Can they overcome this latest hurdle to finally find their happily ever after? Or are they doomed to always be apart?*** Saving Scout is book 5 in the Charon MC series, but can be read as a stand alone ***
As this book started I really didn't like Scout for what he's done to Marie for the last 25 years. He really can't be that stupid to know she's been pining for him or that the guys of the club have been scaring away men, all the while he screws anyone he wants. Sure I get for maybe the first couple of years he should have stayed away, the age difference then, let alone how dependent she was on him were a factor.
I did like how the guys, all the guys, were calling him out on his behavior, protecting Marie first.
I feel very sad about Sarah and what her life has been like.
This really got crazy at the end here. I can't believe all the stuff that happened, the one guy not letting things go, bombing Marie's house, Scout getting hurt, Sarah dying, but only after talking to Ariel, the buying of the new house on "the" street, becoming parents, Marie getting her cut and then letting Scout know she was pregnant. So much, but I still don't know that I could forgive Scout the way Marie did...25 years is a lot of time to be marginalized like she was and then to have it change over night.

I liked this one. There was only a few things that kept me from giving it 5 stars! The first thing is he kept he supposedly wanted her but didn’t do anything about for 25 YEARS!!!!! And she was in love with him for 25 YEARS!!! It wasn’t like she one of these books that they meet when they’re like 5 and she’s been in love with him that long. Nope, she was 18 when they meet and he was 27!!! The second thing that killed this for me and that she didn’t sleep with anyone for the entire 25 years until she gets with the H!!! He, on the other hand repeatedly sleeps with club ho’s and she knows this. The h had only had one previous lover when she was 17, before she met the H! He then asks her to employ one of his former lovers (who is with a club member now but that didn’t make a difference to me at all)! If it wasn’t for these things, this would’ve been a 5 Star read for me! I also wish the epilogue was longer but that didn’t lower my rating.

