Mango Bob #7

Mango Digger: A Mango Bob Adventure

Rate this book
Mango Digger is the seventh adventure in the highly entertaining Mango Bob and Walker Series. Living in his motorhome, Walker is tasked with finding the daughter of the Mafia boss he befriended in Key West. She went missing while digging crystals in the mountains of Arkansas and to aid in his search, Walker reluctantly agrees to take along a mystery woman who supposedly has a psychic gift. She's smart, sexy, and single and the question is, does she have more on her quirky mind than finding the bosses daughter? Ride along as Walker, the mystery woman, and Mango Bob the cat travel cross country in Walker's motorhome, trying to avoid the trouble that seems to show up around every curve in the twisty mountain roads. A fun read!

As I was reflecting on this book, I realized that one of the reasons I really enjoy the Mango Bob books is because of how "gentle" they are.

Walker has this RV which he travels around in with his cat, Mango Bob. They meet various people and have different experiences. Yes, there is always some puzzle (I hesitate to call it a mystery) to be solved. There is always a woman who may or may not be a romantic interest. There may be a fist fight or two. but nothing gruesome. In all the books, I can't remember a murder. Walker has an incredibly patient demeanor.

There are times when I wonder about all the directions being given. Bill Myers tells which road he takes, where he stops, sometimes the food he ate at a place. Sometimes when I am reading for a second it seems a bit tedious. Then I get the idea that perhaps it would be fun to take a Mango Bob road trip and follow the directions and stop at the same places.

The bottom line is this: Mango Bob are some of the best stories out there and I dread the day when they stop coming.

Another fun adventure with Walker and Mango Bob

I was absolutely thrilled to find Bill Myers penned Mango Digger. Another adventure, long overdue in my opinion, since this has become one of my favorite series. This time Walker is tasked to find Kat, the girl you don't get mad from Mango Blues, by her Mafia boss's dad whom you don't say no. With help from an enigmatic, sexy, psychic, Abby, they head for the crystal mines of Arkansas. Like all the Mango Bob adventures, they meet several colorful characters along the way. Interesting to learn about the famous crystal mines. And like the other books the story has as many twists and turns as the Arkansas roads. What happened to Kat? Do they find her. Follow the sign posts, ride along, enjoy he trip and find out for yourself. Me, I'm ready for the next in the series.

Best in the series so far. Kat has taken her new motor home to Arkansas to go crystal hunting, and her father, Boris, wants Walker to go find her. Boris doesn't ask, he tells. We finally have verification that is is Russian Mafia. Since Walker can't seem to go anywhere without a female traveling companion, meet Abby. She has a "gift", possibly psychic. She also works for Boris and is Kat's cousin. Along the way they have some interesting adventures, including helping catch a cop killer.

Mango Digger

Even though I fell in love with this series because I had always wanted to live in an RV in Florida I quite enjoyed going to Arkansas with Bob, Walker and Abby. I get a kick out of learning of the places they go and the things they do. The story line in this one actually felt s little more intense and I really loved Abby's ability to foresee certain things. I look forward to going on another adventure with this trio!

Wishful thinking!!

A wonderful get-away, a chance to live a life that is like a fantasy come true. This series has been a life-saber for me. I just wish I could have gotten ALL of the series combined into one book. Might be a good project for some day. Clean up a few proofing errors also. Loved all of them;!

Another great mango bob adventure

Thank you Bill for another great book I have now read every book in the series and look forward to the next. Like Walker I am an RVer and travel with two cats Frank and Thelma. I would recommend this book and all books in the series to anyone who travels with pets.

Easy read, entertaining.

I've read 7, and there is one more. The great thing about these books, they are no brainers.
Easy to read, very entertaining, almost like watching a movie. I have to admit, my wife and I are fulltime RVers,
and I could totally relate to the love of this lifestyle.

Irresistible Adventure

Ok I read the series backwards. I started with Mango Crush and then read the series in order. Couldn't put it down. Having grown up in Florida and having traveled to and around most of the areas he describes U can say Myers has nailed it. The characters are gripping and wacky but believable! It is Florida at its truest! A must read series.

Kat's not answering her phone and her father's worried. He gets Devin to take Abby to Walker and sends them looking. Abby has somewhat of a sixth sense, and they trace Kat's route up to the crystal mines just past Hot Springs, Arkansas. Of course there are "hiccups" along the way!

A long trip with lots of details that makes the reader wish they were there. Entertaining fun read!

Very enjoyable!

I think it adds more to a novel when actual places are used. I quite enjoyed looking for the different places on Google maps. All 7 novels were very well written with just enough suspense and humor throughout.

Best series ever!

Such a pleasure reading. I usually only read action stories. But a friend and fellow camper suggested the Mango Bob series. I read one book after another. To the author please let there be more to come.

Good read

All the Mango Bob books are good, fun reads. It's easy to get caught up in the adventure and you don't want to put it down. Best if you read the books in order but not necessary. Give them a try.

Mango Digger

Another good book by Bill H Meyers in his 11 book series. He introduced some new, interesting characters in this book and, just like in the previous 5 books, held the readers' attention from beginning to end. Moving on to book seven.

Book 7 in the series

Bob and Walker travel to Arkansas because Kat has gone out of contact and her father is concerned. There is a last minute change in plans and a strange woman goes with them. A fun read.

The Walker and Mango Bob series is about as simple and deliberate as anything I have read as an adult. Nonetheless, the books move fast and the main character is likeable. This is a low 3 star mystery adventure that somehow works enough to keep me reading the next one.

The entire Mango Bob series is just a fun ride. Nothing deep, too serious or earth shattering. But...I am absolutely enjoying every adventure. Just pick up the first book, then the second and you'll want to join Mango Bob and Wagner on the road for the rest of the way

Enjoyed the storyline and the "new scenery". Always enjoy visiting places I haven't been to (which is MOST of them). Always up for a quirky adventure and there are plenty of those! So, on to the next adventure!
