Steele Givens doesn’t do relationships and he knows better than to fall for a man he rescued during a CIA Operation; but then he’s never been a ‘follow the rules’ kinda man. He always swore he’d never drag someone he cared about into a world of danger. But what do you do, when danger stalks him anyway?
Kalon Roberts wanted to move on. He’s done with danger and Black Ops Operators. But when someone is determined to use him to gain his father's cooperation, the man who comes to save him, is the one who broke his heart.
They should have never met. They should never have been in each other's orbits. But now that they are, Steele will take out everything and everyone in his way to make sure that Kalon makes it out alive.
Annabella Stone and Bella Stone are the alter egos of a wife and mom, who was lucky enough to find happy ever after with her own personal hero.
Annabella loves to write Military Romance and Romantic Suspense where warriors love harder when bullets fly. She believes in love at first sight and wants everyone to have the happy ever they deserve. Even if they have to dodge bullets and fight with everything that they are to get it.
Born and raised in Ireland, Annabella has a Grá for a good story and the breakfast blaa, but funnily enough, prefers Jack Daniels to Irish whiskey. Having lived across 7 countries and 3 continents over the last thirty years, she loves to explore new places and cultures. In her world, coffee is king, and she is 100% sure it deserves it's own food group.
Annabella is owned by a pack of malamutes, whom she loves to both work and show. If you can't find her at the computer writing, chances are she and her woofers have escaped to enjoy at day at a dog show, or they are on a mountain trail with the dryland rig or the sled, depending on the time of year.
Annabella's motto is "Live life like a malamute who found the gate open, but take the time to enjoy the sights while you're running."
So far this series has just blown me away. I loved book one in the Delta Force: Team Panther series but I have to say that I might have loved book two just a little bit more. And sticking with the theme of the series as a whole, I cannot wait for book three because if it is half as good as these past two books, then it is going to be another incredible read.
This book is primarily based around Kalon and Steele. This is the story of how they met and where they have ended up for now anyway. This book starts off going back to a time before they met and leads up to Steele’s capture in book 1. Then it goes on into more dangerous situations that Kalon and Steele will have to face.
I really do not want to go into any details about this story because if I do I feel like I will give something away that is important to this story. But I will say this.... in this book you do not know who is friend or foe. You do not know who will turn on you for the right price. Some are even the closest ones to the characters. There is a lot of danger in this boon and at times you have to wonder if they will make it out alive.
This book has a lot of action in it and there is not a dull moment in it. I stayed up late last night just finishing this book because I could not put it down. It was an incredible read and I truly cannot wait for the next book in this series to come out.
Was given this galley copy for free for an open and honest review
This one gets a step up from the three stars I gave the last one. Are any of the technical problems solved? No. And yes, I'm actually going to talk about them this time. But I'm interested in the members of the Panthers now, so I'm setting a lot of flaws aside here.
I wanted to see improvement in the author’s writing, but there isn’t yet. Looking at the publication dates, I’m going to guess it’s because these books were pumped out quickly. There is so much repetition that it’s frustrating. Near identical lines happen frequently. The dialogue is bordering on awful. Are my standards too high? I don’t know. The tired part of my brain wonders if these are AI generated books. I’m not buying the relationships at all. “He’s hot, I’m in love” isn’t…enough. Hooking up because hormones, fine. But if you can’t remember that a man doesn’t drink coffee, only tea, after a year when that seems to be the only thing worth noting that prior year.. I just. I don’t know, man. I’m disappointed. And we're not going to talk about how irked I am by the sex scenes and clothing that seems to magically appear and disappear, nor will we discuss that I guess these ex-special forces members have magic semen that usually doesn't make a mess. (look, I said I was irked, okay) The action movie plot is okay. Not believable and not terribly compelling. But it’s entertaining enough? If you can ignore the massive stereotyping. Ugh. Look, I’m reading this series because it was clear less than a few pages into Zenko that there was backstory I was missing. Is Zenko even going to be worth reading these early novels? Can’t say.
