Manga creator ONE first created One-Punch Man as a web comic, where it quickly went viral, garnering over 10,000,000 hits! Along with One-Punch Man, ONE also writes and draws another series called Mob Psycho 100.
The reality's Cities are under siege by monsters sent by the Monster Association, an dis in jeopardy as the heroes are pushed to their limits! Meanwhile Saitama is still on personal journey undercover in a martial arts Super Fight tournament. When these two worlds cross, will the ever growing Monster hoard be able to deal with the man with One Punch? With true risk and danger to all, this volume ratchets it up, whilst still maintaining its humour. An 8 out of 12, Four Star read. Anyone that has got this far in the series will already be a true believer. :) This is the best volume yet. 2023 read
At this point I think I may have completely lost interest in this series. The plot feels repetitive and the humor doesn’t hit me as hard as it used. I still really love Genos and Saitama, so I may continue with the series but after fourteen volumes of reading the same plot over and over again, I’m bored and want something different.
DUDE. This was perfect. I felt the overwhelming despair the first two chapters, and then Saitama finally comes in and just :’) he made me laugh and made me feel everything was gonna be okay. A true hero. Lol that last part where Seiryu asks to be Saitama’s disciple was funny lol. And just how Seiryu literally broke down after seeing him all confident earlier was just so dramatic and had the perfect affect for the story. Really well-done. Oh and Lightning Max and Snek were the true MVPS; they made me want to cry—they were so brave .:’) Love them.

While Saitama is barely seen in this volume, Suiryu takes the spotlight in some of the most one-sided (favoring the bad guys) volumes of One-Punch Man I have ever read. The Monster Association gets fleshed out more here and it is starting to become a formidable threat to the Hero Association (So please ONE, no more Garo!).
This volume is very dark, where Suiryu, a skilled martial artist, is utterly crushed by a monster.
In this volume, the author tries to convey a lesson that we should always be humble, especially if we have certain skills. In this case, Suiryu is shocked by Saitama, who once again only needs one punch to defeat his opponent.
I can't believe we've been to Volume 14 of this amazingly silly series. This volume, while giving us the basic level of absurdity that we come to expect, is mostly filler and setting-up for the meat of this arc. It is good for what it is, but it could have been shortened and put onto the last volume. Still looking forward to volume 15 since Saitama is at least casually aware of the Monster Association now.
Also, this is my first comic/manga of the year--late start for me.
The fighting tournament is over so and we go for round two of after tournament fights. Our hero has fled being chased by security after losing the final bout. The monsters are here and a few of the contestants succumb to temptation and become monsters by eating “monster cells”. There is a lot of dialog in this volume but at least the talking advances the plot. At this point One Punch Man Manga is more of a traditional fight Manga with each new fight being between more powerful opponents or characters that have powered up.
Anyway, Suiryu has a long amazing fight against the most powerful monster that came to the tournament. It is even an interesting fight though he needs more than one punch and requires him to fight not just for fun and money. Heroes return and help in the fight but it is no use. They are all defeated all seems lost. Suiryu is begging for a hero to save him – he has a change of heart about heroes now that he is not the strongest fighter in the area. All very much seems lost. Until Saitama returns after security stopped chasing him. One Punch Man wins, much to Suiryu’s shock. Then our hero goes and fights the monster that lead the attack on the tournament and off screen wins with just one punch. I want to joke that the artist must have run out of ink at this point with all the dark action fighting that had just happened. But really this is just a return to the absurd nature of the Manga. Saitama seems to have acquired a new apprentice. This volume was just well written.
I missed reading One Punch Man ! feels so good to get back.
and once again this manga have successfully made me laugh , as always !
This volume got me holding my breath from the start to the end. I surely hated Suiryu the moment I saw him with his man ego , but then I kept looking forward for Saitama to save him - come on , he got really beaten up roughly 😂 -
-1 star for not showing us the fight between Saitama and Gouketsu 😌 seeing Gouketsu's own head flying without knowing what happened was a disappointment.
Straight up fighting focused on one place, the arena with the martial arts fighters. Heavily focused on Suiryu, who was actually pretty cool when he wasn’t arrogant. Strong enough to take care of all the minions anyway. Loved how the fight was dealt with off page, you know it’s just the one hit sound effect. One monster down.

