Harryhausen: The Movie Posters

Rate this book
Harryhausen: The Movie Posters showcases the posters from all of Ray's movies, from 1949's Mighty Joe Young, to Clash of the Titans in 1981. There has never been a book published devoted solely to the promotional art associated with the films themselves. Featuring posters from all over the world, as well as commentary from The Ray & Diana Harryhausen Foundation, this is an essential addition to any fan's library.

This is a gorgeous collection of poster art (both American and international) for all of the major films of special effects wizard Ray Harryhausen. This is a terrific coffee-table book and is a must-own for any Harryhausen fan! My only complaint is that the text that accompanies the artwork is lackluster; it's often dry and contains a few spelling and factual errors. However, I still feel comfortable giving the book a five-star rating since very few people who purchase this book will be interested in the text. The primary value here is in the spectacular artwork.
