Savy believes she is a terrible person—murder and kidnapping hardly scream innocence. But what choice did she have? She had vowed to protect her little sister at any cost. Now, after years on the run, Savy believes they have finally escaped. But when her past crashes back into her life, she must decide if they will flee yet again, or stand and fight the Monster that has haunted their steps. Only problem? Defeating her past means trusting the sexy but dangerous outlaw biker who comes with demons of his own.

Diablo—the ruthless President of Havoc Motorcycle Club—is the devil in every sense of the word. And he definitely doesn’t have time for women, preferring the ease of club girls instead. That is until a curly-haired woman with haunted eyes stumbles into his life, awakening both his passion and a deep need to protect her. So when her life is threatened by a man from her past, he is quick to jump to her aid. He has no doubt he can save her, but can he win her heart in the process?

This is a contemporary romance with a dark twist. It contains sexual situations and scenes of violence. Recommended for ages 18 and over.

3.5*

Savannah has lived through hell. And hell isn’t done with her yet.

After the death of her mother Savannah’s life changed drastically. Her father Paul blamed her for his wife’s death. He beat and abused her daily. His friend raped her everyday for six years.

When the attention is going to switch to her young sister Savannah escapes. Taking Ena with her. They live a life on the run. Trusting no one and never staying long. At the first sign or hint that Paul has found them Savannah grabs Ena and runs. For ten years they’ve managed to stay one step ahead of the devil.

One night she meets Diablo the president of the Havoc MC. The attraction is instant for them both but Savy is wary of everyone particularly large imposing men. But Diablo is nothing if not persistent. He’s a man who knows what he wants and he’s determined to get it.

I liked all the major characters (with the exception of Paul of course).
It’s a multiple POV book which I personally like. I can see why some people might not. But I like to see how different characters view and feel about things.

This is an okay read, nothing original but it’s entertaining enough.

If I had to pick fault I’d have to say it seemed a little slow in places. Also I’m not sure how easy it would be to run away while keeping your real names and still attending school. But it’s an MC romance so it’s not intended to be taken too seriously.

I have to say thank you to the author for the fabulous cover 😊

This made no sense at all
Storyline is dumb, basically. Characters are uninteresting and lack personality. Despite being repeatedly told that this MC President is the Diablo, he hardly appears.

Trying to understand the concept of the storyline is difficult since it doesn't make much sense. While I am trying my utmost to suspend belief, I am not able to do so.

Throughout the novel, the main character is on the run. She is fleeing her evil father with her little sister. In the past, she has been abused and has kept her background a secret.

It's understandable why she's evasive and all, but I can't understand why her father has this vendetta against her. He blames his daughter for the death of her mother and hates her as a result. It was believed that the mother died because they were involved in a bad car accident, and he was trying to save one of them and the mother insisted he save the child.

Isn't that what a parent does? Nope, Paul got mad at her and hates her to this day. The thing is, his wife had terminal cancer, so she was destined to die anyhow. Ultimately, this is what prompted the cop father of the heroine to become hateful and to avenge his terminally ill wife's death.

Rather than offering any meaningful explanation for his wife's death, he only made no sense at all by blaming his daughter. The girl father was the antagonist in the book, plotting to kill his child through that accident.

There are so many ridiculous things about this book that this is barely scratching the surface. The male lead was nothing more than background noise. The entire romance was a total flop. Even the intimate scenes had mediocre quality.

The book didn't resonate with me. Both the writing and execution were poor.

I wouldn't recommend it to romance enthusiasts.

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

Great start to this series. We get to meet two incredibly strong sisters with Savy being really awesome I must say. Savy meets Diablo the leader of the Havoc MC and everything changes after that. Great focus on the MC life, characters you can love, and enough drama to really keep the story moving. If you enjoy steamy MC romance novels then you should really give this one a shot. I really enjoyed it so I give it 4/5 stars.

Not Worth It

If this book wasn't on KU I would have returned it for a refund. I didn't like that the story was told from three different POV's and I didn't like that what happened in the previous chapter was retold just in a different POV. Also, for me it is was unbelievable that Savy was as well adjusted as she was after what she went through as a child.

