This was so beautiful!! The slow-burn here was everything I didn’t know I wanted and it was so well written and played out, and it was simply beautiful to see them realizing they were in love with each other 💛

3.5 Stars for this well written, Devil Wears Prada slow burn romance.

Andy eventually quits the Mirror and spends 6years married to Nate as they travel from city to city as he pursues head chef jobs in top notch restaurants. In the meantime Andy becomes an accomplished book editor. After their divorce, Andy returns to NYC and finds a job as an Editor at a small, new Elias-Clark imprint company. It’s a large building, she should be able to avoid Miranda...

This story started and ended strong for me. I felt it dragged a bit in the middle, which prevented me from rounding up to 4stars. When I re-read this I might change my mind.

One of the best-written DWP fanfics I came across. I enjoyed it so much that I wished it were longer.

The author is truly gifted. I recall enjoying Not Everyone, which was another DWP fanfic by her. Definitely check that one out as well (but I advise you to forgo the next fics in that series 😬).

Re-read in 2025

Re-read in 2022! Same rating! I'm atill hoping for a sequel. I think the appeal is that the author was able to capture both Miranda and Andy from the movie, so it was easy to associate them. Love it!

This is one of the best original plots, featuring Miranda and Andrea’s reunion, that I came across in the DWP universe. Very much in character, beautifully paced, extremly well written, as are all the works by spacedmuch.
This is intended for attentive readers who enjoy small details, witty humour, low angst and a beautiful slow burn.
It left me craving for more, though, but who knows, maybe some day this author decides to grace us with a few more insights into Miranda and Andrea’s life together.
Don’t miss it!
