i love that towa is opening up more to mitsuki and really taking his chance, i’m so so glad! he’s back to being my favorite character! on the other hand, aya-chan is really being a bit too needy and possessive and throwing himself at mitsuki, it’s not cute, it never was, he’s being really rude and immature. just no.
Another light and fluffy addition to the series. With each book I become so enamored with each character and their development. Where are the Towa's of the world? Is it possible for someone to create an agency to find real life counterparts to manga characters?
This volume was so fun and so cute. We learn more about Towa in how he feels around Mitsuki and learning more about his past. I really liked seeing his connection with his friend group and his connection with his family. Also, him being more open about his feelings with his friends and Mitsuki was great. There is also a few moments with Aya as well that I really enjoyed because we see how comfortable he is with making his intentions and feelings clear to everyone. And the pacing was really great there was never a moment that killed. Overall, a great volume that has me looking forward to seeing how Towa and Mitsuki will continue growing together.
Oh boy that ending... I love that Mitsuki meets Towa's grandpa and the friendship they start to develop. The boys actually sitting around gossiping was kinda cute, and is not something I've seen portrayed much. I also like how Towa is not pushy, unlike Aya...
“I want you to grow up to be strong so that no matter what pain or sadness you go through you can always stand on your own” 3,75/5 This could have been easily a 5 star just for towa a Mitsuki. After confessing his feelings towards her they go separate ways. Towa goes to speak with his friends and Mitsuki goes to the karaoke but she doesn’t want to tell Reina. The basketball team talks about how they view Mitsuki and towa says he likes being alone with her and how they can fill the gaps together. We get to see towas first relationship. A classmate begged him to date her and he tried for 3 days but it wasn’t working. She was basically shaking him for not wanting to get physically with her and we know that towa is not interested in that aspect of a relationship which was cool to see. Mitsuki tells reina the next day and let’s say, she’s not the most supportive friend out there. They talk about her feelings towards towa and what’s going on with Aya and reina can’t believe it. She asks what towa has seen on Mitsuki and I think that was lowkey rude because she’s your friend like?. Anyways Towa invites Mitsuki over to his house and she gets nervous and gets ready as if it were a date and it was really cute because her little sister helped her. Towa brings her to her neighborhood and to his house. He wants to introduce her to his grandpa. His grandma is out and Mitsuki gets to see one of the neighbors who is in youth basketball. This new guy was really funny and quirky and he has a cute relationship with Towa. They behave like siblings and he was surprised because Mitsuki is the first girl he has brought home. Towa doesnt have parents and Mitsuki didn’t know about that. She spends the day there and meets the grandpa. He’s about to tell her a story about towa but he falls asleep and the end she couldn’t get the info. Later on she talks with Towa about it, and he talks about his past a bit. His mother died when he was born and his dad passed away during an accident when he was 5. He barely remembers them anymore but he has his grandparents. He remembers his dad crying over his wife and he told towa to be strong so the pain won’t affect him. He has other memories with the basketball team, how they met in middle school, how they became friends and how his grandpa introduce him to that sport. He told Towa to be honest and watch people around him and choose wisely. To choose people and open up to them about his feelings. He found the basketball team and now Mitsuki. She realizes that they used to talk a lot, but now towa is more open about how he’s feeling and she wants to do the same. He relies on her and she earned his trust and she’s happy about it. Then we have aya who came to ruin the party and he asked her about towa and the basketball team and in the end confesses his love towards her and how much he needs her to be happy and to feel confident. Honestly I didn’t like aya. He is too insistent. He’s always degrading towa and I don’t like how Mitsuki all of the sudden is thinking about aya as well. He doesn’t respect her, he has no boundaries and he seems to obsessed. Rino tells him about towa and Mitsuki relationship and how they behave around each other and he’s just like oh that’s puppy love… but at least towa is respectful unlike him. As I was saying this volume was cute and character driven. After the confession we get to see towa and mitsuki around each other. There’s some awkwardness because they are not used to dating but they are opening up to each other and I think that’s cute. Towa likes how he feels when he’s around her and even though he can’t date yet he’s always there for her. I like how they told the other what they were expecting to do that day. I adored towa telling Mitsuki about his parents and his family. I wished we could have seen more of mitsuki opening up to him but she did a little bit. She feels safe with Towa and shes not scared which is a good sign. What bothers me is the reina thing and how aya seems to always be there to bother mitsuki. I hope the next one will be better but I’m afraid we’ll get a lot of aya since we got a lot of towa during this one *sighs*

A great series with unconventional yet super fun friendships. The character dynamics were great and there were many hilarious and embarrassing moments.
