first book in this series - Sanctuary. Since then I have read most of her books, but I am so glad that I finally got the second installment of the Stone's Wolf Sanctuary. It took me a minute to get back in the story (it's been a while since I read the last one). Great read! I really enjoyed it and it didn't take me a long time to read. I love these kind of stories that I can get lost in and it doesn't mean that I am MIA from my other responsibilities
With Teresa Gabelman’s Refuge, we have the second installment of Stone’s Wolf Sanctuary.
I thought the dynamics of Leeza and Cole’s relationship were quite intense. Leeza’s character strength grows after she realizes her pack misunderstood when she was attacked.
Instead of cowering, she holds them accountable for their behaviors, especially handsome Cole, her new Alpha’s brother, who she also thinks is her mate.
As the pack has to deal with their move to help grow the Stone Wolf Sanctuary, all of them are changing and learning about love and loyalty.
Leeza was never asked what really happened one fateful night. She was left alone, pitied, and dealing with issues. Her mate, Cole Jackson didn't speak to her or try to assist her. Then everyone winds up at Sanctuary. Gemma and Leeza learn some information. Cole has amends to make. They scuffle and finally after a near tragedy they get a happy ending. Lance needs a female wolf mate. A strong female mate!
Leeza is a wolf shifter and was attacked by another wolf. Cole is also a wolf shifter and knows Leeza is his mate. His brother took over Leeza’s pack after her brother died and they are still trying to figure out where to live, etc. When someone seems to be watching them, they become more vigilant. I love Mrs. Gablemen’s books but this one, didn’t do it for me. It seemed like toward the end everything was rushed. I thought I had missed something. Maybe it’s just me.
This book continues on from where book 1 left off. The pack have moved to the sanctuary, the rapist they were chasing is dead but now they have to deal with the aftermath.
Leeza is a great character, she's fiesty, sassy and yet still unsure of herself. Cole is a domineering alpha male who just wants to keep her safe. Together they make an entertaining story.
I have purchased every single book by this author, usually one clicking without even reading the blurb. They’re a guaranteed good read, and this one continued the streak. Cole and Leesa’s story was so emotionally moving, held such depth, that I couldn’t let it go. It’s been hours since I read it, but I still can’t get it outta my head. Such a fantastic book.
Both books read. Both books are great. The only reason book 2 got only 4 stars from me is that I found the end to be a bit abrupt! I wasn't expecting it to just end. And since I am reading on the Kindle I didn't realise it was heading towards the ending until the story just....stopped!!! Guess we are being set up for boom 3. Great series so far.
Refuge is a short paranormal romance by Teresa Gabelman. Cole and Leeza's story is fast paced and full of drama, sizzle and a bit of suspense. Refuge is book 2 of the Stone's Wolf Sanctuary Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliffhanger.
I read a print copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Just WOW!! Teresa Gabelman did it again...no surprise here! She captives you from the first sentence thru the last word in the book! She is such an amazing writer!! Looking forward to getting lost in her next book!! ❤️
book 2 in series.best if read in order to get the background story.I love Teresa's writing, always a one-click for me. This is a short story, well written, hot moments,a few turns and twist. Not as in-depth as her other series but still a good read. I look forward to next in series.
A short novella about nothing. There's no plot, and no romance either. But above all it's a terribly dry reading, and it highlights perfectly (for me) that elusive thing called talent. (Here clearly lacking).
It sounds and it is harsh, but unfortunately also true in my mind.
Another little cracker. Great characters, good storyline and a bit of comedy to lighten the mood of it. Teresa Gabelman has go I d a winning formula for her shifter bolks.
This a wonderful shifter romance with lots of drama, actions, and some passion. This is book two but it can be read as a stand alone but it would be more enjoyable if you read book one first.
Cole knew who his mate was, but was holding back his feelings. Many turns of events happened. Learning to trust and lean on someone was going to be hard for the both of them.
Refuge (Stones Wolf Sanctuary) Book 2 by Teresa Gabelman. Leeds Snow is Cold Jackson's mate. They hadn't to speaking about this when Leeza is attacked. Cold blames himself for not keeping her safe. Can the 2 get passed this.
This book is a great read and it touches on the problem with animal conservation and the subject of the aftermath of sexual assault. I definitely agree with their stance on it. If you need a quick read this series is one I would definitely recommend.
This book and the first one was boring. I've read Teresa Protector series twice then read this one right after. Comparing these two this book was boring no action no thought really behind writing these two. Would I recommend it? I don't know.
