My wife has no memory of me. Then again, Grace isn’t my real wife...
I don’t know much about her... Where she’s from, how she ended up in Hope Creek, why she has strange marks on her wrists and how she survived The Icebreaker that wiped out a good portion of humanity.
What I do know is that she’s one of the handful of remaining fertile women left and so the Council wants me to have a baby with her. What I do know is that I’m pretending to be her husband so she doesn’t run off and spill the town’s secrets to the world. What I do know is that she has the most mesmerizing blue eyes that my heart can’t escape from.
And I could go on living this lie but the truth has a way of catching up just as the most perfect of worlds can end up crumbling. And now we both have to face the facts... She with the fact that she’s been living in a devastated world and sleeping with a stranger.
And I with the fact that I’m in love with a woman who’s engaged to my brother.
Knocked Up The Other Brother is a steamy, stand-alone second chance romance with a HEA. No cheating and no cliffhangers.
ALERT! THS COVER NOVELLA ONLY REPRESENTS 15% OF THE BOOK’S CONTENTS. DO WHAT YOU WILL WITH THIS INFORMATION.
I was expecting a modern-day romance novella, so I was quite surprised to discover that this was a near-future dystopia surrounding what was to be one bride in a tug-o-war between two well-meaning brothers.
Length: Average novella.
Character Development: Main characters – Grace, Travis, and Michael – are about as developed as I would have expected for the length of the story. Yes, we get a chance to get a decent background (eventually) of all three from where they started and how they ended up by the end of the story which was predictable as well as bland. I am not sure what I was expecting of the three. Maybe what should had been more conflicting resolved way too smoothly, considering the mother of these two brothers felt she had the right to determine life or death over all beneath her “rule”. And boy, did she have the equipment to shape those to her will! I think I just wanted more storyline, more development.
Emotional Development: Now I do believe how Grace’s feelings eventually settled out at the end. And I really did feel she was very lucky to have survived what should have killed her. I believed Michael’s love and eventual grief over her alleged death, but I thought he would have investigated the matter sooner rather than “we got busy” excuse. I expected more from him. As for Travis, I think the writer adequately developed his past which was hardly as easy as his brother’s life had been, including his grief over the loss of his wife and child because of childbirth. I just kept thinking in the back of my mind that everything was running too smoothly without enough complications.
Speed of Action: Should had been longer. Everything went too quickly. Really a disappointment because this plot had possibilities.
Predictability: Way too predictable. It was a new plot universe which I considered original. That’s what really hooked me. However…
Credibility Issues: Too many problems. That’s what really ruined much of this book for me. What confuses me that for someone who knows the difference between anterograde and retrograde amnesia (or maybe she’s smart enough to know she needed to ask someone who did know about these two medical conditions), why did she get all this other stuff wrong? Poor, lousy research, especially when it comes to planetary ecology. Her time line was completely off in term of what is legitimately possible to happen within a range of time. And where was her editor???
Grammar and technical errors included: Inappropriate use of commas. Not knowing how to spell “all right”. Persistent misspellings that cannot be corrected with a spellchecker. These require a read-through to find them.
In all, I was disappointed with this story. Likeable characters but everything else was either scientifically impossible or too smooth in its predictability. I had expected so much more.

This is a crazy end of the world story of unexpected live. The beginning reads like a soap opera ...... so much drama. Grace finds her self in a hidden oasis surround by the wasteland and the wife to a man she does not remember. It a cute story if not a bit predictable.

Working in the dank, dingy room. Life is all changed and she has the scar on her face to remind her of this. Nothing seems to thrive, all Grace seems to see around her is survival. But she is a lucky one. A great boyfriend, she does have a job too. But when she is called into the boss' office and getting the news was bad enough, to hear WHO caused the news was too much. His wife and baby have died, he is running a farm, and knows nothing about doing that. He sees something outside the protection of the Dome, and when he realizes what this is, he can't just leave her there. He is told that she needs to stay inside for her protection. Travis isn't really prepared for what happens after she wakes up. She does though, and she is scared and the worst part, she can't remember anything from the last 7 years. Poor Travis gets told how to get her to stay, and he follows it. Until his heart has better ideas.