On the edge of your death suspense and rescue of military special ops!
Delta Force Team Panther Books 1 to 7, by Author: Annabella Stone
Jonah's Compass, Tied Up In Steele, Malik's Redemption, Micah's Promise, Christmas Panther Style, Grif's Salvation and Jason's Justice.
I was addicted Book 1 to 7 I couldn't put it down. It has Special Ops Military action the non stop rescue at the risk of their own lives and their families. Then add in in Military Operations telling the good guys from the bad is extremely difficult. Not to mention its all based on intel which is another challenge good vs bad. Its amazing any if these missions are ever successful. This gives a new respect 🙌 for Mitary & Mercenaries Heros that risk it all to defend & rescue. With 7 books I just can't do each book Justice so extremely brief comment on a few. Terrific written extremely well ☆☆☆☆☆5 Star Reviews☆☆☆☆☆ Book 1 Jonah & Matt, you have to read even if you skip the rest. The Don't as Don't Tell nightmare it put on LGBT Military is horrific. Book 2 Steele to have Alphabet Soup (CIA, FBI, Ghost, Delta & more) and the connections to reach them impressive. More so is the one tha captures his heart. Book 3 Malik & Zeke, To die to protect the ones you love the upmost sacrifice. Risk it all for love? Book 4 Micah intro to Triad to build his family. Hawk, Creed & Delta K9 assist with Micahs PTSD. Book 5 Allie the Pilot on Ghost Crew has her child Lexi is endangered & Pathers find out a huge Betrayl. Book 6 Grif, Rock and Allie another Triad in ghis team. After Book 5 this Family holds some surprise. Life & death assist with living. Book 7 Jason this is one of my favorite- i reread it twice. High walls but Major Fritz stays strong & being taken brings the walls down. This series is a keeper, one you can reread over & over.V3 knidnap. Torture, sold out +, S3 mature Gay romance & Triad
"He really was tied up in Steele. He could only hope that Steele was just as hogtied to him."
Oh man the ride that this book was.. Steele & Kalon The hard ass with the nerd never gets old.
I was surprised but not surprised to know that these two had history since it was mentioned in Book 1 but what that actual history was, I didn't know. Phew when it was revealed I had that "I knew it!" moment but it didn't last long at all and I was shattered right along with Kalon because, damn Steele. Steele & Kalon are the most unlikely to get together but it works in the best of ways until it doesn't and someone gets hurt, or in this case multiple someones. The ups and downs will have you going one way, thinking one way only to turn around and throw yet another curve ball and things just change that quickly.
Steele gives up the one person that he doesn't want to because of a mission that he has to do, an undercover one. His cover is the problem and the reason that he loses the one person who told him to leave, hurting him also hurt him in turn but orders are orders and he can't say no. Kalon had to let go and move on, or as much as one can when the person you love hurt you in a way that you didn't see coming in the slightest. How do you come back from that? Is there even a way to? Things take a wrong turn multiple times and after rescuing Steele what else could go wrong? What would it take to make things more clear for these two? I wasn't ready for what happens, not in the slightest. The eye sting was in full effect.
This series has become an addiction that I just cannot stop. I cant put them down I always want to know what is next and who is next. Full of suspense, adrenaline, a hell of a lot of anxiety inducing parts, and so much more is what you can expect.
Kind of got the feeling of these two in the prior book. Wasn't sure what it was but there was enough of a teaser there that you needed to get their story. It was good. The group broke up and everyone went their own way to some degree. They we're brought back together when a hit was out out on them. Steele was part of the CIA and Kalon was a mark he came across and felt the need to help. Thus the beginning of their love affair. Though at the time they just didn't know it. They had their fair share of things go wrong. Both grabbed by the bad guys and saved. Both damaged but not beyond repair. Trust your brother in arms and the INE who has your heart.
