Highgate Poets is a unique group, the only Highgate Poets in the world. Highgate itself holds a unique place in the history of English Literature and has an international reputation. So many great writers have lived in and around the village over the centuries, including A.E. Houseman, Yeats, Coleridge and Andrew Marvell. Highgate Poets are therefore on a continuum of writing and literature which stretches back through time. The current Highgate Poets group was founded in the late 1970s. The group has continued to publish good quality poetry with poets who meet regularly to discuss and get feedback on their work from each other. This is our 28th anthology of poetry and the poets within are diverse and different and interesting.