When Grace wakes up in a strange room, in a strange house, and with strange people fussing over her, she is rightfully frightened and alone. Then the most handsome man with the bluest of eyes comes in, and warning sirens go off in her head. That is when Travis tells her what is happening. She is in Hope Creek, she is his wife. Wait, what now?? Grace is not sure about this, but things slowly get told to her. Something still feels off, but she is not going to question the man who saved her. Grace feels like there is something off about the whole situation between her and her "husband" and does a little checking around when he is gone from the house that particular morning. Now things are piecing together, but there is still so much to learn.
Grace likes being his wife. Travis is really liking her being his wife, and the chemistry between them can not and will no longer be denied. Things are all good at the moment, but that damned fate needs to rear her ugly head. A birthday party speech starts that ball in motion. What did that woman say, something about a dome? Sparks fly while Travis (at first) was trying to get Grace's mind off of the speech, but when their feelings enter it is far from trying anything. Then lightning causes the truth to be shown. Feeling embarrassed, foolish and angry as Grace is being told what the truth really is. Travis being concerned comes to find out how Grace is doing and she makes her answer obvious.....SMACK!
Things get said, harsh things but the truth now. Travis informs Grace he is leaving to get things needed to fix the safety that they are living in....Hope Creek. Grace informs him she is going too. The city where she came from may hold answers for her, help her remember who she is. Their journey is no lightweight easy stroll. Yet Travis is amazed with how strong she is, she never complains at all. They really aren't talking, but they are bother noticing each other. At one point of their journey Grace starts getting sick. Odd, but nothing that can't be blamed on exhaustion. They arrive at the big city, and things are not great but easier getting around inside.
Now is the time fate shows her dealt cards, and they hold some really big changes. Brothers meet again for the first time in years, Grace learns that she was with Michael, who just so happens to be Travis' brother. One brother leaves in order to not hurt the other, and with that choice breaks two hearts instead. Mommy in law dearest reappears. A letter written to explain the reason why Grace can't and won't stay. To top all of this off, there is a secret that is showing up. Brothers stop mommy dearest, another coma/being out for Grace. Love is found and told again, and by the people it should be from. The best part is the letter written is shown to the person who was actually chosen, the secret is told, and Grace and Travis have their love filled happy ever after.

I found this to be an unusual and interesting story, captivating from the beginning, and full of heart. In a world that's changed dramatically, Grace is doing her best to establish a new normal and find some stability. She lost her entire family, gave up her dreams, and now lives a meager day-to-day existence. She has a boyfriend who loves her desperately. But she and Michael have to meet secretly because Michael's family would not approve of Grace: she is simply not acceptable socially.
Grace is a wonderful character. She's strong, intelligent, gifted, gracious...and naive. It's her trusting nature that gets Grace into trouble and nearly costs her life as Michael's mother plots against her. What a plot it is, too. Before Grace has a clue, her memory of all events since the the cataclysmic event that changed the world has been erased, and she has been thrown out into the unforgiving wilderness to die.
Finally we meet our handsome hero, Travis. He's got a lot to love about him: he's confident, strong, smart, and a natural protector. But he's also a very scarred man, and he definitely doesn't like what the council of Hope Creek has in mind for him. It's not in his nature to live a lie, but that's what they want him to do. Since Grace has no idea who she is or where she is, and she can't go back where she came from, why not just convince her that she's married to Travis?
I know, your eyes just rolled back in your head, didn't they? You're thinking, "This has got to be one of the craziest plots, and there's no way I'm going to waste time on this one. Thanks, but no thanks." Yeah, I hear you. But in the context of the setting the author presents in the novel, this works. Not the council's idea--it's crazy. I mean the plot line works.
Travis and Grace have a rough road ahead of them, but eventually passion wins out (woo-hoo!). Grace's warm and caring nature is the balm Travis has needed to begin his healing process. Travis is great for Grace, too. So, things are going great. Finally. Then, suddenly, they aren't.
This story of intrigue, deceit, betrayal, hope, beauty, and love takes the reader on a wonderful journey. This is a book that can be shared with your co-workers: it's definitely got steamy romantic scenes, with just a bit of mature language.
Grace Dawson finished the simple dress she was making, disheartened that her dream of being a fashion designer was gone now, as seen in the drab cotton dress she had completed. All the amazing ways she would have produced this dress were taken away, ever since the Icebreaker event wiped out most of humanity!
Four years of extreme cold that many did not survive, followed by extreme heat, even dormant volcanos erupting everywhere. The heat of course caused meltdown and an enormous flood that took away half of those who had still been living. Now Grace worked in a dressmaker shop with her friend, making dull, uncomfortable clothes. Broken, lost, and alone, just trying to survive day by day. And then she is taken to the owner’s office and fired because her boyfriend’s mother deliberately put in a complaint. How will she survive now?