5 stars Annabella, for your brilliant mind and ability to draw me in your stories. I love the way your mind works! For those of you who are just coming into reading the series please start at the beginning and work your way down because it is a roller coaster ride of hilarity suspense snark and downright craziness these characters of the books. I would love to meet any and all at any time in the real world. These guys are who I would love to have my back if I get into trouble. I know we have some of these guys in the real world where I live, so if anyone know who they are let me know, send me a memo😆
I agree these books need to be read in order. Steele and Kalon are so good together. It takes a strong man to take on Steele and that man is definitely Kalon where he is strong in his on way , but to take on a Steele and show him what it is to be loved and understanding about what he does for his Country is what he needs. Computer genus and muscles and steel made for each other. These book need to be read in order. Can't wait to see which Panther get his ever after. Love wins every time
I'm exhausted after reading this! So much action, so much great storytelling! I enjoyed it thoroughly! I was glad we got to see more of Steele and Kalon, who were introduced in book 1. It was great to see how they came to where they ended up. I loved Steele. He was a gentle giant when it came to Kalon. And Kalon had a hard task to stand out, surrounded by all these gruff dudes, but he definitely managed it. Great addition to the series. I can't wait to read more about the Panthers!
Wonderful moving love story that has suspense and twists, right along with action scenes, fabulous characters and betrayal. Hot and steamy m/m graphic sexual content that is full of love. This is also a bit of an age gap read as Kalon is a bit younger than Steele and the others on the team. There is some torment and a bit of angst thrown in for good measure. A gripping, interesting read that I thoroughly enjoyed.
There is a lot of confusion in the book, there are many things that suddenly changed throughout the book for no good reason. And there are things that are not particularly true. And there are many things that remain unclear and are not explained even when the book reaches its end. The story is good, but all of these things bothered me reading. (Hebrew and Arabic are not the same language).
Good story, bad editing. I hate it when bad editing ruins a good story - even if the story was completely unbelievable. We don't read them for factual accuracy now do we?!
I am loving this series sexy alpha males, high impact action in out of the sheets. I love the writting style, world and character building are spot on. Series is well worth the time to read!!!
Sexy alpha ex-special forces military men? Sign me up yes, yes and yes. As in book one, I had some issues with how this author writes. However, I was able to overlook them enough to enjoy the story with a HFN outcome. 3.75 stars. I’m looking forward to Malik and Zeke’s story.
Kalon wasn't the expected companion for Steele, and his personality was a nice contract to the macho Steele. He brought out the protector, he brought out the loving man. Nice addition to the series!
Oh. My! Delta Force Team Panther are at it again! More guns and the bad guys just keep showing their ugly faces but it is all equaled with the love! Steele and Kalon has one great adventure after another so buckle up because the ride is bumpy!
The book is amazing but I felt it was lacking comparing to the first one. I didn’t read as fast as Jonah’s compass but I liked it anyway. Steele and Kalon are a nice match and seeing everything being developed left me wanting more
Excellent book absolutely fabulous every page was exceptionally intense but great reading enjoyed it very much. I recommend to anyone who loves these tough sexy guys to keep reading, looking forward to the next in series. Thanks
Annabella writes beautiful stories, but I did not like that she repeated the chapter about Steele being rescued, exactly as she wrote in the first book.
I also have to say that all characters of Team Phanter are wonderful.
I'm loving this series. This book was better than the first one. I couldn't put it down. Please tell me there are more books to come in this series!!!!!
I loved this love story of Steele and Kalon. The continuing tale of Jonah and Matt and Team Panther. Secrets long hidden are revealed. I can’t wait to read book three.
The overall story is progressed in this second book of the series, but the main characters spend an extreme amount of time away from each other for me to enjoy their individual romance.
3.5 stars due to editing issues and rounded up to 4 because I really did enjoy the story; Hot alpha males and suspenseful military action plot for the win.
