Food is all around us, if you learn where to look, and how to prepare it. This is a book about how to use wild plants in the kitchen. Think of it as inspiration and techniques you can use for culinary experimentation. Seattle foraging teacher Jeremy Puma delves into the world of wild plants and edible weeds, going beyond the basics of salads and stews. Packed with useful theories and delicious recipes, "The Creative Forager" will be a welcome addition to the kitchen bookshelf of anyone interested in eating wild.
Jeremy Puma is a Gnostic philosopher who practices a crazy, mixed-up spirituality based on the writings found in the Nag Hammadi Library and Zen Buddhism. He writes nonfiction for people interested in a mature approach to gnosis that doesn't rely on unprovable claims of apostolic succession or New Age neo-Templar silliness, but instead acknowledges the limitations of the material.
He prefers a simple, direct style as opposed to the hoity-toity "thee and thou" filled silliness of more popular neognostic organizations, and doesn't think you need fancy hats or magic wands to be a Gnostic. For this reason, he will always be broke and marginal, at best, but that's okay.
Jeremy currently resides in Seattle, Washington. He has a beautiful wife, whom he adores, a giggly little son, and two insane dogs. He is available for speaking engagements, complimentary meals, and children's parties.
