In a sweeping and enchanting tale of romance and second chances, Judith McNaught shows us yet again that love is the greatest gift of all and that she truly “is in a class by herself” (USA TODAY). From the sensational #1 New York Times bestselling author of Every Breath You Take and Paradise comes her first new novel in over a decade.

Corey Foster is the young creative genius and vision behind Foster’s Beautiful Living magazine and the enormous Foster lifestyle empire. While her stepsister Diana handles the business side of things, Corey is responsible for the distinctive look of the magazine. She is just beginning work on the pilot episode of their first wedding-based reality TV show when Diana lands the rights for them to film one of the most glamorous weddings of the year. But there’s a pretty big catch—the weekend will reunite Corey with an old flame. The one who got away. The one who incinerated her heart several years before.

Several authors whose books I loved have stopped writing. One of them, Jennifer Crusie posts her blog on Goodreads so I know she is still alive and active. Others have simply vanished and I'm left wondering what happened and why they simply stopped writing. The situation with Judith McNaught is especially mysterious in that she had a book all set for publication and then poof! no book, no Judith and nothing but silence from the publisher. Since Judith is now 75 years old any number of things could be happening. If she has simply chosen to retire, I can respect that. If she is in ill health, I will pray for her. I just want to know.

12-27-21 - Hello darkness my old friend...Welp. Here we are. My most disappointing book event this year is the revelation that I will probably never see this book.

7/1/2018 - Judith McNaught is my favorite author of all time, and I had despaired ever getting anything new from her. There were tears, guys, when I read this was coming out in October. I can't wait for this, and I am hoping it means there is more to come from her!

On amazon it says the release date has been changed, and this book is now coming out on December 31st, 2045.

Judith McNaught is 76 years old right now so... needless to say, I'm not exactly holding my breath.
Just say she retired from writing. I don't get it.

I haven't read this book and I kind of doubt I ever will but it'd be so amazing to know what happened to it. Judith's beautiful home - that I never knew would turn out to be my dream home - was put on sale. I know she's getting along in years and may want to retire. It's understandable but some kind of explanation from her or an official representative would give readers the closure they need. I wonder if this was the publisher's doing. They might have thought that JM's style of romance may not be what the modern reader wants and they kind of just wanted this one to disappear. Oh, how wrong they are if that indeed is the case.

Although this book will likely never be published… I found an interview from 2018 that I wanted to post…

Judith McNaught EW Interview 2018

In the interview she also mentions other books she was planning…then she just vanished.

Anyone have any updates?

Has anyone found an author comparable to Judith McNaught ?

It would be beneficial to let her readers know if she isn’t writing again. We can move on with our lives and she can do the same.