Michael Gerwin tracks Grace down and she tells him that his mother got her fired to break them apart. His family is one of the Pioneers who created the city and rule it. Grace is merely a Survivor. But he won’t give her up and decides they must get married right away. He finds her a job at Sanctuary caring for the Pioneer children, the hope of the future. But after 3 days, he has not returned to see her.
While waiting for Michael, Grace is summoned to the lab where Michael’s mother waits. She wants to remove the scar on Grace’s face as a wedding gift, she says. She encourages Grace to think how pleased Michael will be to see her repaired face! So she agrees to allow the procedure, despite her uncomfortable doubts. And when Michael finally returns, he is told that Grace has left the safety of the city and he’ll never find her now in the wastelands. They only found a burned body and the charred engagement ring he had given her.
This book is very well written, with more twists and turns than any other book I have ever read! Just when you think things have resolved and calmed down, the story line goes off in another direction that keeps the reader glued to the page! The characters are vividly drawn and memorable. Grab a copy and see what really happened to Grace in this never-ending struggle to survive.

They are living in a catastrophe . It's almost like their world is coming to an end. People have died, the climate is horrible, their clothes are not the same and are made from synthetic materials and they are taking supplements because their is barely a food supply. Their is a shortage of children also. Grace hates this life she has lost her family and her job.
She does not have many options and her boyfriends mother hates her she is the one whom got her fired what will Grace do times are really hard for their community. All Grace wanted in life was to be a fashion designer. Michael is in love with Grace and they have a secret relationship. Grace has a scar and Michael's mother pretends like she wants to give Grace a wedding present to fix that scar, but believe me she did not fix her scar and now Michael can not find Grace.
Travis is another character in this story. The Icebreaker has also affected his life. He finds a battered woman and once she awakens she does not remember the past seven years of her life. The kind folks of Hope Creek decide to rewrite the past seven years of Grace's life. They decide to use Travis as Grace's husband. These people really want a baby in Hope Creek.
Travis lost his wife and child in the Icebreaker as still has not gotten over it. Him and Grace have some battles, but their marriage seems like it's going to work. Then they decide to visit city Q and Travis meets the brother he though he lost Michael what a coincidence. This is when things get good. Now one brother has left feeling hurt and betrayed. The crazy mother really takes the cake she is still not done with Grace because Grace now remembers why she did. Do Travis and Grace stay together or does Grace go back to Michael once she regains her memory.
When I got this book I expected it to be different, but I'm glad my thoughts were wrong I've never read anything like this before and I loved it.

This book is a new departure for Ashlee Price as the story is set in the future when a catastrophic tragedy has occurred on Earth. First there was a period of ice known as the Icebreaker and then extreme heat which lead to the ice melting and flooding. Most of humanity did not survive. This particular story centres around Grace who has a scar on her face caused by the troubles. But she is lucky. She has a wonderful boyfriend, Michael, and they both love each other - only problem is, is that his mother hates her and through trickery gets her banished from their society and with no memory of the last 7 years and out in the wilderness with no protection. In Hope Creek, Travis, a widower whose wife and baby died in the troubles, is a farmer and is very lonely when , whilst out , he spies a body and knows he must help. He rescues Grace and , as fertile women are in short supply, he is told he must make her believe that she is his wife. Grace is cautious but the chemistry between her and Travis is way off the charts and they settle into married life. But little does she realise that Travis and Michael are brothers and that they will all meet! What will Grace do when she realises what Michael's mother did? Who does Grace love? Will they survive and where will they settle? Will she forgive Travis for his lies to her? Are there any implications from their love? This is quite a difference for Ashlee price but I look forward to more of this from her. I love her 'usual' genre of stories and think, this just proves what an adaptable and great writer that she is. She writes with passion and flair with a fantastic storyline and amazing characters. I'm certainly looking forward to more of Ashlee's stories with anticipation. Based on the description of the book, I was taken a bit by surprise with how it got started off - in the future after devastating natural disasters killed off much of the Earth's population and new "cities" had been created. There were the elite citizens, those who had money or whose skills had been deemed useful to survival. They had been taken off Earth prior to the disasters and returned to rebuild once things settled down. There was also a "town," Hope Creek, saved by scientists/inventors - a place where things still grew and animals survived. Grace survived the disasters and was working in one of the cities. She met one of the elite (Pioneers), Michael, and they fell in love. Problem? Michael's mother didn't like Grace and did everything she could to keep the two from marrying. Her actions led Grace to turn up outside Hope Creek with no memories past 7 years prior, and into the arms of Travis. Travis is told to pretend to be Grace's husband. Things get interesting here and there are plenty of bumps along the way for these two. I don't want to give any of the story away but Grace, Michael and Travis are each faced with difficult decisions, plenty of emotions, and figuring out the right thing to do. While it started out in a different direction than I was expecting, I enjoyed how the story flowed and we learned more about the characters, including Michael's mother, who is not a nice person. It was an enjoyable read with a post-apocalypse second chance romance.
