When Liam Roth fails to arrive from 2135 – his own time – to collect her for a date, Floss discovers that the timeline has changed. In the now totalitarian future, the rich and successful Roth she knew is a failure with an abysmal Citizen Credit Rank, who works as a barista and struggles to make ends meet. Through him, Floss and Jace meet an amateur dissident group who offer the Time Rats the biggest, best-paid job of their lives: overthrowing the Global Union’s oppressive rule.
Remix is my third novel; it's the story of Caz Tallis, who is startled one quiet Sunday morning to find a stranger asleep on her roof terrace...
I enjoy reading intelligent, pacey books with humour, and that's what I try to write. I believe it's a crime to bore the reader.
My day job (using my real name, Lexi Dick) is designing and making jewellery and silver; I've made pieces for Lady Thatcher, the Athenaeum and Her Majesty the Queen.
I do hope this is not the last we hear from our "Time Rats". Lexi Revellian's time travelling "gang" have gotton better and better as they continue their travels in time !. This master class in story telling that Lexi has given us here is first class and I have thoughrally enjoyed every single page, I was honestly disappointed when I finished, only because I wanted more and did not want this story to end ..... without giving anything away I certainly want to know more of Angel and her exploits what a brilliant character she has become....maybe a spin off book for her is deserved ? .....Anyway I can honestly say this is the best book I have read this year and I can definatly recommend it to anyone else ! and can I just grovel and beg Lexi Revellian to continue with more Time Rats adventures ....pretty please :-)
I’ve enjoyed the first two Time Rats books, so liking the third was a foregone conclusion. The story is fun and exciting with more time traveling. Everyone likes to read about a ragtag group of rebels overthrowing the totalitarian monolithic government. It’s also fun to see characters we’ve come to know in different situations. Liam Roth as a failure was a great read, because he essentially becomes another character. I spent half the book wanting him to return to the Liam Roth of books one and two, and the other half hoping that this new Liam Roth would soldier on as it were. As usual, the characters are well written, and I hope that Lexi writes more in the universe.
Four out of five stars for Future Warrior, and with all three books in Kindle Unlimited, you should totally check them out.
Really like this series. This entry was a bit more 'timey' than the previous volumes, more back-and-forth, but not difficult to follow. Strong plot and action. The 'team' is growing and here they feel more like a cooperative unit, I just hope they don't don spandex tights, masks, and capes. I remember Floss and Jace clearly, and remember the names Quinn, Roth, Liam, Ryker, etc., but have difficulty remembering who's who. Personally, I could use a cast of characters at the beginning or in an appendix or on the website showing the name and a line or two about who they are. Looking forward to the next.
I enjoyed this time travel series so much and this third book was gripping throughout. A caution to new readers: you need to read the first two before this one as the author does not spend time on any recap of the characters and their relation to each other.
A most enjoyable series - I've read it twice, now. Expect a lot of twists and turns. I did get a little confused in book 1. There is some swearing but not too much.
The story moves swiftly. There's been a change to the future that changes Roth. This leaves Floss a little at a loss as to what to do. There seems to be no way to correct the future. We've still got Quin who can't do anything right. We get to merge Angel with a naive rebel group in order to topple a dictatorial government. This is done with the help of Roth and Cato. No one does the right thing, but it all works out in the end. The story is admittedly a little bit fluffy, and the British jargon is a bit disruptive, but I still enjoyed reading the book and i recommend it.
I like the premise and the characters. There were a lot of names to keep track of, but if you like time travel stories, this is for you! Good scenic descriptions and likable characters.
