It's strange to read a new genre from this author since the books that I've previously read were my favorite genre of all times. I'm a sucker for MC books and now she has a new genre... Will I like it? Or not? Oh boy... What should I do?
Jessie Cooke has been a constant in my reading life and her books held me hostage just by reading the first chapter. Her writing is hot and wild, free and forbidden, with so much meaning and feelings between each chapter. And now I'm about to embark on a new adventure...
Just like Grey is her latest release and tells the stories of Alex and Izzy.
Alex is a billionaire that has more money than Midas. He can have everything that money can buy but there are things that money can't give you. He's a ruthless man when it comes to business but in the heart department he's a bit insecure or out of luck. How can you earn something without having to buy it?
One beautiful woman enters the cafe he was at and. .
Izzy is a beautiful girl that's completely lost. She lost her job and it's been a struggle to survive. Being in the fashion department was her dream job but when the company closed she was left with nothing.
When a stranger offers her a job she can't belive him. Why would he do that? She's a nobody...
It was a different reading that's for sure but this doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy it. I liked it but I didn't love it. Does it makes sense?
I'm used to have this author giving me stunning MC books, full of crime, drama, darkness and hotness and this book was so different.
The plot was good, well written with hotness into the mix as well as deceive and greed.
The characters share a great chemistry and the hot scenes were good but I miss something.
It was an easy reading but I wasn't stunned like I normally am and I hate feeling like this.
Jessie Cooke you are amazing and it breaks my heart to say that I didn't love this book. You know that I love your writing but this book wasn't it for me.

I suppose this is supposed to be exactly what it says in the title – Just like Grey and in many ways, I think it was but that isn’t to say that I didn’t have issues with portions of the story because unfortunately I did and it was mainly due to the fact that it just didn’t hold my attention as much as I had thought it would.
I thought the story was decent but it didn’t blow me away and I think that was down to the fact that in parts I was desperately trying not to skip pages …it was a little slow at times and the urge to get past the slow pages to the good bits (and there were good bits – plenty of them) was distracting, to say the least.
But what I did like was Izzy and Alex, I thought they had page presence and that the author gave them a story that as a reader I could get on board with. The conception that this was “Just like Grey” was clever in as much as it put the basis out there, having read the original I thought I had a handle on where the story would go but I was pleasantly surprised that the author was able to ensure that it wasn’t just a pastiche of the original.
There was enough of a twist on the original story that it gave the characters their own credence and ensured that the characters were able to stand tall on their own, the sex scenes might have been a tad more inventive for my liking but other than that I would say that there was enough passion and pace to keep me entertained. I was especially grateful to discover that despite the angst and attitude they managed to find their way to a happy ever after.
A short(ish) read one that I managed to finish in just a few hours, so if you have some spare time, and you enjoyed Fifty Shades then this might be one you want to take a look at

Just as the title says, if you are a fan of Fifty Shades of Grey, then this is a must read for you. I love how Izzy and Alex’s relationship evolved. This is an entertaining story which is passionate, with drama, crazy ex’s, and twists which had me intrigued throughout. I adore all of this authors’ work, but this one I am sorry to say, is not my favourite. Looking forward to reading more from this author!

Isabelle th I is he's nuts by offering her a job but once they get to know each other their lives come together as one. Lovely story funny, steamy and a whole lot of BDSM Recommend 5Stars

Great
Great read again from this author, the story of Alex and his Izzy, and their realationship was great, a bit different as the usual roles were reversed, bit was a good story.

Pretty good romance with good portion of graphic sex mix in. Some fun most a bit unrealistic mystery and action mixed in to add variety.

I wasn't sure what I was going to read when I started this book. I have read Jessie's mc series. So this was a new one for me. I liked it, it had a good story line. But it took a while to get into.
I liked Alex, he was a hard worker, and goes for what he wants.
I liked Isabelle, she is feisty, speaks the truth and will do anything she wants.
I liked this book, and recommend it. Wtmo

This was a great novel except for some of the proofreading that should have been done first. Izzy and Alex made me fall inn Love all over again and I look forward to more novels by Jessie Cooke.
