A spin-off of Higurashi, in a certain sort of way, though the optional prologue is actually part of an Umineko short story collection. And it also takes places in a different village and doesn't follow any of the rules of the When They Cry series. Instead it goes all in on the supernatural horror and tells a story about a group of people who end up trapped in a village surrounded by a mysterious fog, where every living soul besides them appears to have vanished. Instead there a monsters lurking outside, and saying anything more would be a spoiler.

Quite nice for such a short series and would surely make for a good horror anime, though its one major flaw is that none of the characters are all that fleshed out, which makes a certain moment in the story fall a bit flat.

Al final terminó de forma decente. Ningún giro de la trama espectacular ni nada pero se disfrutaron los últimos capítulos de todas formas.
Recomiendo la serie si alguien quiere algo de terror para pasar el rato ya que es cortito el manga.
