This was by far the most helpful football book I've read so far. The R4 system is simple yet complex, and Dub Maddox explains the philosophy clearly in a systematic manner. I learned a lot both about how to run a more efficient offense and how offenses work in general. I definitely want to dive into some other books I have, learn more about specific schemes, and then dive back into this book to streamline them. I also plan on using this book as a sort of route-guide and an early template for when I get around to drawing up my first playbook.
