This did not grab my attention. It started great, but then it felt bland. Nothing about the characters held my attention. I felt like I was going through the motions reading the story. This may work for you, but it did not work for me. Reading is subjective. I loved the premise, so I was disappointed.

Captured Heart was my first Lana book. The blurb caught my attention. It eluded to suspense and intense obsession. I was right! This book is very intense and full of twists that leave you questioning what's going to happen next.
The heroine, Sienna, can't seem to decide what she wants or whom to trust. Just when she starts to feel safe in the arms of her kidnapper, doubt strikes and has her running again. She can run, but Nate won't have it. He'll bring her back every time.
Nate is obsessed and very possessive of Sienna. If he has to keep her his prisoner to keep her and to keep her safe, so be it. Punishing Sienna for disobeying leads to some smoking hot shower and bedroom scenes. If you like steam, Captured Heart will definitely deliver.
I did enjoy this story and it kept me intrigued and reading but I did get somewhat frustrated with the heroine and her wavering as well as the amount of internal dialogue by the characters. Had the characters actually talked a bit more, Sienna's mind probably wouldn't have had so much time for assuming and coming to her own conclusions and solutions. I did find the story had holes and lacked a sense of reality. I was able to put those things aside and just enjoy the book and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys Mob-style books with very intense alpha males who know their way around a woman's body. This one definitely gets 10 Stars for heat level.

An intense read at times between Nate, a man trying to get out of the mob, and Sienna, a girl he once knew, who he protected and cared for, now a grown woman and in the crosshairs of an evil mob boss, Nate’s boss. Nate is the only one who can protect her but she has a hard time coming to her senses and defies Nate, trying to escape and giving him a hard time. Nate takes it but also delivers “punishments” that they both enjoy. Can he keep her safe ?
A great read with steamy scenes, heartache, some suspense, a tragedy, and a first crush growing into first love. I enjoyed these two and how Sienna sticks up for herself even though she is a lot spoiled. Nate made me swoon and sigh, he knew he wanted Sienna, kept her safe and not once doubted his feelings for her...refreshing. I just got frustrated at times when Nate didn’t explain why she was in so much danger, just telling her it was to keep her safe with no explanation as to why. Otherwise a great read that kept me glued to the pages, great characters, a great plot and a story that flowed.

A very entertaining book and at times quite emotional.
First off I loved the beginning of the book and how it really framed the rest of the story. The story was an emotion fueled journey. Sometimes punching me in the gut and then pulling at my heart strings. The attraction between the heroine and hero was not just lusty and hot but also on a deeper connection. Trust was the one thing that they had to find towards one another before all the walls could come down. The hero was very protective and possessive. Could easily see how the heroine fell for him.
My not so favorite side to it:
I won't spoil the book by mentioning anything specific, but I sometimes had a hard time connecting with the heroine and the way of her thinking. I would compare myself to her and how I felt that I would react in her situations. Sometimes I was left thinking she didn't ask enough questions and demand answers. Just took everything at face value and was left in the dark about things. I did cringe at the heroine calling the hero daddy. Especially considering her circumstance, but that's just my opinion.

rcvd an advanced reader copy from the author for giving my two cents. it was an ok book. I'm over the whole virgin bad boy vibe of books. we meet sienna and Nate as kids being bffs until his family moves away. fast forward to present day when sienna moves back to LA. her father is throwing her a party plus hes running for Senate so it looks good. all good things come to an end. sienna is kidnapped and watches her father brutally murdered in front of her. Nate is part of the mafia since college. hes made a name for himself n has good guys part of his team but the big man must die. he ordered a kidnapping of a socialite and had no idea its sienna until he sees her and dayum she grew up gorgeous he had no idea that Edison wanted her father dead and there is no way on hell hes gonna get his hands on her. Nate wants her and she is so mad at him for everything but wants him too. he whisks her of to NYC for her safety...but can he keep her safe from Edison and from him?

This is the first book that I have read by Lana Hartley. I decided to give “Captured Heart” a try as I love mafia romances. This intense story captivated me from the first to last page. What's not to love about this book? You have a hunky Mafia bad boy and a beautiful innocent woman, hot sex scenes, danger, suspense, violence, hate and love. Nate and Sienna were once friends but as life went on they drifted apart. Year's later Nate's boss orders him to kidnap the daughter of a man running for the Senate. Will Nate follow orders when he realizes that Sienna is the target? Can Nate protect Sienna? If you're looking for an excellent plot with intriguing characters, some violence and as always romance “Captured Heart” is for you. Give it a try.

