L. Chapman was born in and continues to live in North Yorkshire, United Kingdom. She has spent most of her life helping others as a health care assistant, and was, at one time, a DJ for a special needs club. Blending her love of helping others and her love of children, L dreams to one day own and operate a childcare nursery that will help mainstream special needs children with others. In the rare times that L. is not working to help others or maniacally writing, she enjoys making a mess of things while creating beautifully detailed greeting cards. She spends time relaxing with family, friends, and good books. L. loves to travel and has been to many places in the United Kingdom; her favorite places all involve the ocean. She hopes to one day share a kiss with her happily-ever-after in the romantic shadow of the Eiffel Tower. Should she ever get over her fear of flying, those kisses may be shared in the shadows of the Egyptian Pyramids. Ever the fussy eater, L. has never once tasted peanut butter, and she despises coffee. If you should feel the need to bribe her, it is suggested that you bring chocolate, as that is one of her know weaknesses.
Reviewed for Hooked On Books and CherryOBlossoms Promotions Believe box series Book 1 – Trust. 4 stars The characters in “Trust” are loveable, and work well together. The friendship between Megan and her best friend Jenny is very realistic and sweet. The characters care for each other, and want what’s best for each other. They help each other, and Jenny pushes Megan to take a chance with Mark. I found myself rooting for Megan, and hoping her relationship with Mark would go well. Mark is a sweet character, who wants only the best for Megan. I was suspicious of him at first, as he decided to take her to meet his grandmother so soon after meeting her, but I soon grew to love him as a character. After a fight with Mark, Megan goes into labour. I was worried for her and the baby, but excited to find out what she would name the baby. I was relieved when Megan, Mark, and Lucy, all got a happily ever after. The book was sweet, but at times it seemed the relationship with Megan and Mark was moving very quickly.
Book 2 – Veiled. 5 stars This book is told from the point of view of Jenny, Megan’s best friend. I was interested in her and her fiancé when reading the first book, and was delighted to see the second book focused on them. Jenny and Rich are planning their wedding. It is the fairytale Jenny has always wanted, but Rich is growing distant as the big day approaches. He is not excited about the wedding, and their sex life is not as good as it had been. Rich is keeping a secret from Jenny that I did not see coming, as was Jenny’s one night stand. The twist is unexpected and shocking. The book had me on the edge of my seat, and I could not put it down. I was excited to find out Rich’s secret, and what would happen next as I read it.
Book 2.5 - Do You Believe. 4 stars “Do You Believe” is a short, sweet, Christmas story, focusing on Megan, Mark, and friends. Megan hosts Christmas at her house, for Mark, Jenny, Warren, and Connor – Mark’s employee. Connor’s daughter also joins them, which adds to the magic of Christmas in the story. However, all is not well, as Megan’s worries about Lucy’s biological father, and Connor’s worries about his daughter, and Jenny’s worries about her own parents, threaten to ruin the day. The book was interesting from the start, and captured the magical feeling of Christmas with family and friends very well. Book 3. – 5 stars. “Redeemed” was a fast-paced story with plenty of twists. I was on hooked from the start, trying to work out who would attack Mark, and then who had taken Lucy. The story is shocking and fast-paced. The story shows Megan and Mark’s relationship being tested by their past. Both they, and Megan’s daughter, are targeted and put in danger. Throughout the story I was genuinely worried about the characters and their relationships. Thankfully, friends and family helped them through such a tough ordeal. The story was filled with mystery, and sharp twists that left me in shock. This was my favourite book in the series, and I was relieved when Megan, Mark, and Lucy, finally got their happily ever after, without having to worry about their ex-s anymore.

I have to say that this is my first series by Ms. Chapman and I love it. She has kept each story moving at a fast pace, which is great, and I would love to see that hopefully in the future she will come back to these characters, because I can honestly say that I want more. I want to see how their lives turn out.
Trust (Believe #1) 3.5 Stars
In Trust we find ourselves meeting Megan, and she happens to be with her best friend Jenny, who is picking things out for her wedding. Now as we find out Megan has been hurt in the past, when she thought she had a good thing with a man it turned out the relationship was based on nothing but lies on his part. Now Megan is holding her heart very close to her as well as her trust to a man. But when she meets Mark, Megan must stop and rethink about guarding her heart so close. But with Mark living so far away from her she wonders how anything could ever happen between them and if she can trust him not to hurt her and her heart.