This could have been a 4 Star book! The plot, backstory, genre, even the characters were there! It needed an editor, co-writer, or hell even a friend to read through it and say fix this, this and this and you’ve got a high rated book and maybe a good start to a series. If your going to write In this genre learn how to write sex scenes, and put them at an appropriate point (hint: not 2/3+ into the book when it’s about a badass biker). I finished it but I really almost didn’t, at least 5 times I was tempted to not to.

Uncaged by L.A. Boles is book one in the Havoc MC series. It is kind of you’re a-typical MC reads, but boy is it entertaining. The book looks at the characters Savy and Diablo. Savy is trying to make ends meet, bringing up her younger sister and working as a bartender in a strip club, she is doing everything she can to stop her past from coming back to haunt her. She believes that the stars are starting to align when bad things start happening again which put her and her sister in danger. Enter Diablo, one look at Savy and he knew that she was it for him. As the President of the MC, he has his own secrets but also has a brotherhood behind him who support his decisions. The book focuses on the relationship that Savy and Diablo are building as well as the background story regarding what Savy has gone through and who is chasing her.

I enjoyed reading this story a lot. Savy is a straight-shooter and when you find out the sacrifices, she has made to help her sister and the things she has been put through in order to survive, you find out how strong a character she is. She doesn’t suffer Diablo lightly and understands the darkness that runs through him. Diablo is a sexy, dominant alpha male, but he does try and let Savy shine and take care of herself. I really liked the strength of both of these characters, especially when they made decisions that society may not necessarily agree with, but they made them un-apologetically.

The story is typical in the sense that it shows the background of the 1% MC and how the brotherhood works. I especially liked the budding relationship we see between Savy’s sister and Skull…it will be interesting to see if a book comes out of that. There are certainly themes of violence, suspense and steamy scenes which I would expect from an MC romance and this one certainly didn’t disappoint in that area. I also liked the 3-character POV as it gave you a highlight into what another character (albeit a psycho) was thinking.

L.A. Boyles is certainly going to be a must-read author for me!

Very strong woman through tragedy

I absolutely love this book. Through all her sexual abuse mental abuse and emotional abuse savy stayed strong and protected her sister when savy can she takes her sister and runs to protect her. She thought she would never trust a man again but when she seen Diablo the president of havoc mc she knew her connection to him was unstoppable. Diablo wiggles his way into her heart and vowed to protect her and her sister no matter what. Diablo treats her sister like his own and he and savy fall in love . This book is amazing because it shows no matter what you've been through you are strong and will be ok in the end. It has ups and downs and so much emotion that I couldn't put it down once I started reading it. This is the first book I've read of l.a. Boles and have to say she and amazing writer I love the style and emotion she puts into her writing i highly recommend you get this book and read it can't wait til her next havoc mc book is out.

Ok

I really wanted to like this book. There where times it just dragged. Dual POV is normally fine, but having the same scene repeated from another point of view is annoying and unnecessary. There where also a lot of unnecessary filler where nothing really happened. The sex scenes where just robotic to me ( and there where very few of them). It was just a strangely written book. I think with a good editor it would have been better. I skimmed a lot of it.

My friends told me to move this book to the top of my to be read list—THEY WERE RIGHT.

My bookclub is all abuzz about this book. With one member in particular running around with her beloved “I told you so’s” hahahahaha! She was right. This book is well written. She has a knack for finding juicy books. Author knows how to build up suspense. Also knows how to ratchet up the heat. Excellent character development, I was so invested in the main relationship, the other relationships potentially developing the one with Skull and Ena is coming along nicely! Wolf is a mess, I don’t know what’s going on between him, Joss, Lexa and the sweetbutts-he a MESS. Ohhhh and I want the sweetbutt Hazels background story and why Axel won’t commit to her. Need it. Sounds complex and messed up in the head-gonna be a great read.
Past sexual abuse the main h experienced is touched on(no graphics), there is some very graphic torture scenes just a head up. I love a protective biker. I like “bad guys” who know how to be good to their women. It’s my kink lol. And scars.
In conclusion, because I did ramble a bit- get this book. And the ones that come after them, I have a feeling this is going to be an amazing series.

