Jasper has always been a born protector. When he lost his one true soulmate in January 2000, his life changed. He didn’t just need to look out for himself, he had to look out for his soulmate’s baby – Lisa. This takes him down a path that you don’t expect a shifter to take, but Jasper has found his place in the only life he knows.
Fast forward seventeen years, and Jasper is still that born protector. He’s protected many people, but now that protection has backfired on him. He needs to look out for himself, put the past behind him, and move on with his life with his family. However, it’s not that simple, because the council has a hold over him. That hold needs to break, and only a united pack will be able to set Jasper free from the life he once loved.
Authors Note - Although Jasper is book 2 of this series, I do believe you can read this book without reading Lisa - Coming Of Age first. To get the best of the full story and all of the characters follow the order in which they're published. :-)
Book 1 - Lisa Book 2 - Jasper Book 3 - Kevin Book 4 - Joel
Jasper is an enforcer, but has recently found new family and wants to be there for them. The council have different ideas and his sent on another mission.
Stracey is a witch/healer, her and Jasper have been dancing around one another for a while now, maybe now is there time.
This is my first read by this author, I enjoyed her take on PNR, I liked her shifters and am intrigued by her vampires.
This is book 2 of her series, I followed the story fine, but generally I prefer to read in order.
an amazing read. book 2 in this series Jasper has a lot to take on. as he gets taking away from his family, to do mission work, then go back and join the pack with Kevin. so looking forward to reading the next in the series book 3. well worth a read and can be read as a stand alone couldnt put it down once i started.
Omg! Once again I was blown away by this talented young author’s writing! “Jasper: United Together” is the 2nd phenomenal book in the Guardian Shifters series that grabbed me from the start & wouldn’t let go, even after I’d finished reading! ... Another amazing fresh new plot that kept me on the edge of my seat turning pages like crazy & not wanting to stop whenever my real life got in the way :o lol ... Wonderful well-defined characters, some recurring & others new, and great descriptions with a few surprise twists make this fantastic PNR romantic suspense a must read for all adult fans of fiction! ... Ms. Lowe has a magical way of creating this world where family & friends in the pack are there for each other no matter what! I am so addicted and cannot wait for the next installment, but I will as I do have mine preordered already ;) So run, don’t walk to get all of these amazing, soon-to-be bestsellers! IMHO ;)
I was given an ARC of this book in return for an honest review. This is the second book in the Guardian Shifters Series and it was so good that I read it in one sitting. It tells how Jasper is taken away from everyone he loves on the orders of the council. He vows this will be the last time. The relationship with Stracey is lovely and unfolds beautifully in this story. I’ll be interested to read more about Kevin, Joel and Callum’s characters and their stories too, there will be some interesting plots there I’m certain. I read the author’s Smile series quite a while ago and enjoyed reconnecting with some ‘old friends’ from those books. I cannot wait to read more about Kevin in Karina in book 3.
Jasper is book 2 of this series and I've had a lot of fun writing this book. I like the large scope we have when writing paranormal romance, and I think you'll love Jaspers story. Also with this story, you'll be introduced to some much loved characters from The Smile. It was really refreshing bringing those characters back for Jaspers story, because my writing career started with them. To see where I've come from then is amazing. I hope you all enjoy reading book 2. :-)
K.M Lowe is just one of the authors that are changing how I look at Paranormal books. Paranormal just isn't/wasn't my thing. However, Jasper has just had me sat on the edge of my seat.
When innocent girls start to go missing in Canada, Jasper is forced to go and help. Going into one of the biggest fights of his life with so much to now loose, will he and the rest of his group survive? There are many changes ahead for a number of the group and not all of it is good.
This is the second book in the series and we catch up with Jasper. The Council decide to take him away from his family and friends to do all their missions. With big problems in Canada Jasper agrees to help if he and Kevin can go back to their pack once the mission is over. I read this book in one go and I’m looking forward to book 3 when we get to see Kevin and Karina’s story.
another fab read my k.m.lowe in Love jasper I bloody love this book and can't wait to read the next book, I was gutted when jasper got hurt but in glad he pulled through I loved it so much didn't want it to end
Jasper is a man anyone would be honoured to have in their lives, I really didn't like how Braxton treated him after everything he has done and sacrificed. I love that he got a second chance because if anyone deserves that it is Jasper. There is action, turmoil, pain and suspense in this read, it totally consumed me from the opening page until the end, I read this in 3 hours, couldn't put it down. It's a well written story that the focus is more on the relationships and resolving problems than actual fights, those scenes are relatively short, dealt with and done. Some aspects of this will carry on into other books with various characters and we will see the pack grow and progress through the series, I really enjoy that because it gives more depth to each. So far it's Jasper though that holds my heart. Fabulous, emotional and interesting plot.
