About the author

I’m a writer for children and teenagers. My books include the novel Me Suzy P and the picture book Baby Badger's Wonderful Night. I’ve written a lot of books too, ones that didn't have my name on, on all sorts of subjects. Things like mermaids, fairies, cars, teenagers, princesses and super heroes, plus heaps of other stuff I’ve probably forgotten.

Five Facts About Me:
1. I’m a walking disaster area and completely accident prone. My nose got broken in a tickling fight and my arm ended up in a plaster cast after an incident opening a window.

2. My favourite words are eclectic and catkin.

3. When I was at university, everyone said I looked like the twins from B*witched. (Google them. I couldn’t wear dark denim for years).

4. I've done heaps of random jobs, including stuffing Christmas crackers and covering hundreds of library books in sticky backed plastic.

5. My party trick is the ability to fluently mirror write. I would show you, but it doesn’t really work on a keyboard.
