5+Us Makes Seven 3+ stars Slow burn story about widower Carter who has three rambunctious kids under seven and a revolving nanny door. When his friend suggests Natasha she is just what he needs, but his feelings for her begin to grow to something more. He is ready to make a move to have her in his life when Natasha lets him know she has a position in Africa following her dream.
This one was a bit muddled. It goes on a bit with Natasha unclear of Carter's feelings but he is pretty blunt about it so was confused by that.
Hot Pursuit - Nicole Elliot 3 stars Eden has started a fresh track in life after her ex-boyfriend and drug pusher disappeared. Now the product he was distributing is back on the streets and he shows up wanting to pick things up where they left off. Eden wants no part of her past life and finds herself pairing with Detective Jack Storm to put him away. They didn't plan on falling for one another but they did..
This one was ok, not quite what I expected.
Defending the Mafia Princess by Ivy Blake 3 Stars Alexandria is wanting a vacation, she feels she has earned it but her father wants her protected from a threat that he can't reveal to her. He hires Cruz to protect his daughter and he does but what he doesn't expect is to be attracted and wanting more with her than any other woman he has been with.
I liked Cruz a lot, he was cocky and had swagger. Alexandria was a bit of a spoiled brat. I had a bit of a hard time with her character, she just didn't come off as mature to me. Cruz though made the whole story.
Doctors Order by Nicole Elliot 3 Stars Wyatt and Hailey were sweethearts until Wyatt's father passed and he shut her out. One day they were together and the next he had left and enlisted in the service. Now he is back and heading to Medical school. He doesn't expect to see Hailey and she is not interested in revisiting the past, the only problem is she has a secret that could change everything between them.
This was good but rushed at the end.
Covert Love by Nicole Elliot 2 Stars
Jade and Cooper meet while Jade is reporting in Afghanistan, she is sent away when things go awry and two years later Cooper is back to explore what could be with Jade.
I had a hard time with this one, the chemistry didn't work for me on this one.
Dr. Boss by Ivy Blake 3 stars Bryce Evander is looking for an assistant when Chloe Lewis applies for the job. It doesn't take long for Bryce to realize he wants Chloe and leaving for a trip together is bound to put them together. One heated moment leads too a few more but can it mean forever?
This was good. Quick read that packed a punch.
Teach Me 2x by Nicole Elliot 3 Stars Logan and Jake are partners who are looking for their next big idea. Madeline Jackson is one of many trying to dazzle the difficult men but she catches their interest and not just in business. They offer her a position in the CEO mentorship program but they have bigger ideas in mind. Will it be smooth sailing or will their plan backfire.
Entertaining story, liked this one a bit different then the rest.
Since his wife died, Carter has gone through nannies like kids go through presents on Xmas. He has 3 kids all under 7 yrs old and lets say, for sake of being nice, they are high energy and not the little wild childs they really are. When his best friend and business partner recommends his cousin, Natasha, his life is about to change.
Natasha is everything needs in a nanny and more. Freshly back from working in Africa she is easily in charge of the 3 little hellions and even there dad. He feels lucky to have her as a nanny but also he is feeling a pull to the sexy nanny. He tries to fight it, she does too but one kiss and thats all it takes.
When her old boss calls with a job offer of her dreams if she takes it, it means being in Africa, away from him, away from the kids. Decisions, decisions....
I liked this fast read. It was good. I think with more story. Maybe some better editing this could of been a home run for me. It felt rushed. I liked the writing style but it was to much a straight storyline and the title kind of ruined the twist.
I picked this book as I love the male narrator Jeremy York and I have decided to listen to all of his books in the plus catalogue. I didn't overly love this book but Jeremy York makes it worth listening to.