I have had this on my kindle for a couple of years. Why oh why did I take till now to read. Jasper is a man/ wolf who has lost his soul mate, can he really have another? The council have got him a job that he doesn't really want to do but he will. Just hoping he gets out alive..... love this one x
Jasper is book 2 of the Guardian Shifters series by KM Lowe and can be read as a standalone, but I definitely recommend that you read Lisa, book 1, first to better understand the story.
“Our future will start together. Forever and always, if you’ll have me.” - Jasper
I liked Jasper from the moment I met him in the first book of the series and was excited that his book would be up next. Jasper is a guy you can't help but like because he's so honest, caring and strong. He was born to be a leader, but is happy to help others be the leader whilst he protects those he loves. Jasper had a really tough time prior to Lisa's birth and then changed his life to ensure he always remained true to a promise he made. I really wanted Jasper to find true love again and have someone in his life who would always be by his side.
At first, I wasn't sure where KM Lowe was going to take Jasper's story because I could see it going either of two ways. Thankfully, she took Jasper in the direction I hoped for and I absolutely loved what she did for him. Stracey was just the woman for Jasper as she shares the same attributes as him, and her never ending patience allowed him the time he needed to heal. My favourite parts of Jasper had to be the scenes between just Jasper and Stracey. You could clearly feel the love between them as they finally stopped holding back and followed their hearts. I didn't want these scenes to end; just like I didn't want the book to end.
This is the first paranormal series I've read by KM Lowe, but I've enjoyed it just as much as I've enjoyed the other books I've read by her. It takes great talent to be able to write different genres, but KM Lowe does it so well and I'd be surprised to find a reader who isn't able to read and love all of her books no matter what the genre.
Loved this book-storyline. Jasper takes up where Lisa, Book 1, left off. The book is very well written with characters that will grab you heartstrings and not let go.
Jasper is in trouble with the counsel. He is taking the blame for the packs actions concerning Lisa (as we know from book 1 of the series). On one hand they counsel has every right by law to have Jasper put to death but they know his loved by the various pack and an uproar would occur. So they decide to put him back to work. He must go as many missions as they deem necessary and he must go no matter where the mission is or how long it takes. But that isn’t a real punishment for Jasper as he’s not afraid of hard work. But when they tell him he can have no contact with his pack, his sons or Lisa for the duration of his punishment he is crushed. They knew how to hit him where it hurt. But to make matters worse they make him take Kevin with him, causing one more nail in Jasper’s heart (Kevin is Lisa’s Brother they have just rescued from a horrible existence). The first few days the counsel tries to break Jasper and Kevin. They are starved, caged and tormented. But suddenly they are given a chance to do one lone mission and if successful their sentence would be over. But at what cost? Is it a suicide mission? What does Jasper do when suddenly his loved ones are also drawn into things?
Family and friendship lines are drawn in this amazing storyline while it defines family, pack-life, love and right from wrong. Lisa (book1) and Jasper are phenomenal shifter books that are not to be missed. I Highly Recommend Reading this series, you will not be disappointed.
This will include spoilers if you haven’t read Lisa, book One.
I fell in love with Jasper in the first book of this series and was super glad to know his book was next. Jasper is this super Alpha everyone else comes first thing, including taking the fall for his pack with the council.
Jasper lost his soulmate 18 years ago and has had a very hard time moving past everything, so when love is staring him in the face he doesn’t know what to do...or how to handle it.
Stracey is the healer of the pack and has feelings for Jasper and has for many years but hasn’t acted on them because of his past.
Jasper gets sent to do a mission as punishment for betraying the council, Stracey gets pulled in to help which he is less than pleased about.
“Jake’s belt, will that do?” asks Kevin, as he kneels down at the other side of me. “Keep talking to him, Kev.” As the belt tightens below my knee, I growl with pain.
I absolutely loved this book. On the edge of my seat the whole time waiting to see what would happen next. I loved Jasper just as much if not more than in the first book. I loved Stracey’s character as well. Enjoyed seeing Markus, Lisa, and Joel along with the other pack members.
I highly recommend this series to anyone who likes paranormal!
