This book is a great resource for creating and evaluating syllabi. While the writers oversell the usefulness of a syllabus, ascribing significant motivational force to a document incapable of wielding such power, the book contains numerous helpful suggestions and examples for syllabi.

I’m not sure that this needed to be a book. It could have been a few articles perhaps. It is helpful in places giving specific recommendations for syllabi, but it is a bit elementary in some places.