The earth has went through many disasters from ice to heat/volcanic eruptions and flooding. The rich and scientific community are the elite and everyone else is the workers. Most people didn’t make it and it’s a struggle to survive. Grace wanted to be a fashion designer before but now is working on plain dresses with no fancy alterations. Michael is higher up and is engaged to Grace but his mother hates Grace because she’s below them, a worker. She tells Grace that she will remove a scar on her face for Michael but instead erases her memories for a few years.and takes her outside the city.Grace is found out side HopeCreek a area that is close to the way Earth use to be. The council wants no one outside the city to know about them and Travis is ordered to have a child with Grace who he told them is his wife. The council needs children to carry on as the hope for a future. Grace remembers nothing but thinks Travis wouldn’t lie so they begin acting as a married couple. Mean while Michael is led to believe that Grace went outside the city and was burnt as a body is found and her engagement ring is smoky. As time goes on Grace gets her memories back but what about Michael and what will happen when she finds out that Travis lied about things that he told her? What will she do?

In a world after a cataclysmic event, Grace is a dress maker in City Q in Love (and engaged to) with Michael, a prominent son of the Pioneers of the city. Michael's mother goes out of her way to have Grace fired from her job and will do anything to keep them apart. Even going so far as to Chemically induce amnesia and throw her out of the city effectively leaving her for dead. Travis and his dog Toby find Grace outside of Hope Creek cold and almost dead. He and the others of Hope Creek, a domed city hidden from the outside world where plants still grow, nurse her back to health. When Grace wakes, she knows who she is but has no memory of the last 7 years and has no idea that the world had changed due to the Icebreaker. In order to keep Hope Creek's secret the decision is made to tell Grace she is Travis's wife and keep her in the dome. As time passes feelings develop between them and the live as man and wife until the day the dome begins to fail. That is the day Grace learns the truth and insists on going with Travis on his trip to City Q for parts to repair the dome so that she can find out what really happened to her. But neither of them are prepared for the truth. This book was so interesting and kept me on the edge of my seat. A read about a post apocalyptic world where half the population is wiped out, with cities based on the alphabet and a secret dome that hides a small town from the rest of the world, keeping the residents safe. A book I wouldn’t normally read but was pleasantly surprised. Grace is a resident of city Q and is engaged to Michael, problem is his mom who is in the upper class, doesn’t like her at all and devises a plan to get rid of her. Grace wakes up in a strange bed and Travis is the man that saved her, finding her outside of the dome, near death and brings her into the dome. She doesn’t have memories of the last years after the Icebreaker and the new world confuses her but Travis is there and convinces her she is his wife. Things don’t add up and when she finds out what happened during her lapse in memory she sets out with Travis for supplies, back to the city and to find answers. What happens when she returns ? A good read with some steam, two brothers who love one woman and a choice that will change all three of their lives forever. It was a bit strange reading about a post apocalyptic world with romance but I did enjoy it and I loved the ending and how it all plays out with all three of them, the sacrifices, the heartbreak, the love and a great HEA. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
Spoilers likely, so please don't read beyond this if you're not okay with spoilers.
What I didn't like - Grace having sex with Michael though she didn't end up with him. Courtney being a second choice when he really wanted Grace. If Michael really wanted Courtney, he could have been with her since the ship, but he wasn't and was wiyh Grace for years and had slept with Grace, was in love with Grace even when she was pregnant by his brother, and he lets Courtney know he's in love with Grace. She expresses sympathy and sorta tries to seduce him though he's mourning Grace. Basically I didn't like Michael or Courtney very much. It both did and didn't make sense. I would have liked them together if it had all been done differently. I don't like Travis thinking about all the women he's slept with. In a romance, all that belongs in the past. I want to read about the couple, not sex with their past partners.