Veiled (Believe #2) 4 Stars
In Veiled we get Jenny’s story and I think in all honest this is the story that I wanted to read the most. I think Jenny is just a spitfire with a big heart and I wanted to know so much more about her. We know from Trust (book 1) that Jenny was getting ready to get married, but in Veiled we see everything about her relationship to Rich her fiancée, and let me just say that there were times I could not believe this man. If I could strangle him, I would. Jenny is blindsided by some big truths and she comes to some big realizations of her own, but when a mysterious man by the name of Warren, walks into her life, will Jenny leave everything she has known and planned for or will she stay through hurt and pain?
Do You Believe (Believe #2.5) 4 Stars
In Do You Believe you get such a wonderful short story of all the friends coming together, We get a further look in Mark’s employee Connor’s life, which could be a great story on its own. I am really wanting to know much more about him and his daughter. In this short novella you see everyone just having a wonderful Christmas holiday and you see how much love there is between everyone. It gives you that setting for the third book when there is an unknown present that was given to baby Lucy to open and it ended up being from Megan’s ex saying that he is going to take Lucy, so they can be a family. But the one thing Megan has is Mark and Mark is that Alpha male and he will do anything to protect those he loves.
Redeemed (Believe #3) 4 Stars
I have to say that by far this is my favorite book out of the series. Ms. Chapman gave us suspense and still brought us romance. It is amazing how she brought both Mark and Megan’s past colliding in this story, and for Megan to have to make the decisions that she was faced with, showed how strong and brave a woman she was, even though her choices tore her up inside. I just hope she gives us one more story on all of these characters, because she has me hooked.
Book1 in the believe series. It is a heartwarming easy read about a girl who wants her happy ever after but there's just one problem she has been hurt in the past and the trust has gone. Will she be able to put her past behind her and move on ?
The characters were easy to like, the story itself moved along at quite a fast pace with possible ideas of the future storyline in the next book so gets you engaged and looking forward to read more.
I enjoyed this book as i said it is an easy book to read. I did worry how mark was being perceived as he does come across quite clingy from the very start of the relationship however I think it was him just being so overwhelmed by his feelings it was his only to deal with them. I'm interested in seeing how L Chapman develops the characters and the storyline next and see overall how the series progresses.
Book 2 of the believe series continues the story with following jenny and her fiance . Again it is another easy read with a good paced story and characters that are adorable.
We have seen that their past may not be as happy as made out and as we read on we get to find out about what they are hiding. We continue to read how strong a bond she has with her bestie and how they both help each other out when needed but a new character in the name of Warren also appears to bring some hot and sexy scenes . It also shows signs of some potential storyline for the next book in the series.
Will there be a wedding or will the secrets be too much? What will the future be like for the couples, are they strong enough to withstand what is in front of them ?
I'm looking forward to reading on !
Do you believe is a lovely little Christmas novella that continues the story of megan jenny and all the guys. Where we get to be apart if their special day made up of precious moments they will look back and smile at.
Redeemed is the final book in the believe series and it is definitely the best. the story is quick action packed and keeps you on your toes.
The past has come back to haunt megan and mark but will their love be strong enough to hold on and survive what's to come??
True friendships have been made throughout this series and it was lovely to see their bonds grow stronger and love flourish. Let's hope everyone can get their happy ever after.
Stunning covers that have been unloved and unread on my kindle for far too long! I had high expectations from this series and sadly they didn’t quite live up to what I had hoped, however, I adored reading the entire series in one weekend. Short but sweet stories that you can relax and immerse in, but did find a little predictable at times.
Trust Chapman gave me a different way to look at romance. I like how that there was no Insta-love. Okay Granted Mark was insta-feeling something Major for Megan. Which was very loud and clear with his actions. I love how Megan stood by her choices, on how things would need to work. I am very pleased by “Trust” it was true to real life, as per how I feel romance should be.
In my own personal opinion (We all know those don’t smell like roses) I did feel at time the story had details where details were really not needed. I might growled about Mark and Megan always saying each others name. It was a bit like Really? Are you afraid Mark or Megan you might forget the others name.