I just loved this book. At first i thought it would be your typical cheesy book but it had some sustenance. I just love baby/ family books. They melt your heart. Such feel good books. It was a great quick read. We meet Carter durning a time in his life that he is struggling. His wife, which he loved dearly, had pasted and he has his children who are children but are running a muck. He needs a nanny but more importantly a person to manage his family. When Natasha comes into the picture she restores peace from chaos. When life changes for all, love finds a way into everyone’s hearts. Natasha has her own demons but those demons carry her dreams too. When a future is presented what would you choose? Well i cant say cause thats just cheating. I read this book voluntarily for an honest review. Thank need a feel good book when i read this and it fit perfect for me. Enjoy!
Much much better than the previous in the series with its extremely inaccurate title, manwhore main male, and other issues. The harsh way she left the children and the lack of his concern that she only came back to him because of the pregnancy made this book lose points with me and earn a lower rating. I would have liked some admittance that she was the first woman he'd been with since his wife, which should be true since it had only been 2 years, but without him saying so it leaves that question unanswered and leaves me unsure how I feel about his character. There are other minor odds and ends that drove me to not give the book a higher rating. I do like this author and hope future books are more like this book than the previous.
I thought this was gonna be another silly, more-smut-than-romance, novella. I don't even know what made me download it. The summary of it is pretty ridiculous sounding. And the title is HORRIBLE. It's seriously the worst title ever. I clicked on it because of how bad the title is. But I guess the joke is on me because the bad title got me to click!
The thing is, I'm a nanny. The heroine of this book is a nanny. I enjoy reading stories about people who are in the same profession or a very similar profession as me. That's probably why I decided to give it a go. I've read a couple other nanny/single dad romances that were in the smut category and I really didn't like them. So I went into this expecting to hate it.
What made me love it was how thorough the author was when it came to Natasha's background and knowledge in child development. Every time Natasha would describe behaviors of the children to their dad and what they should do to help correct that mistaken behavior, it was dead on. She was super accurate and made me respect the author's obvious study of child development. This made me realize that this wasn't just another smut author who chose to try the nanny/single dad trope for the sake of it like the other couple of books I'd read.
I feel like the description of this book does a disservice to Carter's character. It makes him seem like this big, hard, cold, unfeeling man when he's not. Yes, he's like that at work when he needs to be. He's very professional the first time he meets and interviews Natasha, as any employer should be. But he's a loving and caring father. He was respectful and thankful and praises Natasha when he sees the value of her abilities and knowledge when it comes to his children. Even before he falls in love with her and she gets pregnant, he treats her wonderfully.
I really liked that the author didn't just have them fall into bed after a week of her working there. It took a month and a half or so before they gave in to the attraction. And then they didn't just become f**k buddies. They took a step back, examined their working relationship, talked about what happened. Decided to have one more night together but then that would be it because the children came first. He was her boss, but he didn't boss her around when it came to the bedroom. Consent was there and they were equals. The one thing that did bug me was that they never once used birth control or even talked about it. He never pulled out, to try and prevent pregnancy. They didn't talk about being clean or how many partners they had or when the last time they were with someone. I only needed one sentence to clarify this for me, but that convo never happened. I'd drop half a star for that. I actually expected her to get preggers after the first time they did it because they didn't use any birth control. Surprisingly, they had unprotected sex, spread out over several months, at least 5 time before she got pregnant.
Eventually deeper feelings developed, life went on, things got in the way. They had to overcome things together outside of sex. It made the story real. I don't want to give away the whole book, but this book was much longer than a novella. I don't know the exact pages because it comes with like 5 other bonus books and Kindle doesn't use page numbers, they use locations. But I could definitely tell that it was longer than the regular books of this style!
The time frame of this story was at least two years. Three, if you count the time jump between the end and the epilogue. Ms. Elliot developed wonderful characters who found more than just lust and hot sex (and boy was there HOT sex!). There was respect, trust, honesty, heartbreak, forgiveness, and most of all love. This book was the perfect combo of the hot, smut sex in erotica with beautiful, tender love stories you find in romance novels.
Lovely romance that is sexy and sweet...4.5 stars!
This story is adoringly captivating and entertaining. It’s a romance that is sweet and sexy and will charm your heart if you love a single dad and nanny romance.