What I liked - The overall story and universe created, the secondary characters, Grace being understanding and not jealous of Angie, the relationship and rapport between Grace and Travis, the dome (not very original but still it was cool).
Overall - It was a sweet story that felt sorta all over the place, and while I do like it overall, it could have been done better.
This is an exciting futuristic romance story.Grace lost her family with the ice storm but she was in the shop that saved her ,now she works as a seamstress for the right to live in the city. Her boyfriend's mother has her fired. When Michael finds Grace crying in an alley he asks what's wrong ,she tells him she was fired and if she doesn't find a new job she will be Sent outside the wall.Everyone fears outside the wall. There are twists and turns to this story that will keep you on the edge of your seat.I couldn't put the book down. It has suspense, action, romance and so much more. When Michael finds Grace a job and asks her to marry him,his mother comes and takes her to the lab to remove her scar from her face. But is that all she is removing? When Grace wakes up she's in a strange place and she doesn't remember anything. When she's rescued by a handsome stranger she doesn't know who he is.The town tells him he has to convince her she's his wife. Will Grace fall for the handsome stranger? Will he fall for her? When they sneak into the city to steal parts to mend the dome will Grace remember? Will she still love the man that saved her? Or will she be in love with Michael? Will the man she loves leave her behind rather than hurt his brother that he thought was dead? There are so many twists and turns, danger at every corner for Grace.I can hardly wait to see what's next by this amazingly talented author.
This book takes place in the future where the earth has gone thru several divesting castastrophies that has changed it from the world we know now. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about this book when I first started it but because I had read other books from this author I kept reading. I’m so glad I did, even though this book is set in the future, love and hardships are the same throughout time. Grace lived in City Q and worked as a semstress. She was secretly dating Michael on of the Pioneers and from a different class. When Michael’s mother finds about it she has Grace fired and later thrown out of the city and left to die. Travis finds the unconscious women and ends up pretending to be her husband in order to keep the secret of town Hope from the rest of the world. Grace has no memory from before the Ice Breaker and no memory of being married to Travis. Will Grace find out about the secret he is trying to hide? Will Grace go back to the city and her finance Michael? Will the town of Hope be able to hide from the rest of the world? I received an Arc copy and I’m leaving a voluntary review.
3.5 stars. The book was well written. I just don't like post apocalyptic stories. I should have read the blurb better. Grace was dating Michael and promised to marry him. Michael knew his mother did not like Grace and he was afraid to ask his parents permission to marry her. Michael's mom had Grace's face reconstructed, erased her memory, and had her thrown out of the City. Travis who is Michael's brother finds Grace and brings her into Hope Creek a domed city. The council of Hope Creek convince Travis to take Grace as his wife. They fall in love. When the dome is breaking Travis agrees to travel to the city to find the parts to fix it. Grace goes with him. Michael sees Grace and tell her she is his fiancée. He arranges for Grace to have her memory restored and discovers Grace is pregnant. Travis leaves Grace because he does not want to hurt his brother. Grace realizes she doesn't want to marry Michael, she loves Travis. Travis comes back to the City for Grace, they have a baby and a HEA.

This book was a step away from the norm for this author but it was written to the same high standard as this authors other books.
This is a story set in the future, in a world ravaged by disaster. Pioneers control the survivors that remain, making rules and taking control. Grace is promised to one of the Pioneers, Michael, but his mother has others plans and when she discovers that they want to marry, sets about getting rid of Grace. She is cast out, with no memory of her previous life and is found and taken to a new community. When she awakens she is told that Travis is her husband and they slip into a life together. But there are hidden secrets that we know will eventually come out, jealousies, guilt, betrayal and hard decisions to be made, that fill this story with twists at every turn of the page. A super read.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I have read a few books from Ashlee Price and was not expecting an Urban Fantasy book. This was the story of Grace who was in love with Michael who was a Pioneer in the post appocaliptic world. Michael is also in love with Grace and wants to marry her. When he tells his mother she immediately sets about to get rid of Grace. This she does and Grace is left without memories and cast out of the city. She meets Travis and they begin a life together. This is a very good story full of love, jealousy, plot, twists and turns to keep you engrossed until the end. This is when Michael, Grace and Travis have to make decisions which will affect their futures. Lovers of Urban Fantasies and lover of love stories will enjoy this book.
