Daniel Jericho wants to be known only as Jericho because Daniel was his father’s name. He wants to make his own name somehow. After watching his family die of fever. He heads west. He becomes a chuckwagon cook's helper, an Indian Fighter and a gunfighter. Wounded in the Civil War he spent two years as a POW. Jericho indeed has many adventures. Another great read from Best Selling Author C.Wayne Winkle.
Another outstanding story by a very talented author! I have been fortunate enough to read many of the books released by Mr. Winkle and this one is definitely one of his best storied, thus far. Jericho is a smooth and accurate individual who believes in justice first, and talking second.
Another five star masterpiece, with never ending adventures and excitement. Very impressive storytelling and the characters are unsurpassed in action and every episode is definitely worthy of following throughout the entire book.
The characters are not your normal run of the mill group, but we're definitely selected according to their assignments. The author definitely researched his uncanny renditions of the era and knows the old American folklore thoroughly. A story that maintained my complete attention immediately and kept me mesmerized throughout the entire process.
I, most definitely, recommend this story to all readers loving, what I perceived as factual renditions of our true old western adventures. Personally, and foremost, the book is definitely heartwarming and adventurous, worthy of you time and small effort to read. Your loss, if you don't.
A CWW. Western Action Adventure (JW) (TAODAJ) (AWA)
CWW. has penned a western action adventure which begins with a young boy leaving his parents farm after they had died and the ranch repossed. He traveled West and became pals with two men and they started a ranch together. The Civil War started and two went to fight and one stayed behind. The young man became a trooper out west for the Union fighting Indians. After the war he moved on. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS
I was disappointed in this book because the author seemed to keep the protagonist at a distance. We rarely got some true emotion out of him, even when his wife dies or he loses his best friend. And to add insult to injury, doesn’t he resurrect the best friend to then be a bad guy after he had painted him as a Mister-nice-guy. There was some good writing here but those things never rang true. Not a good idea to try to hornswaggle your readers.
Was a great story until that weak ending. Have enjoyed all of Mr. Winkle's books. He is a very good author but was disappointed in this book. Would highly recommend his books to all that enjoys a great read.
Everyone he loves he loses in one way or another because someone didn't like something. Highly recommended for all readers. Has many sad parts, but an interesting story.
Jericho started going west on his mule at the age of 15 after his mother died and the bank repossessed the family farm. He traveled West and started working for a wagon train going to SantaFe . Interesting story. Always enjoy C Wayne Winkle books.
This story starts out differently than most others. This is about an innocent kid who leaves the place of his birth and goes west. I'll leave the rest to your reading
