To improve their bluegill fly fishing Terry and Roxanne Wilson kept diaries of all of their over 4,000 trips in more than 50 years in pursuit of Lepomis machrochirus, the true bluegill. There were successes and many failures, but each step in their learning process led to better understanding and improved fish catching in all conditions and seasons. Now you can benefit from their experiences to increase both the numbers and sizes of the bluegill you catch.
The authors draw from decades of fishing diaries, to produce a VERY READABLE timeline of strategies, tactics & gear for effective Bluegill harvesting all year long. Many surprises! And helpful anecdotes to make points clear. Highly recommended!
From spring to winter and a to z. There is a thorough explanation of tactics, conditions and how to approach a large variety situations. There is also a great section of flies and how to tie them.
Good book with lots of information presented in an unusual manner. I did not realize the different fly rod outfits employed in fishing for bluegill. It is food for thought. Recommended.