This book is so different from what Ashlee Price normally writes but that is in no way a bad thing. The story is an emotional rollercoaster of a read, with so many twists and turns and characters who are very well developed. As far as characters go Michael's mother would have been the mother in law from hell and thanks to her despicable actions Grace gets to meet Travis.
I really enjoyed to concept of these three main characters, Michael the fiance who thinks Grace is dead thanks to his mother, Travis Grace's rescuer and pretend husband and of course Grace who has no memories of the last few years. I thought Ashlee did an excellent job with this one and I would love to tell you what happens but that would come under the spoiler hearing and I never give spoilers.
I would have given it five stars but I thought the last part of the book was a little rushed - pity.
So when I started this book, I was looking for an ordinary romance read but it was post-apocalyptic. Since I advance read the book I didn't go for the blurb. It was so unexpected, the premise of the story but I found myself intrigued with the events and continued with it. I don't even know how to give the simple gist as it was a but confusing. (Told ya not my cup of tea) Just that it has enough twists and turns, mysteries, intrigue, most importantly a love triangle and well the romance itself makes for a great story!! Sure I loved Michael and Grace but loved her with Travis more. And there were all the good hearted scientists, docs and of course the evil ones. Every character was built so well to make for a complete story. I'm voluntarily reviewing the free copy of the book and this is my unbiased opinion of the story.
The title does not really tell the story. I expected this book to be a brother rivalry that culminated in who gets the girl. Then I read the blurb and thought it was going to be some apocalyptic survivor story with the woman being controlled by makeshift government.
In reality it is neither, yet it is both, plus much more. While it is a love triangle of sorts it is really more a reflection on society and the importance we all place on money. Grace, Michael and Travis all play a part in bucking this self importance and in the process find the love, acceptance, trust and healing that allows them to have a future in this new world that supports everyone’s worth.
While I have made this book sound very grand, it is but it is subtly done weaving the lessons around what is truly a sweet love story.
The world has been devastated by natural disasters. Grace is the sole surviving member of her family, she finds herself in City Q and is rescued from certain death by Michael who happens to be the son of the woman who runs the City. His mother disapproves of the relationship and tries to get rid of Grace by wiping her memories and putting her out of the city. However Grace is found by none other than Michael's long lost brother who lives in a secure town built by his former father in law. When Grace comes to she is told she is Travis' wife, eventually they start to fall in love but then they have to make a trip to City Q to get some parts for the towns dome. There the truth comes out and Grace is left to be with Michael, she however is in love with Travis.

The future looks different for many people and privileged people live higher than those without, but when Grace's status is less than ideal for her soon to be mother-in-law, she stops at nothing to make Grace go away, but when Grace finds herself on the other side of the wall, will she survive?
Travis is one of the major players in Hope Creek, but he has to do so much in order to make the town survive against all odds. But when Grace comes into town and it is decided that she will be his "wife", he can't say no. But what happens when she becomes so much more to him? Will he let her go back across the wall if the time comes? Or will she stay with him?
What a great story from start to finish and the twists and turns are great!!! It will keep you entertained. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was very different than I expected. It takes place in near future 2045 after Earth has had several catastrophic events. It might have been from global warming. Grace lives in the city with the wealthy, scientific and necessary service people. She falls in love with Michael but his witch of a mother hates Grace. She manages to get her out of the city and tells Michael she died. She is rescued by Travis, a farmer, from a domed community with some eggheads of their own that made some accurate predictions and prepared for it. There is lots more drama to the story. Scary that the timing is almost relatable. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book

I have to say that I can't put the book down since I started till I finished. The plot is quite unique and it did give me the full interest in the book. My only double take was the pacing it took at the later part and some details I guess that I wished the author expanded more on. When I reached the last quarter part of the book it seemed too rushed for me. As for the details that I wished the author has expounded more on, the relationship between the main characters should have been given more attention to or explained more or that developed more into the story.
But then, it is quite good.

The story takes place in the year 2045 after devastating natural disasters killed off much of the Earth's population. Grace lives in the city where a group of survivors called the Pioneers make their own rules. Grace is in love and engaged to Michael one of the Pioneers but his mother doesn't like her. Michael's mother deceives Grace and she loses her memory. She ends up in a town called Hope Creek where she is led to believe she is married to Travis a farmer. This was a fantastic read. What will happen when Grace regains her memory and realises she's been deceived? Who will she choose Michael or Travis? You need to grab this book and find out. I voluntarily received an advance arc copy through Booksprout for an honest review.