The romance was well-written but never balanced between the two male love interests. The protagonist clearly loved the main love interest only. The second male love interest, who just so happened to be the protagonist’s childhood friend, was extremely pushy and forceful. His every advance was evaded and unwanted yet he still seemed to think it was okay to pursue the protagonist. At one point she outright told him to stop but due to seem weird aggressive competitiveness between the two male love interests, which likened the protagonist to some possession to be fought over or some game to be won, he continued.
The sports element of this manga was refreshing to see and I liked that it was given just as much importance as the romance. I liked that the games weren’t predictable, but in the end the match that mattered between the two male love interests didn’t at all go to plan in a way that made it all feel so unfinished. I’ll admit it got a bit tiresome seeing all the characters take the basketball so seriously like it was life and death to the point that the protagonist was not only understanding but also expecting the main love interest to love basketball more than her.
Aside from some weird and questionable aspects this was a great and enjoyable shojo romance/sports manga!
Firstly, look at that cover, isn’t it the cutest thing ever? They look like freaking besties, I can’t get enough of it. Anyway, this was pretty much all I wanted. Towa making all the moves on Mitsuki, it gives me such a joy. Aya really can’t compare. He really thinks too much of himself, seriously, can’t he see how uncomfortable Mitsuki is around him? Or is it just me? 👀 I really don’t like him. Finally, that whole thing with breaking the fourth wall in bonus manga? I’m screaming! 😂
OMG AYA SE LE DECLARÓ A MITSUKI X FIN !!! amo demasiado este manga y me gustó que towa sea más honesto con sus sentimientos y le cuente su pasado a mitsuki

I usually like toxic relationships more than cute ones (I can’t resist a yandere guy in books) in stories because they’re more interesting and I imagine myself as the main character when I’m reading the story, etc. I do like cute and healthy couples too (like Ed and Winry from FMA and Lucy and Natsu from Fairy Tail, love them so much). But I usually find many shojo couples boring (which is the reason why I still haven’t bought or read Those Not-So-Sweet Boys, I think the guy she will end up with is boring). Anyways, back to this review. I think that these two are really cute together and they do have some good moments. They also talked a lot in this volume and we learned more about Asakura. They're so awkward though and I'm not a big fan of awkward couples in stories, sorry. But like I said in my vol. 6 review, I still ship Mitsuki with Aya. I know he's pushy and I'm not exactly sure why I ship them together, I just do, but who knows, maybe my opinion will change the more I read this series. Although there aren't many male characters I like with long hair (although one of my most favourites with long hair is Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood). Some of them end up looking too feminine for my tastes, although for some reason I like him and ship him with her so far. Now I also ship her with Rui as well, they just get along so well and are cute and he just loves to tease her. Obviously she's going to end up with Asakura but I can still ship her with the other boys. That's part of the fun of stories.
I'm also glad that Reina didn't try to get in between Mitsuki and Asakura (because she wants the guys to be in gay relationships). I was afraid that she was going to be annoying about it even though it's obvious that Asakura likes Mitsuki but thankfully she was a good friend to Mitsuki.
Overall, I enjoyed this volume. But I wish we got more of the other 3 guys as well. I love that bonus chapter where the characters break the 4th wall and talk about that😂