This was very much about Shiryu , the ultimate Street fighter character , and he was awesome, but he also finds out what is the meaning of Heroism and why the world needs heroes , more than simply people with strength. It was awesome . Alas , i wanted to see Saitama fighting Goketsu
This was the volume where I dropped OPM and recently sold all volumes I had of it. This might have been partially due to my change in what I want to collect and my personal growing disinterest in shounen series in general but I can’t help but think the growing repetitiveness running throughout this series finally got the better of me and I lost interest completely.
One Punch Man has one punch line. It’s so tiring to read an entire volume of people beating each other up, with characters growing less and less hopeful over their current situation when the whole time, as a reader, I’m just waiting for Saitama to show up and deus ex everything in the face. I felt that particularly during the fight in volume 14. This waiting game is only enjoyable as Yusuke Murata’s artwork for this series is stunning and played a large part in me sticking with it for so long.
[A quick aside:- As bad as the art was for One Punch Man while it was being published as a webcomic, it always made me think how I would feel if something I made was good enough to make it into print but would need to be completely redrawn by another creative. While One does come across as more of a storyteller than a mangaka, I can’t help but think this whole process would have been a little upsetting. Even creating a poor looking comic takes a large amount of effort after all. (But Idk maybe I’m projecting or thinking too hard about it 😂)]
Part of the humour comes from this series basically having no stakes and seeing how Saitama fixes everything for everyone in one punch. This type of wish fulfilment story of course isn’t bad (I mean, look at the reviews) but it’s one I felt became tiring and repetitive in moments I knew I should have been laughing.
Entirely focused on the dichotomy of heroes and villains, this volume's saving grace is found in the ending. It was interesting to see people balance all the pros and cons of being a hero in other to figure out what they'd pick if they're life was threatened: become a monster or die a hero.
Suiryu is however the one character that got almost all of the attention in this volume and it wasn't to make him look as amazing as he did in the previous story. He actually loses face here and truly becomes non-charismatic. It was still nice to see him fight till the end, but hope was nowhere to be seen for him.
The great thing about this volume is that the Monster Association got a lot of spotlight here and teases the arrival of the Monster King. I do wonder how Garou's story arc will be intertwined into all this.
That Gouketsu bastard choose to be a freaking monster. What a dumbass.
My gosh those fucktards eat those freaking monster cells. Yucks. It even looks gross. Yuck.
Suiryu is still an airheaded person. Saitama is gone, though. Maybe he's in toilet again, LOL....
Suiryuu is being a show off. He thinks he is strong enough to defeat those monsters. ( shrug)
Awww. I like that potato vendor. He is sweet to Saitama.
LOL Saitama slip in that icy ground with that freak sprout monster. So funny all he did is protect his potato.
OMG He can freaking break that ice. Duhhh of course he is our Saitama and that sprout finally beaten!!! Serves you!
LOLLL.!!! When Genos incenerate the demons Saitama defeated, Saitama roast his sweet potato!!! OMGG He is such a cute darling!! LOL!!!
Suiryu is strong but not as strong as the monsters though. He's still beaten to a pulp.
That Bakuzan and he ate all that freaking ugly looking demon cells. YUCKS YUCKS!!
Suiryu shouting for help is pathetic. That's what you really get when you are such a show off. He even bad mouth the heroes and now he is asking for help. Oh well.
OMG SAITAMA IS FINNALY HERE!!!! YESSS!! OMG!!!!!!!!MY GOSH SAITAMA IS SO FREAKING COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awwww. Saitama's worried face is so cute.. Awww my heart..
Saitama defeat Bakuzan again and this time dead. Awww I almost cry. His humility is extreme, I am so inlove with him~~!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YASS!!! See Suiryuu is so worried of Saitama fighting Goketsu but he did it so quick. Gosh SAITAMA is the ultimate hero. Genos choose the best sensei.
Also LOL Suiryuu wants to be Saitama's disciple. No way, Genos will be extremely mad! LOL!
Ini keren. Beneran keren. Seru. Lucu. Menegangkan. Semua campur jadi satu.
Ah, ending-nya bikin senyum-senyum sendiri. Lagi-lagi ada tambahan pengagum (dan murid) Saitama. Sanagat menarik untuk dicari tahu.
When you're down and out, your bros got your back. And it's a cliche at this point, but a badass hero arriving when all seems lost and just beats the shit out of the bad guy never fails to make me smile
Feel a little bad how much enjoyment I got seeing Suiryu being humbled by monsters, but he was a real jerk and he learned to be a better person from it haha. I found this volume particularly cathartic.

I forget what this manga is about sometimes and that the main character is literally just the most stupid broken character ever so when an enemy comes in they’re pretty scary and then they’re gone but I love it.
Sneck and Max, the A ranked heroes, doesn’t look so strong, because Saitama is too strong. And even they were blown away by Gouketsu, they came back to save people. Actually they are not strong but their heart is so strong.
Things with the monsters are ramping up and all of the heroes are busy trying to prevent the worst from happening. I'm really glad there is no more tournament scenes, while I did enjoy it I'm eager to get back into the actual story and see how things with Garou are going.
