This is my first book i read by the author & i must say it was a great read, I hope Chosyn is okay & her family finally know the truth, I feel the grandma knew what he did to Chosyn but didn't say nothing
This book tackles a tough subject in mental illness. A lot people usually don't tackle this issue because they don't understand it. Chosyn has to deal with so much at a young age. She's keeping a painful secret. Rosie also has painful secrets she's holding on to and dealing with in a destructive manner. Aspen and Jordan will have difficult times on their hands dealing with the girls, as well as their own, issues. Part 2 will be truth time for them all
This book deserves more than 5*. People don't like to talk about mental illness but it is real. You add molestation to that and that your recipe for disaster. Looking forward to reading part 2 when it comes out. This was well worth reading.
Wow, Rosie and Chosyn both had demons to fight but you saw how tough both of them were going to rock for each other. A Great book that touched on some really tough situations that normally are swept under the rug in the black community !!! Can't wait to read Part 2 to see what becomes of this foursome !
Amazing! This was my first read by this author, and I am very impressed and pleased! This book was filled with so many emotions and very well written. I’m hoping that part two comes soon because I’m so anxious to see what happens next!
What a read! Great job! I was recommended that I read this book and I’m so glad I did! This book was well written and you can clearly see that the author put a lot of research into it. Dealing with mental disorders and how it affects the individual, family and friends around them. This book opens your eyes to a lot of things that people don’t know about mental disorders. It allows you not to sympathize but empathize with what they are going thru and how they handle these issues. I’m sorry that I have to wait for book to to know what happens next, as this book is a book that I would have like to read as a very long standalone. Just didn’t want it to end. Fantastic read... Definitely a must read !
Wow so many secrets in that family no wonder Chosyn just shut down. Aspen I’m somewhat disappointed in him but at the same time Khari is his life, I wonder how he’s going to react once he finds out. Terry he was a piece of work, but Karma had his name. Jordan I’m looking at him different right now,I just hope that Josie gets herself together...

It’s so many people going through this disease right now and not getting help. I’m glad that you wrote about this cause it’s real. I’m glad they found out about Terry sick self, now maybe Chosyn can start to heal. I hope Rosie can overcome her addiction.
This book is good and I can’t wait for part 2... mental illness will always be a taboo subject in the African American community not many ppl want to shed light on it but thank you
Chosyn needed another profession... Once you get over the bull about her job choice it's easier to move on with the story. The ending has me wanting to read the next one but then again, I can go without it as well. This one was just so, so.
