I haven’t read a book like this before - the story of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was mostly told by word of mouth, or in lectures, or in passing. I didn’t personally know the story of his life inside and out, or in chronological order.
What I liked most about this book is that the prophet (pbuh) life is told as a story, a novel. Rather than as some scholarly text with fancy wording, it is written in a digestible format which I personally haven’t seen before this book.
As someone who loves to read - I was eager to read this, and fully know his story chronologically. The only thing I wish was discussed / a chapter of was of his children. His children played a role in his life - from what I’ve heard from lectures - and it would have been a great addition to add his children + the story of the wives he took after Khadijah.
But I also understand from the perspective of wanting to focus on his life specifically, not to derail from *his* story, but a small chapter would have been nice!
So as a whole, it was a great book outlining his life, a brush on the surface in some ways though. I look forward to reading a book that is similar in format + shows his in depth life.