Veiled I am very happy to state, that L Chapman surprised me with “Veiled”. She really dives deep in with her characters. Whatever you think of after reading “Trust”. You’re in for a big surprise with “Veiled”. Veiled takes up months after the Birth Of Lucy. Now we’re with Jen as the main character. Her counting down the day to her big day with Rich the love of her life. Have they really moved on with what happened at Megan’s house? I really want to say so much more, but sadly I can’t, cause I would be spoiling the heck out of the story. I can’t be a spoiler. I will leave you with this, where Megan was a bit guarded and Dry with herself. Jen is anything but. Her story is a whole loads naughtier. Even where I stated DAMN!
Redeemed Can Megan catch a break at all? John now knows about Lucy. Mark is trying to help in any way he can.
Then all of the sudden lady luck takes a freaking vacation! All kinds of stuff hits the fan. Megan lives through a nightmare of all nightmares. Will things get righted, will people be safe. Can Megan and Mark’s Love survive?
I Want to tell you the answers to all these questions, alas spoilers!
I will let you know, that this book struck me hard. I had to put it down a couple times. Things that are going on with Megan, Lucy, and Mark just hit me in such a way I was terrified of how things would turn out.
With that being said, if you have read “Trust” and “Veiled” already. Jump on in and let L. Chapman take your heart on one hell of a roller coaster.
Do You Believe Christmas time is upon us, in the believe world. Which was a bit cute. As I was once a first time mother, and understood the need for baby’s first Christmas to be perfect and special.
We learn more about Connor, and get to meet his wonderful Daughter.
Jenny & Warren are even here to spend the holidays with us.
Though what would the holidays be without a bit of drama for both Jenny and Megan.
There was a couple things that made me scratch my head in this one. There was a repeat of a scene from “Redeemed” which really wasn’t needed, but Megan is a complex lady.
With all that it was a good read, which almost made me wish it was Christmas in May.
I have to say that this is my first series by Ms. Chapman and I love it. She has kept each story moving at a fast pace, which is great, and I would love to see that hopefully in the future she will come back to these characters, because I can honestly say that I want more. Trust … Book #1 I really enjoyed the start to this series. When the book starts Megan is preparing to help her girlfriend Jenny prepare for her wedding. While Megan and Jenny are out she meets Mark. Of course Megan has been done wrong by a guy she gave her whole heart too so she isn’t too fond of the idea of Mark. Megan thinks it’s just going to be a little weekend fun to keep her mind distracted but she gets so much more than she ever knew. Megan is not only guarding her heart she is also guarding her unborn daughter. But Mark is not one to give up so easily and he truly has feelings for Megan and the baby. When the book ends Megan is still fighting her feelings for Mark but also trying to make the best of the situation. Can’t wait to see where the next book goes.
Veiled … Book #2 After finishing book 1 I was really looking forward to Jenny’s book. I knew right away that things were not right with her and Rich. I literally wanted to jump through the book and punch Rich in the face multiple times. I knew he was hiding something but never did I image what it was. Even after all the lies and secrets came out he still wanted to be with Jenny. Of course Jenny wasn’t having it and I could not blame her at all. The way Rich done her was crazy. Then enters Warren. I knew he was a sweetheart right from the beginning. Jenny needed something good in her life and it was Warren. Of course my mouth was hanging open at the end and I can only cross my fingers for more of Jenny and Warren.
Do you believe … Book # 2.5 This was such a cute follow up novella. There actually wasn’t too much drama in there just sweet loving families. I loved seeing Megan and Mark with baby Lucy. I know Lucy is going to be so loved. I am crossing my fingers for her and Mark in the next book. I also loved seeing Jenny happy with Warren. Even though I still have a few questions, this is a cute little holiday book something the bond of friends and family.
Redeemed … Book #3 Out of all the books this one kept me on the edge of my seat more than once. There were times I wanted to scream because of what was happening. There were also a few times I had to hold my breath just to keep from screaming even more. Megan and Mark have been through so much together but things change when Mark’s past and Megan’s past collide in this book. Let’s just say I am so happy!!! I don’t do spoilers so make sure you read this box set. The books are quick and easy to follow. I am also hoping we might see another book coming soon.
