Also Kim Diehl's Simple Reflections journal, where this best-selling author of 14 books on quiltmaking has gathered her favorite quilts, recipes, and more to enjoy year-round.
This is the book that started the Simple Whatnots series. I've read others, and they are all good, but this one is special! Eye-catching, colorful, and full of lessons. I learned about a flying geese variation, just in time to incorporate it into a quilt that is in the stage of "becoming". I've got 6 16 patch blocks, an idea for sashing, but I needed a border with pizzaz. Got it!!! Ha!
The reason I love this book is because Kim Diehl gives you an idea of what color fabric would work in your mini quilt. Her designs are so cute you can't stop at one mini. Hang them or use them as table toppers on end tables.
Kim Diehl writes with concise instructions while keeping you involved in the actions required by yourself. Her books have always impressed me. It's the personal touches.