Well Worth The Wait
Oh this is a great start to 'meeting' a new author! This is the first time that I've read anything by Lana Heart and it most certainly will not be the last!! Nate, bad boy and gorgeous, and Sienna, feisty and loving, are given a second chance at love and what a journey it is! he was her childhood crush and he is one dangerous man now. When her father is killed and she is kidnapped she needs Nate to help her. This is a very fast paced read that will have you sitting on the edge of your seats and also reaching to switch on your fans to max COOL as things get steamy between these two passionate lovers. This book is a fairly good read but it was kind of slow moving and a bit repetitious in thoughts and statements by the characters. I lost count of how many times Nate referred to his 12 inch c*ck and every time he thought about how Sienna was his new obsession it was said like it was the very first time it occurred to him. Those are just little things though. Some things were unrealistic and the closeness of fifteen year old Nate and ten year old Sienna's relationship was odd. The most annoying thing though was Nate always telling Sienna she was his prisoner and would never be able to go home; also when he would order her to do what he said without giving a simple explanation that would have eased the situation. I did feel a real chemistry between the characters and the love scenes are pretty steamy. I would probably read more by this author because I think there is a lot of potential.

Well written story with nice storyline and plot. Characters well described. A second chance mafia romance with drama and danger in the mix.
I like it is written in dual POV, which gives the reader both the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. That makes the story even more emotional and captivating. The twists and turns are so unexpected that they made it worth the read. A story that is an emotional rollercoaster. It is of a nice length.
Sometimes is was a bit slow, lacked sense of real life and the constant changing of her mind annoyed me. It would have helped a lot with communication between the main characters to take a bit of the mind changing moments.
It has hot and steamy scenes especially after punishing her.
Enjoyable read.

This was compulsive reading as the story twists and turns and twist again in this deadly game of cat and mouse. I loved it!!

This is the first book I've read by this author and I thought it was great! It is a second chance romance with a mafia romance thrown in. Sienna and Nate get their second chance when Nate goes against his boss's orders to kidnap Sienna. You know when you defy a mafia boss there's going to be trouble. This story had suspense, danger, violence, drama, and even romance. Will Sienna and Nate get a HEA? I recommend reading this one to find out. I will be looking forward to reading more by this author.

Sienna and Nathan were close years ago but went their separate ways. Their "reunion" is necessarily friendly since Nathan was ordered to kidnap her. There is a fine line between love and hate. Which side of that line will Sienna end up on? Wonderful story! Danger, suspense, intrigue, drama with a twist of se*....what more could you want?

As someone who is a fan of Naughty Angels Publishing, I'm so happy I got to read this early see Lana go on her own. This book was incredible. Put together the mafia and second chance romance and that's a recipe for a great book. The writing was awesome and flowed well with the story. It was extremely hot and the characters were so enjoyable! I can't wait to read more from Lana.

They promised they would meet again one day - I do not think this was quite the circumstances they foresaw
This is a sweet second chance mafia romance
Enjoyed the characters and their inner battles with what they should do and what they wanted
Overall a good story - I did find that it lulled at times but it would soon pick up again- for the most part, it was a steady read that kept me engaged

Wow Captured Heart by Lana Hartley is an intense story!!!! The story line is intense and well written. The characters are passionate.
Nathan is the right hand man to the most dangerous mob boss in L.A. he is sick of all the violence, drug trafficking and prostitution rings and wants out.
He takes one final job and thats when his whole life changes.
Sienna cant believe that the man that has kidnapped her is her childhood crush Nate.

Oh Lana!!!!!! Keep it up please. This is full of drama, tension, sexual energy, eroticism, devotion OMG!!!!! But what makes it above the rest - the Author. There is so much heart and talent put into her work. I own everything she has written ( I hope ). GET this book it is HOT !!!!!!!!

This story of Sienna and Nate is fast paced and full of danger and action. Sienna is at the mercy of the mob boss who is also Nate's boss. Nate is determined to save her. A lot of drama in that her father is running for political office, he is murdered and she is kidnapped. Emotional and full of drama. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.

Nate and Seinna go way back. Known each other since they were kids. Missed chances when he had to move away. Nate promised her that he would see her again. He didn't think it would be at her kidnapping though. And Nate is not the same person he used to be.
I like this book. I truly do. It's a good read, exciting, sexy with a bit of dark. My kind of read. I did have a few drawbacks with the book, mainly the female character, but all in all it was a good book. I received this as an ARC for an honest review and this is me honest.

Captured heart. This was a drama filled story. I guess all the sex and talk of killing made it a dark romance. I felt the sex in the book got a little carried away. There was a couple times I didn't see the importance of the sex. I was glued to the book waiting on Edison to appear. When he does come in the story, it goes so fast and it isn't exactly explained how Edison got killed. I felt Nate and Sienna's love would sustain them even without all the rough punishment sex.
