I would do anything to get Mama home from the hospital in good health.
Even if it meant having to work for the Audaz gang. Besides, they just wanted me to seduce some Russian pig and steal information about his organization.
Of course, I never expected that ‘Russian pig’ to be someone like Dmitry.
Caring, sexy, muscular, tattooed and oh so charming…how could I possibly resist?
Well now the stakes have risen, and I’m going to have to make a decision between my family and my love.
It should be an easy choice though…right?
Dmitry
When your family is part of the Russian mafia, and you own the most exclusive club in Barcelona, no one messes with you, and everyone wants to be with you.
I’ve become accustomed to getting what I want around here, especially when it comes to the ladies.
Then she walked into my life. Vitoria, a smart, funny, gorgeous girl with the heart of a saint.
What can I say, I was really falling for this one.
But she’s wound up in some serious trouble with the rival gang that could end up being the death of us both.
At least that’s what they think. I’ll protect her no matter what.
They have no idea who they’re f***ing with!
Nikolai is a stand-alone novel with no cheating, some steam, and a happily ever after. There's also a little bonus content for your enjoyment.
Vitoria Mata leaves her university to go back home to Barcelona, Spain due to her mother's illness. While at the hospital, Vitoria discovers that while there are treatments that could cure her, they are very expensive, and her father cannot afford them. Her father has ties with the Spanish mob group Audaz, though her parents have worked to keep Vitoria away from their influence. When Vitoria is approached by Roberto (one of Audaz's leading men) to do a job for them in exchange for full payment of her mother's medical bills, Vitoria jumps at the chance. Roberto states that she must seduce Dmitry Volkov, the nephew of the head of the rival Russian Volkov faction, in order to learn the Volkov's secret plans for their upcoming attack on the Audaz group.
Dmitry Volkov, a tattooed, former hockey player, is an unrepentant ladies' man. He has lived in Barcelona for the past three years, helping his family run their clubs and enjoying the sun, beaches, and the Spanish women. The Audaz group feels that he will be an easy mark for Vitoria.
Vitoria arranges an "accidental" meeting, which turns into a date on Dmitry's yacht. The couple feel a connection, which causes Vitoria to feel torn about lying to Dmitry. Once again, Roberto holds her mother's health over her head, so she feels she must continue with the deception. Meanwhile, Dmitry's superiors have taken notice of his interactions with Vitoria, and apprise him of her connections to Audaz. Will Vitoria go through with the deception? Will Dmitry want to continue the relationship now that he knows he has been deceived?
Love the cover! I thought that the idea behind the story was pretty interesting, and some of the beginning scenes actually did grab my attention. I began to get a little frustrated with the story for its lack of depth. Once Vitoria arrives on Dmitry's yacht, it was like I was watching little snapshots of events, without really knowing how the couple got there. There was a lack of dialogue to create a connection, and I had a hard time believing that the couple fell madly in love after only two dates. I also do not believe that any mob family would have gone so easy on a rival intent on killing them- that rang particularly false to me. The story felt like it was being told to me instead of shown to me. The ending was also rather odd in that the story just stops.
So overall, there were some good ideas, but the execution wasn't quite there. It's okay if you want about an hour of light entertainment, but don't expect the earth to move beneath your feet while you read it. I received an ARC of this novella, and I voluntarily chose to write an honest review.
I read this book as part of an arc program. This is the third book in the series about Russian mobsters living in Spain. Vitoria is a young Spanish woman who was away at college and returned to Spain when she learned her mother was very ill. Vitoria was approached by a member of the Audaz mob in hopes of learning information about the Russians. Vitoria was promised if she could learn anything, they would pay for the expensive treatments her mother needed. Vitoria was told to get close to Dmitry, a member of the Russian mob and flirt with him to earn his trust. Vitoria was always told the Russians were violent and ruthless, so she thought she was doing the right thing to save members of the Audaz mob. When Vitoria gets to know Dmitry, she learns he is not what she thought and she begins to care about him. Soon Vitoria is torn about what to do. Dmitry wants to be with Vitoria, but he is told she is a member of Audaz, he asks her and thinks she is not involved with them. Both Dmitry and Vitoria want to be together, but because of the danger, they don't know what to do. I really like this series, I loved Dmitry, I thought he really loved Vitoria and he wanted to be with her. I thought Dmitry was torn between his family and his love. Good one.

Talk about chemistry and an electrifying connection between the two main characters. Sizzling isn't hot enough. No way! These guys burn it up. Twists, turns and unpredictable surprises abound in this short hot read. A solid storyline that draws you in and holds your imagination until the last word. The characters and scenes were realistic and believable. Ava did an exceptional job bringing this read to life.
I just finished reading Dmitry ( ARC COPY) and I LOVED IT 😍! You did it again, captivated me from the beginning;I couldn’t stop reading it till I reached the end. Very good story line; strong characters with integrity at heart ♥️ but honour, regarding FAMILY stands in the way causing manipulative behaviour in both parties involved Dmitry and Vitoria. But LOVE 💗 is the strongest motivator of all, isn’t it 😉?
Keep writing ✍️ Ava and I’ll keep reading 😉!
I received this book in a free ARC copy and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Another installment in this series by Ava Bloom. Vitoria returns home to Barcelona because of her mother's health issues and to help get the money to pay for her mother's treatments that will cure her from this disease, she agrees to a deal which will help her mom and help Audaz mob against the Russian mafia who are trying to take over Barcelona.
This was a fast pace, quick, sweet in some moments read. Some parts for me did happen a little fast but that didn't affect the overall story which I thought was really good. Worth the read.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Loved the story of two star crossed lovers belonging to enemy gangs. Vitoria was the daughter of a member of the Audaz gang. Dmitry was a member of the rival gang the Volkov family. This is a quick read but I was left wanting at the end I wished it was longer I would have liked it spelled out what was to become of Vitoria and Dmitry.
I love this quick read of Dmitry and Victoria. I love this steamy sexy story and how their relationship quickly evolves. Their relationship is very complicated, where they have to choose between love and family. Though family is incredible important to both in the end love is an overwhelming factor!

rcvd an advanced reader copy from the author for giving my two cents. we meet Viktoria, home in Barcelona bc her mother is ill. a friend of her fathers is there and offers Viktoria a chance to pay for her mother's care...all she has to do is seduce the nephew of the Russian mob and get into...smtg she doesbt want to do. we meet Dmitry, part of the family aka Russian mob who is practically ran over by the most striking woman hes seen in Spain. he has to have her but first dinner. all is going according to plan but viktoria feels guilty esp about deceiving Dmitry. Dmirtys family knows about the girl and wants him to end it but he has feelings for her. will viktoria get the info needed to save her mother? will Dmitry admit his feelings?
This book follows the ongoing battle between the Audaz gang and the members of the Volkov family of whichh Dmitry is a high level member of the family. He meets Vitoria, a local Spanish girl that stirs something within him that no other local woman has been able to do. The complication is that Vitoria was sent to seduce Dmitry and find out secrets of his family's planned attack on the Audaz headquarters. Vitoria has a dilemma when she realizes she has fallen for the handsome bad boy and is not sure whether she can go through with the deception. There are some nail-biting twists that kept me on the edge of my seat while I wondered whether there could be an HEA in this book. Don't miss this great but quick read.
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review.