Carter Marshall has a multibillion-dollar company, but when it comes to his kids, all under the age of seven, he’s on the brink of chaos. Since the death of his wife, Carter’s had bad luck keeping a nanny to care for Nathaniel, Joshua, and Clara. Rambunctious and wild they run everyone ragged until Natasha comes into the picture.
Natasha Lewis is finally back in San Francisco after having served a year in Africa with her group in Doctors Without Borders. Her cousin, Logan, convinces her to interview for the nanny position with Carter, a single dad with three kids in need of serious help. With a degree in Childhood Development, she comes highly qualified. Soon, life with the kids and Carter all fall into place, feeling natural more as family dynamics than a work one. It reminds Natasha she wants a family of her own. Carter is magnetic and handsome, and irresistible. Though Carter and Natasha want to keep things platonic for the sake of the kids, there is no denying the attraction between them. The chemistry is electric. Being with Carter helps Natasha deal with her nightmares of Bria, the town torn by war in Africa, but the horrors still plague her leaving her exhausted and worried.
5+Us Makes Seven is a wonderful romance. Natasha and Carter share more about each other as they spend time together, and eventually follow their hearts. It’s a heartwarming story with a satisfying ending that will melt your heart. I received and voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
Another nanny/single dad story. Yes, but this one has a bit different story than I thought. It surprised me with the unexpected twists and the heart that is in it. It is very well written and has a nice storyline and plot. It is a story of nice length. The characters is well described and they all have some dark things to struggle with. Can they open up and have a new life with a HEA? Is it possible for them to save each other? Carters is a widower and Natasha is his nanny. They develop a friendship and a attraction but can they go further with it? Can they take the chance of losing it all?
A story that has love, pain, heartbreak, chemistry, passion and an emotional up and down in it. Absolutely worth the read.
This book will grab your heart as you read about Carter being widowed with three young children under the age of seven. He ran through nannies like most people change underwear. Then comes Natasha who gets the children and house under control. They are attracted and have a night together but she curtails it from going further since he is her boss. When her job opens back up in Africa working with disabled children, she accepts. Surprise she's pregnant so she comes home. No spoiler here, but do they decide to become a family, especially with twins on the way. Lots of emotion, drama and twists. Well written with likeable characters and an entertaining story. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.
I fell in love with Carter, the widower and his three young children who are so desperately in need of a strong, skillful nanny. Enter, Natasha, who has just returned from an area wrought with conflict, where she was helping young children with developmental problems and their mother’s to learn to deal with their problems. I fell in love with the lead characters and the three children as the story unfolded. I must say the story line didn’t leave me guessing as to what was going to happen, but my heart ached as these five met each twist and turn and overcame their obstacles to find their HEA.
...may be an interesting news story, a heart rending article, or even a life's calling. What it is NOT, is a good, or appropriate back drop for a romance. Clearly, the writer has an attachment for the children living in these places. And if I were looking for a documentery of their struggles, this writer brought it to life. It just wasn't a very good romance. You certainly couldn't consider it to be a relaxing afternoon read. For me, it was more like a store-bought headache. It had way too much tension, way too much heartbreak, way too much death, and destruction. Not what I had hoped for in a light romance.
Carter is a dad who has three rambunctious children all under the age of 7. Two boys and one girl. His latest Nanny has just quit so he's on the hunt for another. His business partner Logan recommends his cousin Natasha who has a degree in child development. So after an interview he hires her. She is like a miracle worker with them and it just bowls Carter over. This ends in a very happily ever after. The sex in this is intensely descriptive and WOW!
