Adore Mi: A Love to Call My Own

Rate this book
It's no surprise that the numbers of failed relationships and marriages are growing. It is talked about everywhere, especially in music, movies, and books. But no one ever talks about all of the obstacles and the heartache that people go through when this happens. The past is never easy to cope with, and it never just goes away. So what do you do when you're forced to deal with the pain? How do you deal with it? It's true that every relationship has problems, but in reality every couple isn't strong enough to deal with them and fight through them. However, despite the many differences that they may encounter, the truth of the matter is that love can still be very beautiful and resilient... even if it's self-love. Take a journey through the hearts of a troubled married couple, a young divorcee, and a hopeless romantic as they all try to find themselves in a world where an everlasting love seems nonexistent.

Amazing

Congratulations Shay on your 3rd book release. You really did your thing putting these characters together and an amazing storyline. I really enjoyed reading. This book touched on the issue of infidelity that many people have experienced at some point during either a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship and even during a marriage. The other woman tends to get the blame from the significant other of the man but it is the man that is doing the wrong. For so many years Mena never placed the blame on Tristian for his infidelities until Kelina let her know that she needs to wake up and take a really good look at herself and what she allowed Tristian to do to her. Although Kelina and Easton developed a brief relationship during a time where they weren't completely healed from the hurt of their past relationships I still liked them together. I would like to read a spin off of them. Overall great book and highly recommend.

Awesome!

The storyline in this book is excellent. So many times marriages are torn apart because of one person's infidelity. Now Tristan is a man that was full if it from the beginning. His corny advances on Kelina is enough to make you physically sick. He was ungrateful and greedy, and felt that every woman belonged to him. I hate this guy. Mena was weak when it came to her man and that's what make a woman loose herself in a relationship. She had no business going after women for sleeping with her husband. She needed to deal with him. What she did was make Tristan think that he could do anything to her and she would be there regardless. The same went with Denim and Kelina. Now Shekie, she got exactly what she deserved. If she thought what she did to her friend was acceptable.....well Karma taught her better. I loved Kelina and Easton together. They completed each other. Shay Renee, this is my first read by you and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I will be checking out your first series. Five stars for consistency in storyline. It kept the reader on their toes. Great job!!

Wow

This book was incredible! Mena & Kelina were almost mirror images of each other in terms of there lives! Both were married to or had been married to men that cheated but blamed them for it! They never took responsibility for their actions, their fault, their part in what took place! It was you didn’t give me what I needed it! It wasn’t about the other persons needs! Not knowing that the other person was doing what they were for them! To benefit them, to help them in the long run! Not knowing they they To wanted the same things! It was like the men in the book didn’t know how to handle the love they received from the woman which was a deep lesson to learn! It was crazy to se how these 2 women handled the similar situations! Mena mad me want to chop her in the throat! She blamed eveone but him for his actions! She should have been left or nipped it in the bus something! Neither one one of the men were ish for real just keeping it 100! But Tristan is a few eggs short of a dozen forreal! I was so happy Eason & Kelina was able to talk! Outstanding job!

Yessss for this fabulous Standalone

Baby! This book has me looking crazy the entire time. I never would have thought Tristan was a crazy. I felt for Mena... she was blinded by love. And Easton. That's bae. A little rugged around the edges due to his past but there's potential in that man. And Kelina. She pissed me off. Who goes along with that stupid shit. She deserved everything she got but I'm also happy her and Easton got back together. I need spinoff from Mena so I can know what she got going on. Even a short story would be fine lol. You absolutely did this book! It was amazing!

Wow

This book touched so close to home I felt like I was reliving my past. Mena didn't give herself much credit. She knew her instincts was dead on. She knew every accusation was on point. But insecurities will make you look like a fool. And he planted them in her very well. Verbal, mental and emotional abuse is worst than physical abuse. I'm glad Mena woke up and faced her demons. I'm so glad Easton found his way and found Kelina. I thought that Tristan killed Sheki and still kind of do. Hate I'll never know. Notice I didn't talk about Tristan really or Demin. Scums don't deserve attention. Great book

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Wow is all I can say this story touches home in so many ways. Sometimes we stay in a relationship too long glad Mena got it together, Tristian got what he deserved he was only out for hisself very selfish. I felt bad for Sheki she didn’t deserve to die like that but her death was to prove life is too short to hold grudges. Kelina and Easton both brought baggage into the relationship but glad they found forgiveness and got it together. My first read from this author but it won’t be my last.

Heartbreak

If I could give this book more than 5* I would. Adore mi is a very good read. For you ladies that are married or in a relationship with a man that cheats all the time, then you need to read this book. It can help you see the mistakes that us as women put up with and allow. You will also learn that there is more than 1 form of abuse. Good job Shay Renee keep up the good work.

Lord this book was full of a whole lesson. Yes Kelina was dead wrong but when you think what you doing is right and gonna help someone the wrong goes to the back burner. Kelina had big heart a hurt but a big one. Tristan was umm a garden tool. His wife was fool. You did a great job

GOOD

THIS WAS A GREAT READ. THAT TRISTAN WAS A WHOLE DOG. HE WANTED HIS CAKE AND EAT IT TOO AND GOT EXACTLY WHAT HE DESERVED. MENA NEEDED TO OPEN HER EYES AND SEE THE KIND OF MAN SHE MARRIED BUT IT TOOK FOR KELINA TO HELP HER TO DO THAT. SO SAD WHAT HAPPENED TO SHEKI. FOR A MINUTE I THOUGHT TRISTAN DID IT. SO GLAD KELINA AND EASTON WORKED THINGS OUT.

This wasnt the love story i was expecting

So nothing was really what I thought it would be. I enjoyed the ending but believe tristian got away scotch free. I wanna know what mental condition he obviously had and why his wife the psychologist couldn't figure it out. It just goes to show when you're in the midst of the storm you'll be blinded.

A rollercoaster!

I very much enjoyed this book. It kept my interest and had s lot going on. Initially, I judged Kelina and just disliked Mena. Tristain had problems that made me feel sorry for Mena as well as Kelina. Just read the book. You’ll laugh, cry and get mad almost at the same time

Enjoyed it.

When I initially started reading this book, I wasn’t expecting the twists that were in it. The men is this book were straight up dogs and needed to be put down. But, I was so glad that Mena came to her senses in the end and Easton and Kalina got back together.

Emotional

Knowing people that have gone through this same issue is a reality no-one wants to go through but we have to in order to recognize the Tristens in our lives or wake a friend to them. Loving yourself is the first. This book was a great eye opener!

Wow...what can I say? This was a really good book and Tristian was really something else. Mena mentioned to Kalina about the other women being victims but it was crazy the way she automatically jumped to conclusions. Love can truly make you do some crazy things!

Tristan had a good wife. Mena was crazy to keep taking your trifling self back. I'm glad Mena finally realized that Tristan was the problem. Easton had his issues but he was working on them. I'm glad him and Melina got it together. Great job I enjoyed it.

Cute Love story

I enjoyed the story, I'm so happy Mena left that dog of a husband. Why would Kelina believe that Mena was ok with her going on dates with her husband when she flipped out when they first ment. I was do happy that Kelina found love again.

Tristan is a sick psychopath. Men's is so blindly in love. Kelina is looking for true love. Easton trying to find himself. Sheika you sew bad things bad things follow. I thought Tristan did it though.
