Youngsters will enjoy spotting all the objects that are purple as they sing along with the accompanying CD for this book. Focusing on one color sharpens their visual acuity skills while encouraging them to look for the same objects in the world around them. The song lyrics that comprise the text are cheerful and informative since youngsters learn what colors must be combined to make purple. Reading this one will most likely lead to reading the other titles featuring Red, Green, Yellow, and Orange.
