About the author

Kitty Berry grew up an only child who never wished for a sibling in a small town in Connecticut. After graduating with a degree in Early Childhood Special Education, she began teaching in the field and started to raise a family. Her literary influences happened later in life when she stumbled upon The Pilot’s Wife by Anita Shreve after seeing it featured on the Oprah Show. It was her late mother’s (whose name she uses as a pen name) desire of becoming a writer that prompted Kitty to create a contemporary romantic series.
Being a creative person by nature who came into writing during a time in her life when the busy balance of career and family made her crave an escape into the world of romance, Kitty took that desire and turned it into a romantic series that offers the reader multidimensional characters.
In 2013, she published her first novel from The Stone Series, Sliding. Since then she has written 10 other novels in that series, among them Stoned, Second Chances, Surrender, Starting Over, and Silence. The final installment, Survivor was released in 2016. A holiday edition was released in late 2018.
Since then, Berry has released a trilogy titled, The Anatomy of Love and written a carry-over stand-alone novel, Vines of Ivy. In 2019, she released the Compatible Companions Trilogy.
Because angst-ridden, plot-driven, women's contemporary romances mesmerize Kitty, Berry writes only in that genre. While each book in The Stone Series can stand alone with its own story, Berry’s intention was to create carry-over characters to satisfy the need of the reader to know more after each novel ends. As an avid reader herself, Kitty enjoys the feeling of being there with the characters inside the story and often finds herself wanting to know more about them, missing them when the story is over, and becoming excited all over again when she discovers those familiar characters in subsequent novels. It is her hope that The Stone Series will do the same for her readers.
Kitty is married to a man she met in graduate school and has three boys who are almost men.
Kitty recently founded RomantiConn (a romance author signing event annually held in CT) and is currently working on the Falls Village anthology hybrid with her fellow RomantiConn authors.

DNF. Nope, just can’t finish this. I’m not a fan of the writing style and I’m 25% in and have mostly read sex scenes. Now, I’m certainly not opposed to good sex scenes, but every other page is just too much. Here’s a taste:

Chapter 1: Sebastian relives his memory of his ménage with Candy and Jackson
Chapter 1: Damian & Sydney have sex
Chapter 1: Taylor & Brook have phone sex
Chapter 1: Damian & Sydney are sexting with each other
Chapter 2: Sebastian gets BJ from random girl
Chapter 3: Damian & Sydney have phone sex
Chapter 3: Sebastian has sex with random girls
Chapter 5: Damian & Sydney have sex
Chapter 5: Damian & Sydney have sex again using sex toys
Chapter 5: Damian & Sydney have sex again
Chapter 5: Stan & Samantha have sex
Chapter 5: Damian & Sydney have elevator sex

Where’s the story you might ask??? Good question. Apparently this is a story about Sebastian and Skyler but they haven’t even met yet and everyone else is having sex. I like a little plot with my sex, so I’ve had enough of this.

Kitty Berry has a fan in me! I enjoyed book one (Sliding) and book two (Stoned) and this third installment was just as great. It featured my favorite characters from the first two books while it also introduced new characters. It had scorching hot sex scenes and lots of suspense. I loved that my favorite character from book two "Damian Stone" was in this story quite a bit and we were introduced to his brother Sebastian as well who is also the ideal sexy alpha-male! There was lots of action in this installment as well and you will be hooked! I am now intrigued by the character Pete and can't wait to read his story in the next book! Highly recommend this one (but you have to read Sliding/Stoned first)!

The third book in the Stone Series is my favorite because it allows you a continued look into the lives of Tate, Brooklyn, Damian and Sydney as well as introducing us to Sebastian who meets and falls in love with Skyler this author should write for TV and movies her details are so thorough and fulfilling. I recommend The Stone Series to anyone who wants an emersion into another world for a while.

This is a fabulous and creative story about Sebastien an aspiring rockstar who when sending the CD of his band to Tate auditions for him discovers Damien is his brother. He has a writing block until he meets his muse, Skyler. Their attraction is immediate but there are complications in the way not to mention more than one person out for revenge on this family so there is much danger. The romance is beautiful, and there are many connecting subplots full of action and suspense. I love that many of the characters from the previous two books in this series appear again in this book. I loved this story and could not put it down, nor did I want it to end. Luckily there are more stories ahead in this fantastic series.

Holy crap - I never thought you could increase the hotness of Damian and then in comes Sebastian. He might be the last one to arrive to the clan but he certainly packs a punch. But even this alpha male is tamed by finding his one true love Skyler. The emotions that these two brought to the series was top notch. I hope we get more of this couple in books to come.

Every one of these books gets better and better. This story is mostly about Sebastian and the things he learns when he finally gets his dream of being a rock star, of course the rest of the characters are included and a few new ones.

In the third novel of The Stone Series, Tate Taylor will discover new talent in a young Sebastian Morrison and his band from Las Vegas, Dominate. Sebastian is a musician who gets more than he bargained for when he sends a demo to the famous Tate Taylor at Taylor Studios Inc. After listening to the demo Tate flies to Sin City with his cousin, Damian in tow to see Sebastian perform with his band. When Sebastian takes the stage the resemblance is uncanny, Sebastian’s talent is obviously not the only thing he and Tate have in common, Sebastian is the brother Damian never knew he had. As Damian watches him perform he suspects he and Sebastian share more than just blood.

After signing a contract with Taylor Studios Inc., Sebastian and his band head to New York City with Tate and Damian to prepare their performance for Damian’s BDSM resort’s opening back in Vegas. While in New York and struggling to write his own material, Sebastian finds a muse in Skyler, a beautiful model at Hot Stones, Damian’s agency. Skyler’s inspiration helps Sebastian launch his career but that's not all he wants or needs from her.

Sebastian shows signs of being a sexual Dominant and asks his brother to help him train in the lifestyle so he can give Skyler what he suspects she’s longing for, the same that he desires. He wants her to belong to him and he will do anything he has to do to make that happen. However, Skyler is struggling with her own sexual desires, unsure if she can be what Sebastian wants, but afraid she’ll never find happiness if she doesn’t admit her true nature to herself. Damian, unable to take his brother on as his Dom in training, asks his close friend and fellow Dominant, Pete Roman to be his mentor. Pete already has a stubborn submissive and a secret past of his own creeping up on him but he agrees to train the natural Dominant. When he comes face to face with the submissive who is giving Pete a run for his money, Sebastian will get the surprise of his life.

While Sebastian is introducing Skyler to the pleasure of a BDSM relationship, his sister, Drea is trying to save hers with Mac. Mac’s secret past has come back to haunt him and is threatening not only his future but that of everyone he loves. Mac must try to finally put his long time struggle to rest and save himself and the woman he loves before it’s too late.

I was very disappointed with this effort. I found it hard to track who and what the story was about. It was shorter than the last effort, Stoned, which was appreciated. My least favourite of the series. I would find it hard to recommend this book.
