This is my first book by this author and i have to say i really enjoyed reading it, I like the story and the characters were really well written. It's not a really long read i was able to read it in about 3 hours.

Su Lin joins a match maker service because her mother wants her out of her home now that she recently married. Su Lin didn't have much luck with the few matched she had dates with so her hopes weren't too high when she got a call about another possible match. Rick is a wealthy young man that is seriously sick and wants to have an heir to leave his empire to. So he goes to China for a mail order bride. When he meets Su Lin he knows that she is perfect for what he needs she just needs to be tutored in what will be expected of her as his wife as well as certain American things. Su Lin is shocked by how wealthy Rick is and at first is worried that she is wrong for what he needs but things progress quickly between them. Soon they both are discovering that they have feelings for one another. As Rick's health deteriorates Su Lin finds out they are finally pregnant. When Rick wears himself down trying to keep a rival from taking his company from him the end up in the hospital. The doctor gives them some news there's an experimental treatment that could work in curing Rick however it puts his child at risk so he refuses. Will Su Lin let Rick die or will she go against his wishes and try to save his life? Can Su Lin and Frieda keep the company save when Rick is too weak to fight to keep it?

This is an emotional story about two people that entered an agreement but fell in love despite it. Once I started I could stop turning the pages to find out what was going to happen next. This was an entertaining story and was well written. It has everything an amazing book should have a simple plan, people out to get the main characters, steamy scenes, drama and an enduring love. I would recommend this to anyone that loves to read an great story. The chemistry between Su Lin and Rick sizzle between the pages.

This is one beautiful story about Rick and Su Lin. Rick is a young intelligent wealthy man who contracts trikala syndrome that does not have a cure and takes his wealth to invent many new technologies with a money and power hungry business partner. With Rick’s disease has progressed and he realizes he can not leave his company in the hands of his partner and goes to find a bride to have a child to pass it along to them! Rick finds himself a mail order Bride from China, Su Lin who happens to be educated woman stuck working in a bar due to her being half white and shunned by her community. Her life has not been easy and she is forced by her mother to marry or be left on her own. From the moment they meet Rick is smitten with Su Lin and goes about his situation as a business deal until his assistant shows him the errors of his ways. The deal made between them is she needs to have a baby in a year and be taken care the rest of her life or walk away with nothing after Rick passes in a year. There are emotions between them you will not see coming and make you fall in love with them even more as a couple. The experiences Su Lin goes through adjusting to being in Minnesota is very challenging for her and Rick does what he can for her. There will be twist in this story that will turn it upside down and the end result will be an unexpected end. How will Su Lin and Rick deal with his rare disease when his time comes to the end? Can one really live a life fully in one year? Be ready for the unexpected and enjoy the experience of Rick and Su Lin! This is one story that will grab your heart and hold onto it!! This was okay. The writing itself wasn't bad, but the story just didn't grab my attention. Rick is jerk in my opinion. I understand his situation, but that doesn't mean that you have to be rude about everything. He could have taken the time to show Su-Lin what she needed to know, instead of pawning her off on someone else, and then acting like she's silly for not automatically knowing everything. Su-Lin is in an impossible situation, but I guess she made the decision that was right for her. There are some things that I wasn't expecting, but it wasn't enough to make me fully enjoy this book. This was a first for me from this author, but I would be willing to give her another read.

At first glance this book does not seem like it's going to be a functional love story. A young Chinese girl stuck because of her biracial heritage forced to become a mail order bride. A young billionaire racing against the clock that's winding down on his life needs an heir. Then you start reading and oh my word, Su Lin and Rick make you fall in love with them. This one is absolutely worth the read.

Loved reading the engaging and enthralling romance story. Su Lin agrees to be a mail order bride for a rich, handsome man, Rick, who needs a heir before dying of a deadly disease. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, and a must read love story.

While the premise of having someone’s baby has been done time and again, Jesse Jordan takes it a couple of steps further. What if she is a mail-order bride, half Chinese, half white and shunned by her country. And he has a rare disease with no cure. While one’s first reaction may be this too morbid, Ms. Jordan has written a story of love, hope, and never giving up. A story that grabs your heartstrings and doesn’t let go. This is a story of sex, love, suspense, laughter, and tears all rolled into one beautiful story.
