Morgan Reid I'm the fiery red-headed reporter for the Daily Times and a confirmed city girl, through and through.
Sent to cover a nearby rodeo, I intend to interview the Huntington Four , champion bull riders, and get out of there like my tail is on fire. I mean seriously, a rodeo! What was my boss thinking?
Little do I know that nature is about to intervene and force me to spend the night.
Little do I know the Huntington Four cowboys are all deliciously sexy, each in their own way, making it impossible to choose my favorite.
And little do I know, none of them actually expect me to choose.
As with all Alexandria's stories, this one is rated 18+ for adult situations, language and downright toe curling dirty bits. This is a reverse harem romance, where the ultimate fantasy comes true...not only do these hot hunks take care of their woman's sexual needs, they do dishes and laundry too! (Come on, it's fantasy.)
PREVIOUSLY published as a ten part serial under Alexandria Hunt, this includes all instalments plus a bonus epilogue! Revisit your favorite cowboys and the woman they love!

2 stars I purchased the 10 book series Rough Stock by Alexandria Hunt and this review was given freely. Each book is really a short excerpt which contains one to three brief errotic or suspenseful scenes relating the sometimes dangerous life of investigative reporter Morgan, her strained family relationship, and the loving steamy relationship she shares with four cowboys. Each section ends with a cliffhanger. The overall tale is good however the reading is tedious and filled with many typos. I had such high expectation and was greatly disappointed. To place a review on each section would basically involve a one line spoiler.
if read as a complete story from excerpts 1-10, this has the potential to be a 5 star errotic suspense.
I read this when it was originally released as the 10 part serial. The revisions and tightening of the story has turned it from a quick fluffy read into a decent story.
Morgan has come from being a gossip rag writer and is working her way to a big story. Passed a quick editorial piece that sends her into the country on a rodeo rider and his 3 friends, she's none too pleased. Being the sort that enjoys the creature comforts of the city being in the sticks is not her cup of tea. But, the 4 cowboys she meets for the story could sure change her tune. A thunderstorm, a flat tire and fate bring her home with them and gives her a chance to really get to know them better. And a chance for them to ask her about a relationship...with all of them. Floored by the turn of conversation she heads back to her cramped city apartment and the lead on a very big story. As her life gets crazier, what started as a code violation story becomes money laundering and more, her cowboys start popping up all over-and at the most opportune times, too! But, after the case cracks wide open, will the passion still be there?
I had hoped to see this maybe released as a box set one day, instead of having to download 10 small books. And I'm very glad to see some of the shaky events that didn't really gel in the original get fleshed out and touched up in this rerelease. I still want to point out that the cabin scene is a little flawed. She was hurt in the fall, pretty badly from the description, but after they get her to the cabin it sort of just poofs out of the story line. The shootout scene was done better, though, thanks. It was a little odd and disjointed in the original. And the epilogue was a nice touch. The story sort of ended before without a real ending, if that makes any sense. Or maybe we readers are just addicted to epilogues lol. Anyway, I was happy to see this as a complete set and even happier that I gave it another read through.
This story is about Morgan Reid, a feisty reporter for a small paper covering a rodeo miles away from her home, and Clive, Ty, Charlie and Harley, four alpha cowboys that don't mind sharing.
The story is well written with wonderful characters, sinfully delicious scenes, intriguing, some angst and emotional. I loved the chemistry and connection between the characters.
Rough Stock is a steamy hot and captivating reverse harem dark romance you won't want to miss!!
Oh, and when rating this book, just remember that this is a top-notch FANTASY where not only do these hot hunks take care of their woman's sexual needs, they do dishes and laundry too!!!
Good for a one time read. The book can get pretty steamy...always a plus, but I didn't care for the characters or the relationship. I've read reverse harem books before, so that isn t the problem. I think it was more the execution. I did like the secondary plotline-the corruption expose. However, it's not enough for me to want to read the book again.
The gifting did not determine the review/rating, which reflects my honest opinion. While the story was ripe with spelling errors and questionable punctuation (and run-on sentences), I liked the protagonists and the layered storylines. Some real interesting character dynamics, kept the story flowing and me interested in the plot.
There was numerous times where something was said and it didn't make since and or it contradicted its self. However, over all I really like the story. I gave it four stars because I liked it enough that I'll probably read it again.
