A new threat has come to town, one who doesn't seem to be hunting just the werewolves this time around. Instead, it seems as though anyone in town is fair game.
Mina's gut has been telling her the person responsible isn't human, but will the others believe her intuition or will heartache fall on the pack before they see reason?
Return to Mirror Lake in the fifth book of the exciting Mirror Lake Wolves series and prepare for more action, suspense, and mystery.
Jennifer Snyder lives in North Carolina where she spends most of her time writing New Adult and Young Adult Fiction, reading, and struggling to stay on top of housework. She is a tea lover with an obsession for Post-it notes and smooth writing pens. Jennifer lives with her husband and two children, who endure listening to songs that spur inspiration on repeat and tolerate her love for all paranormal, teenage-targeted TV shows.
I love this series and was super excited to get more books on the way! Mina and Eli! They make such a great couple and even the secondary characters are awesome. I enjoy Ridley, Mina’s mom, Gran, even the pack members like Violet. Five glittery stars! And I can’t wait to see what happens next!
Yes been waiting and it packed a Heart filled punch to my gut!! Cannot believe Eli's father is gone?! What's going on and who's masterminding this?! Hope we find out soon. Cause my hearts broken and hope it doesn't break anymore as bad! But I love it. Always short but sweet and packed with action and a mystery to solve and since this book has more to come it's not over! I'm so nervous lol
I liked diving back into the life of Eli and Mina's story. It was cool to have a new enemy out there and it was really sad to have the part about Eli's dad. Eli is a strong character and I'm glad she didn't make him bitter about his death but more strong. Mina is as strong and kickass as ever and I like that she maintained her relationship with her human friends even when it was frowned upon. I'm really looking forward to this series continuing and seeing where the story line leads us to.
The very first pages automatically capture your attention and have you begging for more. I read the whole book in a day!! There is no where in the book where you think you can find a stopping point!! Awesome!! Beginning to end!!!
Moon Grieved by Jennifer Snyder a five-star read that will make you happy you returned to Mirror Lake. This is the fifth book in the Mirror Lake Wolves series and you will get the best out of it if you have read the whole series as each book reveals more details and each book will make you fall a little more in Love with Mina and Eli. In this instalment there is a darkness coming to Mirror Lake but only Mina seems convinced of this and it’s too late before people finally agree her gut maybe worth listening to. I don’t want to give the game away but this book kept me guessing all the way through, Jennifer kept the suspense up and had your heart in your mouth at times, and then in the pit of your stomach at others, watching a certain someone grieve a loss that means it’s time to step up was hard but it made the story so much deeper. I was guessing all the way through oohh is it them or is it them as there are hints as to who the Midnight Reaper is, but you will be kept guessing until the right time. Overall this story will blow you away. It’s well written and flows like water in the lake there is a great continuity to the story as well, the characters grow as they age and face trouble in their lives but they do it in a way that means they stay true to themselves. I love that talent of Jennifer’s, people don’t start the book one way and then jump to someone different at the end of the story they have a natural arc to their lives as we all do, the characters have a lovely naturalness to them. I also love how there are things picked up from previous books, and people we can catch up on. Well done Jennifer I can only wait with baited breath until we see what else you will bring up, until then I will go back to howling at the moon!!
***I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.*** Another great book by Jennifer Snyder! This is by far one of my favorite series! When is this going to be made into a TV show?! This would be perfect and I need a new paranormal romance show with werewolves, vampires, and witches! There is new trouble in town for Mirror Lake. Mina and Eli are going to have all sorts of new issues arise now that the Midnight Reaper seems to be in town and after something or someone. Eli is thrown into a new position that was not expected and completely before he thought he would ever be in the position. This book kept me captivated and surprised with each new issue that popped up. It was a great read and if you have not started the Mirror Lake Wolves series, I recommend you start now!
Oh my gosh. This is the 5th book in this amazing series and it doesn’t disappoint!! This book has twists u don’t see coming. So many emotions. I absolutely can’t wait for the next instalment in Mina & Eli’s story.. Jennifer Snyder is an amazing author who knows how to draw u into her characters lives. Recommend to all
You'll get all the feels with this one! Love, anger, sadness, shock, happiness, thinking how could that happen?!?! All of that and more. I love the characters in this series. They feel like they could be your next door neighbors. Can't wait for book 6!
When I started reading this one I was curious as to which direction the story would take given the conclusion of the story line for the last four books. As always I found our lead character Mina Ryan to be tough as ever but in this book we got to see her on a different level. The emotional side of her as she grapples with not just her feelings but with everyone else's as well and I was happy to see her step up to the plate through the twists and turns alongside Eli. There was several moments in this book that I found to be very suspenseful and tear jerking. I really liked the fact that we got to see more of Eli's family in this one. When reading the other books I was always looking for more when it came to them but in this one we finally got to see more of them along with Mina's as well. I think it's going to be interesting to see how the pack and Mirror Lake deal with things from here on out and I am looking forward to continuing.
P.S.
( Tiny spoiler below. )
I wished Mina's birthday would have went better she deserved the one day after everything that had happened in the last book.
At first, I thought it would be about Mina's sister and Cooper or even Mina's children. But the story picked up where it left on the previous book - Mina moved to live with Eli and continuing with the story being told in Mina's POV.
Nevertheless, the author managed to write another exciting story; something sinister was coming to the Mirror Lake and the pack needed to catch the culprit before it's too late.
In this book, someone had died, which I didn't like, but I guess that's what makes a story more compelling, and we get to see how well the characters handled the stresses.
Oh man, this one was a doozy. I haven’t felt this sad after reading a book in a while. Mina has definitely got a long road ahead of her. And poor Eli. I am, however glad that the pack seems to be doing well and we’re learning more about the other supernaturals in the community, I’m very curious to see how they can work together.
The beginning felt awkward like the characters were sadly forced for this book. The characters seemed like they didn’t know how to act with each other out in normal settings and their conversations felt forced and boring, even they knew that. That’s why they kept only talking about a killer that was a few towns over. Once things started popping off within their pack that’s when things got interesting for me and I was finally able to get into the book. I was sad the flow of things just wasn’t quite as balanced between the two worlds as in the first four books.
Honestly after the conclusion of book four, with defeating the bad guy that they were dealing with from the beginning of book one, I honestly didn’t see why there needed to be any more books to the series. There was only one small part in this one that made Mina think that what’s going on now has connections to what happened before but she knows that can’t be because she killed the leader of the bad guys in the last book.
So even though I did like it by the end of the book I think I would have enjoyed it a lot more if every book in the series had a different storyline instead of one continuous one with the first four books and then changing it up for the last three.
I read this book as part of the Mirror Lake Wolves Box Set 4-7. What a fabulous read this was. I thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of the books in this set. Highly recommended.