Phenomenal! Going into Saving Scout I had a feeling this story was going to be a great one but it surpassed my expectations! A definite 5* read you will not regret! Charon MC series is one of the best out there. Get it! You won't be disappointed.
Someone finally got their head out of their ass....it only took around 25 years. But is it too late?
Twenty five years ago Scout was asked by an old friend to keep an eye out on his two adopted girls because they got into something they shouldn't have. They were legal age so he did. One wanted away from bikers in general so she left and the other had a crush on him but he was too old for her so she got her own place and even started her own business.
Twenty five years later and Scout still keeps an eye out on Marie. One of the clubs favorite places to get coffee and food.
Sarah comes and finds Marie because Scout is in trouble but unknown to Sarah it's a set up. They do have Scout but now they have Marie too. Can they make it out alive?
It was so good to listen to yet another chapter of the Charon mc. I absolutely lovely. Chloe Wren and I am excited to see she has more in the works. Although it was only four hours long I still enjoyed the exciting plot line of scout and his dilemmas and the way marie stepped up to help him. There was some sad moments, happy moments and family loyalties. And it was great to hear of past characters that I have listened to in this series. The pace moved along nicely. It didn't stall anywhere. There was some steam and there were great friendships between the MC. Can't wait for the rest. As for the narrators, absolutely brilliant. I just love David and Tieran. The southern accent and the inflections were absolutely brilliant so enjoyed this whole story.
Didn’t like the 25 years of pining on Marie’s part. And the supposedly clueless H not realizing this, even though he claims to have loved her this whole time? H not feeling worthy of h and screwing whores for 25 years while h has been with no one...not cool. He finally pulls his head out of his ass and she’s like, well thank goodness! 🙄
*Also, in Mac’s book, when Zara first starts working at Marie’s diner, she refers to Marie as being old enough to be her mother. So, at the start of this book, I was picturing Marie as like mid-50s. But by my calculations, Zara was 32 at that time and Marie should have been in early 40s...
Scout ex marine who was in a MC had him making promises that had kept him from what he really wanted.....her Marie young and scared saved by a man who made her world but yet time and time pushed at arms length. She needed to move on but could she give him up. This story was well written giving you real issues that some need to overcome. Dealing with emotions, tears, hatred, hurt, caring hap pk ines and love is written into each page as the story unfolds. Enjoy the read
Another fantastic read by the author. This book is action packed, filled with everything you could want, plenty of twists and turns, intrigue and romance. A second chance at love for a hardened alpha biker and the women who has loved him for twenty years. This book has a great backstory that takes you on a wild roller coaster ride of emotions, in the end you get an HEA but not before it gives you a few tears, well worth your time to read. I look forward to reading the next installment of this series.
FINALLY the dumb headed male listened and got his women and marie got her happily ever after. Altho the plot with snatching scout and her foster sister all and using the bunker as a ploy seemed a little on the desperate side and didnt all add up? I mean why did the no about the bunker? How did he no marie and her foster sister was there all those years ago and to go after them and that the women were connected to scout and the charon MC. Other than the confusion on that part. It was a very very happily ever after for the prez and the queen of the club and the mother of all the old ladys!
I swear each book in this series becomes more and more emotional! Although easily read by itself, Saving Scout is even better with prior knowledge of some of the secondary characters. Scout is the epitome of a stubborn Alpha, so stuck on his own beliefs that he almost misses out on what matters most for him. His ties to Marie are more than he wants to admit and when he finally does it is explosive in more ways than one. A fast paced romance with an amazing story.
I read this book in one sitting. I totally love it. I like that Marie was just as strong as Scott and we got the back story of how they met and why. She made me cry and laugh and then cry so more before we got the happy ever after. I hope she continues writing this series if not I will continue to read her other ones. She has officially move up to my Must read authors.
If you haven't started this series - do not hesitate any longer. Believe me, the Charon MC Series is worth every cent! Khloe Wren has delivered another action packed thriller with Saving Scout. Like with Chasing Taz, Saving Scout will have you in tears. But I'm glad we finally got to hear Scout and Marie's story. I'm eager to read the next book!
Yay!!! I just knew that Scout and Marie’s story would be amazing, and how amazing it is!! Twenty five years is a long time to wait for your true love to wake up and smell the roses, but somehow Marie managed to do it without murdering Scout. Thankfully he finally opened his eyes!!
This book gutted me and my heart break, but then all of the pieces were put back together to only shatter again. Have tissue handy, you’re going to need them. What a fantastic read!! I love this series and each book gets better. Five stars are not enough.
Waited five books for Scout and Marie. Well worth the wait. Best happily ever after. Tear and pain. Happiness and sorrow being together decades of long awaited passion and love. HOT describes Scout and Marie.
We knew there was history between Marie and Scout. This is their book of how they met and the obstacles in their way of finding happiness. As usual there is ups and downs with twists and turns. Also the usual bad guy thrown into the mix. Brilliant reading.
Great book but oh my god! Who waits 25 years! Turned out great though. Would love a story on them again after the baby & how scout is handling it all. Need more on Ariel & how she’s adjusting. Loved it!

Khloe Wren has written an adult series centered around the men that make up the Charon MC. This book is taking a second look at Scout father into his Presidency at the MC.
Scout finally pulls his head out of his butte ( yes, I know I didn't use butt ) and him and Marie finally get together . of course A lot happens as it usually does when a Custom finds his forever gal.
I could not wait to read this book ad I've wanted to know all about scout story and knew it involved Sweet Marie from the cafe. I Floved this book and it is my favourite book in the series so far! Can not wait to read more of this series as always... This book and series is a Must Read!!
Fuck, she'd been the moon and stars in my world for over twenty fucking years. No one I'd fucked since meeting her had meant a damn thing because she'd had my heart.
I would have rated a star higher but 25 years is just too long to pins after a man that doesn’t SEE you and then to jump into his arms? Strangely enough the manwhore had no whore drama which I found odd
There's a few things confusing 2 me in here. It don't make sense cause Scout is being blamed 4 sumthing that's not his fault. It's really confusing about what happened 2 Sarah, but also sad. When people don't think about what they do they r cowards that likes 2 blame others 4 it.
Khloe Wren has a new fan l love this series all the Brothers and their Old Ladies. Their stories were amazing I'm looking forward read more of her books.