This is the first part of the Believe Series, Megan has lost her faith in men. Alone and pregnant, she still sees the good in life. On a trip to London with her best friend, she comes across a lovely young man, who takes a major shine to her, even if she is pregnant with another man’s child. He wants to get to know her better, and spends as much time as he can with her before she has to return home. Megan wants to believe that all is as it seems, but after being burned by her ex, she doesn’t know if she can trust this new man in her life enough. Definitely need to read the rest of the series. Really enjoyed it
The second in the Believe series, Megan’s best friend’s wedding is fast approaching. Secrets start to come to light the closer the date gets. Jenny learns a lot about her fiancé Rich, which she wishes she hadn’t. Megan helps Jenny pick herself up as she tries to come to terms with the changes facing her. Another good read from L Chapman. A really sweet read, showing friendships and relationships put to the test.
This novella see Megan, Mark and Lucy enjoy their first Christmas together. This quick yet fun read lets you get to know more about the characters you have come to love along the way.
The final instalment in this series. Can Megan and Mark get their happy ever after? Mark wants nothing more than to give Megan everything. Her past has other plans. Can they overcome everything thrown at them and come out the other side? Another sweet read, the love of this couple can be felt through the pages.
If you enjoy a heart warming romance then this is for you :)
The believe boxset sees a chance meeting blossom into a warming romance, a tale of friendship & a little suspense & heart ache.
I'm very open with my reading but have recently read a fair share of darker books so it's been quite nice to sit down with this boxset & enjoy a lighter read, with some really nice characters & moments that you can relate to.
Really looking forward to seeing what L Chapman has in store for us next :)
We follow the story of Megan who is alone and pregnant. She meets Mark on a trip to London with her best friend Jenny. Mark is instantly attracted to her. Throughout the series we get to see their relationship developer. We also have Jenny's wedding and a few surprises are in store for all concerned. What happens when Megan's ex comes on the scene? Will see get her happy ever after? Great enjoyable light read
I have received an ARC copy of all book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
This series were my first books by Ms Chapman and although I did enjoyed the concept of the books, the style of writing was not really appealing for me.
Trust - Believe #1 - 3,5 stars
In here we meet Megan. Young woman who was hurt by her ex-boyfriend, who left her after she discovered he is married and has kids. The only thing that was left after him, and will change Megan's whole life, is the small person that will be soon born. One night she meets Mark. Handsome and never-giving up man. Straight away she feels the pull towards him. They start off as friends and quickly feelings are developed. Although, I liked Megan, I found her a bit too naive. And Mark? In this book he was a bit way too creepy for me. The way he was scared of loosing Megan after few days of meeting her made my cringe and have shivers. Bad ones.
The book has a lot of potential and if the story was placed within months not days of developing serious feelings it would be perfect.
Veiled - Believe #2 - 4 stars
This story is about Megan's best friend: Jenny. She is 31 days before her wedding with her fiance, Rich. Everything is supposed to be perfect, but Rich is different. He has changed. He doesn't want cuddles, all their routines are different and also their intimate life from being spontaneous changed to quickies. Jenny is depressed because of that. And one night, when Rich is off to Vegas to "think" she meets Warren. Handsome, stubborn. A one night stand changes everything for both of them.
Again this story had so much potential, but again way TOO many things happened way too quickly. I liked Megan's and Jenny's Friendship. You can see that they are really close.
Do you believe - Believe #2.5 - 4 stars
This story was sweet. It's again from POV of Megan. They are all preparing to have Christmas together at Megan's house. Everything would be perfect, but Megan's ex-boyfriend starts to send letters and messages to Lucy, Megan's daughter, saying that he will take full custody of her and they will be together. Again creepy, but this time I like this creepy as something was happening.
Enjoyable short story, full of love, magic and Christmas spirit.
Redeemed - Believe #3 - 4,5 stars
This book was awesome and to be honest it saved the whole series! Here we have suspense, danger and tough choices that Megan has. She is not sure what is best for her and Mark. She is put in the situation where she has to chose between him and her daughter. And despite how much she loves him, Lucy is her world. But of course there is the happy ending, but the road to it is sad and heartbreaking.
I was not sure if I would be able to finish all the books because of the style of the writing. Sometimes I found the sentences not finished or thoughts that were not really well developed. Also First 2 books were written almost like a shopping list. Pointing what has happened. But I have to admit that the writing has improved and I hope Ms Chapman will continue writing because the ideas of the books are good.
The hole series in my opinion deserve 4 stars.
