NEW FAVORITE COUPLE ALERT!!
Ragee & Wynter’s love story is everything. Not perfect in a “fairytale everything goes as planned” kind of way—but in the raw, emotional, messy, healing way. Two broken souls who found peace, purpose, and power in each other. I fell in love right alongside them. Every emotion hit. My heart broke when theirs did. I craved the acceptance they were both seeking.
Ragee needed a soft place to land—someone he could finally let his guard down with. Wynter needed someone to choose her and love her out loud. And baby, that’s exactly what happened. I don’t think I’ve ever rooted for a couple harder than I rooted for these two.
The Setup:
Book 2 opens with Wynter at the Lit Music Boot Camp in Cali, doing her best to chase her dream and soak up the moment—while nursing a broken heart. And while she’s there minding her business and growing her pen game, here comes messy-ass Teke, letting old beefs ruin his whole trajectory. Teke thought he could play chess with Ragee through Wynter… but now he’s probably bagging groceries somewhere, wishing he stayed in the booth and outta grown folks’ business.
Ragee and Wynter, meanwhile? They were doing the work. They looked their trauma in the face and started healing. THAT is the difference. That’s why they win.
And let me get some things off my chest:
• Myisha got what she deserved. Her backstory gave me pause and helped me understand her—but not excuse her. You let fear and insecurity turn you into a villain, girl. That’s on you.
• Heather, I still don’t know why you were even in this book. Your purpose remains unclear. You needed to kick rocks, regroup, and maybe get popped upside the head for good measure. You were outta line!
• Mike? Pack him up. His family too.
• Grandma McKinnon? I been side-eyeing her since book 1. How is God showing you everything under the sun EXCEPT what’s happening in your own damn house? All those kids under your roof and you didn’t know a damn thing? Nah. Very much neglectful vibes.
That MaMa’s house scene though?!
Whew. I was on the EDGE of my seat. I wanted Ragee to square up so bad. (Sheldon needed as ass whooping, off GP, with his nasty ass) Somebody needed to be laid out. Everyone was wrong who was keeping up the lies. And Van having Wynter keep doing stuff for MaMa was wrong knowing how that lady felt about her. Why put her in that position? I never understood people like MaMa, you don’t punish kids for their parents’ mistakes! Ever!

Favorite Moments I Can’t Shut Up About:
1. Artie. He was so sweet. We needed more of him.
2. Elle & Jackson’s wedding – A Song For You?! IYKYK 😭 I was in tears. Thought we were gonna get a “Bella Noche’s” moment for real! Because “If you was beefing at that wedding, you should’ve been beefing at that wedding.” 🤭 had too.
3. The spice??? 🔥 Wynter was blowing Ragee’s MIND. I love a sexually liberated, FMC who’s not afraid to take the lead. Their intimacy was grown, spiritual, healing, and intentional—LOVE writes spice like no one else.
4. Their vulnerability. Watching those emotional walls come down brick by brick? Chef’s kiss. That’s love.

Final Thoughts:
I could go on and on (because yes, I have that much love for this series), but I’ll just say this: READ IT. Wynter and Ragee’s story is unforgettable. It’s about healing, growth, second chances, and real love—and I’m still not over it.
