Just a Man: A Story of Triumph and Forgiveness

Rate this book
This is third in the Just a Boy trilogy by Richard McCann

Little did Richard know that 32 years after his mother was murdered by Peter Sutcliffe, the Yorkshire Ripper, his heart would be broken once more. In his second book The Boy Grows Up, we discovered how Richard began piecing his life back together following the loss and destruction that had blighted his early years. But tragedy was bound to strike again. Just a Man chronicles Richard's journey, as he is repeatedly tested, until he realises the truth of something he has believed since the loss of his mother when he was just five years old - that the spirits of our loved ones are always around us.

Just a Man is a remarkable book of triumph and forgiveness and will leave you spellbound.

Sat down to read 'Just a Man' and finished it in one sitting. Was totally gripped from the start and amazed at Richard's resilience and his ability to bounce back whatever life has thrown at him.

It is heart breaking to read of the loss of his dear sister Sonia and his father, but so comforting to discover the many connections and influences he continues to have with them from the other side.

I have been very fortunate to hear Richard speaker and if you get a chance I recommend that you do too.

This book is a gift offering hope and a great example that it's not what happens to us that is important but what we do with it.

What a life

I brought this and did not put it down till I had read it. The trio of books are inspirational. To lose so much but also gain life experiences that can help others. I hope Richard has a long and happy life he deserves it.