I loved reading this story about Diablo and Savy, she goes into Donnie's office to ask for more hours which she doesn't want to for he only gives more hours to the girls that sleep with him, in the office are 2 sexy bikers and Diablo falls head over Savy and he can't wait to meet her, they have some hot and heavy sex and she has a lot of of baggage, running from her dad who is a real monster to her and wants to keep her sister safe. So much has happened to this poor girl since her mom died and she's one strong woman, so glad she has Diablo to finally help her out and her sister to have a better life! Hope to read more stories about this Havoc biker club!

Uncaged....

I take it this was the authors first book??...
It has potential! It's a good storyline and I can definitely see what and where the author was aiming for and a good editor would add another star! But unfortunately, it falls short as it is.

I would say yeah give it a read but be aware that some sentences are repeated, some wording needs to be changed etc etc.

I would like to read more about the other members and practice makes perfect so definitely don't give up!

Speechless!

Th Havoc MC is full of strong sexy men & is led by the strongest Diablo himself. The chemistry between Diablo & Savy is off the charts. The love between them is the stuff of legends. Diablo's devotion to keeping Savy & Ena safe is swoon worthy. This entire book is breathtaking. I read a lot! I mean a crazy amount & this book is definitely one of the best I have read in a long time!

Really good book

This is my first time with this author and it's well worth the read. It looks like it's her first book but can't be to sure because she may write under another name. Glad I took the chance. Read it on one setting. It's full of drama and alpha males 😀. Did the sweetbutt get away or will she come back in the next book or did I miss something lol. Can't wait for the next book.

So Gritty But So Good 🔥❤️🔥

Uncaged by L. A. Boles was a gritty, twisted, and disturbing story about a woman’s sacrifice to save her younger sister from her crazy father. This journey of both sisters was filled with the perils and eventual happiness for them. Honestly, this book was like a horrible car wreck that you can’t keep from gawking at. Well written as well as well developed characters and storyline. Can’t wait to read the next one. Totally recommend it 🔥❤️🔥

Surprising from start to end

Uncaged is the first book I have read by L.A. Boles, if I could give it 6 STARS I would. The story was heartbreaking but at the same time full of life, love, loyalty, laughter. My respect for creating interesting & strong, even though their past easily could have left them broken. The dynamic between Savy & Caleb kept surprising. I am looking forward to reading Skull & Ena's story (I hope there will be one)

Very good read!

Diablo and Savannah meet in the office of her boss in a strip club. She is a bartender and he is the President of Havoc. Diablo is an alpha man and knows what he wants, Savannah. Savy is a feisty woman protecting her younger sister. There is plenty of action in and out of the sheets. I really liked Savy and her attitude. I recommend this book to everyone!

Loved it!

I'm such a MC series fan and this one definitely didn't disappoint. I read this in 24hours considering I have adult responsibilities that get in the way of my reading lol I felt like this book needed a little more to it but not quite sure. Nonetheless, this another book worth your time.

So much fun to read

Despite the tragic events marking Savys' life this book was a fun read. A strong female who stood her ground for the ones she loved. All things considered majority of female characters need to be saved but not this one. And the chemistry between her and Diablo/Caleb was hot!! Loved every word in this book!

Surprise

This is the first book for this author according to her bio. It us a winner, I was captivated from the beginning and I can't wait for the next in this new series. I love that with Amazon, I get to read books from as yet undiscovered writers. LA's writing is sharp and compelling with the right amount of romantic heat. Great job!

Good read!

I really enjoyed reading Uncaged. It was a really good book. I hate that it will be a standalone, it has really had some great reviews. Apparently Ms. Boles has had medical problems and is pulling out of all writing. I wish her well and hope to see her back someday. ....pat....

It's been a while since I've read a biker book and I was hesitant to read this one. Once I started reading though, I couldn't put it down. The plot had some twists and I enjoyed how Boles put her mark on the story. I look forward to see what comes next.
