After suffering from several major blows, Zuri is determined to find the strength she needs to move on with her life. With a new-found confidence, new friends, and a couple of new men in her life...Zuri finds herself on the road to self-discovery and freedom. But moving forward turns out to be more difficult than she expected. Old secrets bring new pain and once again, everything seems to be spiraling out of control. With no clear destination ahead and her past in her rearview, Zuri finds herself at a crossroad and is faced with an obstacle that will change her life forever. When the smoke settles and the dust clears, will Zuri truly find happiness...or will pain cause her heart to still remain bitter.
I like where you're going with this series and Im so ready for the final part. Zuri is still young and learning, but she receives alot of wisdom in this book. I just hope she learns from what she is doing and get rid of that "friend" that she has. I love that you've started really putting Valencia's story out there. Her story is interesting and I hope you make a series, or standalone, for her as well. Flip is always going to annoy me i believe so I won't even start on him. All I will say is, I would have to do my best to get my child from over there as fast as I can and they won't see us for a while with the games his family plays. When is Mallory going to disappear? Can't stand that one. Great read!
Ok so I understand this is about Zuri finding herself and discovering her true love, but geez could she be anymore hard headed. That girl knkws how to dig herself a whole. Flip is a hot mess. I can't get over how dillusional Loni is. How did no one notice these "shots" Loni keeps managing to give ZaZa. Back to Zuri I honestly was just getting tired of all her indecisiveness. Pick a stance and learn to stick to it already. I'm glad that she is growing but playing with all of these mens emotions was just ridiculous. Tristan was the obvious best choice and she kept dissing him for Flip amd his confused family. That ending isn't really clear so we'll see.
I was very disappointed in Zuri, I thought she'd learn to cut people and their drama out of her life. She got more tangled into juggling these 3 men and kept hanging with Mallory who was obviously up to no good. And how the heck was Loni getting away with what she was doing to ZaZa!?
There was too much inconsistency in this book. I was more interested in Val's life. I don't even know if I wanna read the next one, I'm about sick of Zuri's drama, low self-esteem and gullibility at this point.
Zuri had drama coming from her in every direction and knew sooner or later she was going to snap. From dealing with a her hateful mother, trying to raise a toddler at a young age, dealing with a messy breakup, along with being targeted. Caused Zuri to lose focused. Mallory seems scandalous. Something about her friendship with Zuri fake. Shalonda couldn't let go of her delusions towards Flip. Jealousy and Envy caused her to do some things that were low down. Flip created a whole mess. He was blind to his own mother and sister trifling ways.
I was really looking forward to this book coming to a close and finding out about all the things that were left open in Bitter Two. Turns out there was a lot of repetitivness in this installment. We still don't know when and if Flip n Zuri ever find out that Loni was hacking into Zuri's phone and poisoning Zaza, if Zuri regained custody, if Flip ever realized that his mother was being scandalous , I mean so much left unsaid it's dragging on way too long without important information that would make us readers want to read about the other mothers.
I waited for the next release in this series. As much as I want Zuri & Flip to work it out I just feel like she’ll never be a better her with him. Now Tristan on the other hand I like him and I feel he’ll be the reason she grows up and matured and become a better woman. I felt like the book was all over the place though. I didn’t like how towards the end it started telling different stories. It left a lot of questions.
This was my first time reading this author's books. The book was great but waiting months to finish it is not my thing. Yes things happen in life but to keep putting dates up that the book would be out and nothing comes out just more reasons why we have to wait is unprofessional. This was my last time reading anything from her. At this point I'm not even interested anymore.
Shakela James once again woke up my emotions with this 3rd part of Bitter series! I think every woman can attest to being bitter whether you're a baby mama or not! But will we stand together or allow the bitterness to eat away at our heart! This series is definitely worth reading and such an eye opener! I can't wait for Bitter Sweet!
I am so ready for the finale to Bitter! Azuria truly needs to grow up and get on her grown woman. You can only fault folks for the wrong they’ve done to you for so long; it’s time for her to forgive for herself and move on. Time for her to live for herself for a change.
This book is so good!. I couldn't put it down! I can't wait to find out how everything and everyone is pieced together in the next part of this series and to see what the ending turns into..I want to find out about Mallory & how Zaza's custody ends..will zuri ever find closure with her parents
I LOVED the first 2books, but this one is confusing,as if she got tired of writing it towards the end. The next excerpt from the next book seems promising, it has to be an improvement over this one.
Was glad to get next installment and see it Zuri had grown up any and how she was dealing with her repeated baby daddy drama. She still has some progress to make and needs to question who really has her back. Looking forward next book in series to find out more about the drama in her her circle of friends.
I'm so confused on the end of this. Too much is missing to even continue to talk about the other ladies. What happened to Zuria, did she go to jail, did she kill Loni? I feel like u should finish her story first. Dang....
Just a all around great book! These woman are true strength. Motherhood is a gift & although we go thru many twist & turns we always pull through! Can’t wait to read the next installment.
Like I know it’s a good book but it’s jumping around a lot and I really want to get through it but all the extra details is bothering me... I love how Ms Inez finally called Zuri out!! I keep reading trying to understand the order!!
You have to be a sick individual to harm a baby. These men don’t realize how their cheating harms the ones they love. Woo I hope she gets what she deserves in the last book.
This book left to many unanswered questions. Bittersweet does not look like it will even clear up the questions about Azaria. The typos were even worst in this than the first one.
