love this series and each book is wonderful in its own way. In this installment, we follow our intrepid heroes as they try to find a weapon that could destroy the Universe. Knox, the mechanical genius of Ghost Squadron, used the Tangle Thief 10 years ago to try to find his father. Instead, he ended up on a planet full of junk, sort of like a junkyard for spacecraft. He hid the Tangle Thief somewhere, but his memory seems to be failing him.

This book has plenty of action, plenty of disgusting aliens and loads of snark and cursing, all served up with a heaping helping of pop culture references. What two creatures come to mind for most people when you think of the most disgusting ones you might encounter? Rats and Snakes! You get both here in large form (Yuck!) along with the fact that the snake-like Saeverus are shape shifters and can take on the form of whomever they chose. Even though you might suspect that they person you are talking to might be one of these things, can you really kill something that looks exactly like your partner or even yourself?

I have loved following the development of the characters and their relationships throughout this series. The tough as nails Julianna does have a heart after all, as once again evidenced by her risking her life to save animals. Also, is there a romance brewing between Jules and Eddie? Other potential romances are hinted at and I can't wait to see what the authors have in store in the final installment (SOB!!).

The combination of Sarah Noffke's relationship and character building along with Michael Anderle's ability to pour on the action make this a great series, especially if you love Star Trek, Star Wars or other sci-fi worlds.

The narrator, Chris Abernathy, is perfect for this book and adds a lot to the listener's enjoyment with his various voices. I am amazed at someone who can keep so many characters/voices straight in their heads!

Total Score: 5/5

Summary:

The story was a rush form the very beginning. Knox is both determined to regain his memories and find the tangle thief, but scared about what happened. Add to that the return of Knox’s father making everything more complicated. I really enjoyed when Eddie and company took Knox to see a psychiatrist who was himself living in a mental facility making allowing the reader to understand that the difference between sanity may just be ones own perspective. The fight with the Saverus escalates as their determination to win at any costs shows that unlike humanity they will sacrifice their own to succeed. Add to that otter assassins who are both freaky and scary/adorable at the same time. It is wonderful to watch Julianna’s evolution from appearing cold and hard nosed to being more open to others as the series unfolds. Things may not always end the way the team wants, but their ability to adapt and support each other make them stronger than anything the Saverus may throw at them.

This audiobook was brought to life by a narrator who took the time to uniquely portray each character in the story.

And the plot thickens...

Well, those Saverus really are deceitful snakes, aren't they?

As usual, this book was as fast paced as the previous ones, with so many different storylines going, that I am totally spoilt for choice.

I'm so glad that the series is continuing, as there's a huge amount of things that I'm hoping is going to happen, and I feel it's going to take a few more books yet, to get them all detangled, and put to order - a bit like Hutch, and his engineering parts, that a certain ferret feels a need to tidy up!

I just looked at my reading list, and the next book to read is the first book of Valerie's Elites, names as the series is, so I'm very much looking forwards to seeing just what she's got planned, in her fight to help Bethany Anne and Co.

But, straight after that, I'll be coming back to book 7 of the Ghost Squadron, to see what happens next.

I keep saying it, but I'm so very spoilt, in having so many books, by so many excellent authors, to read!

All the main protagonist in this book goofy or what.

First of all I enjoy the premise of the series, a squadron of operators working behind the scenes for the Federation. What I didn’t like was the fact that the main protagonist Eddie is an idiot, his decision-making and attitude seemed very immature. Why would the general put him in charge of a strike team. Juliana is the real superstar. Second of all you don’t put your most important people in the pod dock but you put a dog in the pod dock don’t get me wrong I love dogs. But not your hacker who has asthma nor do you put your special forces teams in the pod dock, something wrong with that premise. There are other niggling problems I find in these books, I hope the other people will read it and informed me if I am too hard on the series give Juliana and the dog their own book.

Great read!

Enjoyed everything about this book. It offers everything, and more, that one comes to expect from this author, this series, and the Krutherian Gambit Universe (created by Michael Anderle). There is plenty of action, adventure and humor. Thought I would roll off my seat laughing about the Otterbots. The switching from the edge of your seat action, followed by humor, makes the chance of me falling off my seat much more predictable. LOL Another winning moved by Sarah Noffke.

How long????

I'm caught up on all but the Age of Madness (since this arc is yet to be published, I'm forgiven for not yet reading them) and Age of Magic books! I need my next fix! How long until the next book is released? I need to know how things go, where they fly off to next, and will Pip get his way???? >sigh< So many questions waiting to be answered...

My sixth read from the collaborative efforts of authors Sarah Noffke & Michael Anderle. With every subsequent book, the series gets more exciting & enjoyable. Narrator Chris Abernathy again adds greatly to the book’s enjoyment. I look forward to Ghost Squadron #7, the final book in the series. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018)

Recollection is a fantastic space adventure book that continues the story arc which started with Impersonation. The book has lots of action and humor but also takes the time for characters to get to know each other and for us to get to know them. There is a fair amount of cussing, so if that offends you, you may want to read something else.

Go Ghost Squadron

Watching the development of characters is always something I enjoy. The crafting of great characters, human and not, is a talent that all the authors in LMBPN have a rare ability to do. So thanks to the wisdom of Michael Anderle and Sarah Noffke this book is a constant surprise in both the character development and the storytelling.

Really good book in a great series

This is a really good book in a great series set in a universe that is so much fun that I would love to live in it. The characters are great and everything loving into more depth in every book. There is action, fancy tech, aliens, cool places to visit and explore. This book and series are a lot of fun and I definitely recommend both.

Hard to write a review without spoilers but I will give it a shot. Wow loving the characters and and the team cohesion. Excellent world building, but I don't get mold in the vents. Another awesome installment and I can't wait for the next book.

This is a really well written series, and I like that fact that it keeps you guessing up until the last page. A relaxing book and fun to read, I can put it down for a while and pick it up without having to do much back-reading.