The continuation of the Guardian Shifters Series From Lisa’s story to now Jaspers was seamless. One of these stories that I didn’t struggle getting back to grips with. After Jaspers introduction in the first story, I was besotted with Jasper. The fierce and loyal protector, the father figure to those who need him. And of course we all wanted him to get his happily ever after...
Excerpt: I need him more than anything in this world. I don’t just want to be his soulmate. I want to be his friend, lover, and protector. I want every title known to man. I can’t help the way my mind works when I’m this close to the only man I’ve ever loved. The only man I ever will love.
With many forces at work, we see Jasper in his own right and I loved seeing this side of him...I just wanted that tiny bit extra from him. I had an idea where the story might go, but hope that the lead may be picked up in the other stories and I look forward to delving further into what is proving to be a love filled fairytale with vampires, wolves and witches....’paranormal’ just doesn’t do it justice!
Jasper - United Together is book 2 in the Guardian Shifters series by K.M Lowe. I knew when I read book 1 of the Guardian Shifters I was going to love this series.
When Jasper and the pack broke the Council's rules he knew there would be a punishment to go with it and the protector in him took it and kept the rest of the pack safe. He should be sentenced to death but the Council need him for a mission. Jasper makes a deal - he does this mission then hes out! He's want to be with his kids, his pack and one particular witch. He's their best enforcer, will the Council agree? Will the Council let him leave, just like that?
I love the storylines that this series is following. The chemistry between the characters can be felt. Its great that the secondary chararcters are not just in the background. I can't wait for the release of the next part of this series. The paranormal/romance genre is quickly becoming one of my favourites to read.
Although Jasper could be read as a standalone, I would highly recommend reading the first in the series, Lisa - Coming of Age first. You won't regret it!
After reading and loving the first book in this series, Lisa, I was excited to delve into Jasper's story. We'd already had an insight into him in Lisa's story and this book started pretty much where Lisa left off.
It wasn't written so much from Jasper's POV, as Stracey's as well. Another character we had been introduced to in book 1, and I had the feeling their relationship would develop further.
This book focuses on Jasper's punishment from the council for what happened at the end of the first book. We get to learn more about Jasper and also Stracey, plus the development of other relationships.
This book was a fairly quick read for me as I didn't want to put it down - it moved at such a great pace and Lowe had me wanting to keep reading with the events that were unfolding. Emotions were heightened at certain parts.
Once again the ending of this is left open for the third book, which I can't wait to get my hands on!
This is an action packed shifter series I couldn’t put down. Jaspers story is fast action packed read that sees him and Kevin being sent away to help the council one last time that will see the pack split apart and pushed to the limit but will the council live up to the deal or not. Can Jasper help Kevin deal with his injured mate and can they protect Darcy from the council and Joel. This series has it all the shifters the love the family unit the protectors you need to survive in this cruel and sometimes horrible life. This is a highly recommended series I would gladly tell people to read you won’t be disappointed with.
I definitely recommend that you read Lisa Book 1 before so it is better to understand the story. Jaspers introduction in the first story shows you how he the fierce and loyal protector as well as the father figure to those who need him. Jaspers story is a fast packed read that shows him and Kevin being sent away to help the council one last time that could see the pack split but will the council keep to their deal or not. Kevin finds his mate but she's injured, they also need to protect Darcy from the council and Joel. This series has everything if you enjoy shifters, love, family unit, loyalty and protectors well worth reading.
Jasper is the glue and the reason why their community exist. When it comes time to take the credit/blame for what occurred with Lisa he stands to protect his friends and family from the fallout. He holds family and friends close to his heart and when that is used against him by the people he's committed his life's work too it's on. He has no problem with taking the punishment but now he is torn. Thrust into one last mission he knows he has to win and this time it's not just his life on the line. A story packed with action and rebellion it's a battle to the finish not just to help and rescue but to come out of it alive and in one piece. It's a story of love, of family, and fate.
Jasper, United Together, book 2 of the Guardian Shifters series. It's an amazing book by the talented K.M.Lowe! This author has a way with words that makes everything she writes appears magical! I have never been a fan of shifters books, but I can't get enough of this series, the Guardian Shifters!!
Jasper's story is an incredible journey about romance, action, taking a stand, family and so much more! Can't wait for the next book!
Loved Jasper's story! I fell in love with the characters and the new characters we met in the book. I'm excited to see their stories and how they unravel and become stronger. The story here was exciting and we see more of the Council. And more of Braxton and Julian as well as their interaction with Jasper. I love his connection with Stracey. The aspect of the rogue wolves and what happened with them was really good. I'm loving this series!