Plus there are additional bonus stories included. Hot Pursuit - Defending The Mafia Princess - Doctor's Orders - Covert Love - Dr. Boss - Teach Me 2x
This one had me semi on board for the majority of the book. Things were fine not great but his reaction to her returning to Africa really had me pumping the breaks in regards to him. I couldn’t believe he was trying to gaslight her about her nightmares and sent her home in an Uber! That was such a red flag. I know that her getting pregnant is part of the plot but the amount of completely unsafe sex was astounding. No conversations AT ALL were had about possible consequences after any of their encounters. Also, the amount of “dripping” happening in a multitude of was was extremely alarming. All that being said….yeah I’ll probably read more
I absolutely LOVED this book! After the death of his wife, Carter has spent the last two years depending on nannies to take care of his three kids—all under the age of seven. Natasha spent the last year working with children in Africa, as part of a Doctors Without Borders team. With twists and turns, the chemistry between Carter and Natasha takes you on a wonderful trip to more than either of them expected.
**Honest review voluntarily provided from a Complimentary Copy**
I can't help but feel as if I'm addicted to Nicole Elliot's writing. There's just something about it that flows well and is incredibly easy to read and while I did skip a few of the sex scenes in the story I found myself immensely enjoying the banter and the couple's chemistry. All in all, it was a very solid read that I enjoyed quite a bit although I didn't find the short stories interesting enough to keep going with them.
This is the first book ive read by her. The story was great. The characters were loveable and relateable. The kids acted their “ages” which is great. There were quite a few gramatical mistakes that took away some of the story for me. The book ends at 19% though, and there was a completely different book after. Its misleading. Overall, I would get another book by this author and recommend this book to friends.
I enjoyed reading this book. Both characters experienced bad things and were not interested in relationships. Couldn't blame them one bit. She was being selfish and he was being stubborn. They both had to realize that love wins whether you want it to or not. The children benefited the most; they got a mom.
Billionaire meets nanny and the there's an hea. Truly nothing special, nothing stood out as different in a good way. Spoiler alert! Something I hate.
Why are so many women in books these days having unprotected sex? I mean with the std's alone you want protection! But a baby with an almost stranger??? That just makes smart women look stupid.
This was well written and the kids made the story. If you love a single dad and nanny romance, then this one will be a good read for you, sweet story but nothing super different from others I have read. Carter is raising his three young children alone after his wife died of cancer. Natasha needs a job since returning from working in Africa helping underprivileged children.
A quick enjoyable read. Mostly a lot Of fluff with smut. I'm ok with these types of books but some, like this one, leave me wishing that there was more. I wanted to see more of Carter's mother and some actual one on one time between Natasha and the kids. Can't complain about it too much though since there really was a bit of a plot. 3-3.5 stars.
When a widowed father hired gorgeous nanny with a beautiful disposition, sparks fly when they get to know each other. But will their relationship change when she is offered a position back in Africa teaching the children there?
Come enjoy this story plus the other alpha men with their mates and how they handle each unique situation.
An entertaining read with an engaging plot and likable characters. A good blend of heart and heat. A emotional read about two people that have suffered pain and loss and the love that heals them. Also includes bonus content. I'm posting a voluntary, honest review after reading this book.
A well written story by Nicole Elliot. Natasha accept a job as a nanny with Carter and his 3 kids. It’s a heartwarming story with a lot of twists. The titel says a bit of how the story evolves. An entertaining story, worth reading.
Natasha and Carter are sweet together. The children were funny, mischievous and loving. The best single father that I have read because it was so real with the emotions of all the characters. Excellent writer
(This review is for the 5+ book) Wasn’t perfect but I believe the book is worth the read. I loved her quirkiness and her smart child education advice, skills. He was loving. They took a while but finally got together. He was fantastic, caring while taking care of her.
4 stars for happy tears. Carter and Natasha's journey is well written even with the typos .😀 I skipped lunch and dinner. It was worth it. Day to day life that becomes romance. This is a keeper.
Beautiful sexy romantic love story of two incredible characters who find forever love with a family and a set of twins! Thanks I really enjoyed your story bought back many memories with my 5,things that can never be replaced. Thanks so much❤️❤️
This is a sweet and emotional story that will make you laugh and cry. The story is about lost love, family, friendship, desires and love. I was captivated by the story from start to finish. It is a standalone book with no cliffhangers.
