Escape: A Collection of Steamy Romance

Rate this book
An anthology of Erotic Romance
Blake has been repressed his entire life. Growing up in a football town, he was being touted as the next Tim Tebow. But when a leg injury doused his gridiron hopes, he turned to the family business...being a correctional officer at the local jail.

Savannah was a troubled soul. Convicted of murdering her sugar daddy, she maintains her innocence. Now looking at a long prison sentence she looks for someone, anyone who can help her escape.

When the two meet, guard and prisoner, sparks immediately fly. They are both in prisons of their own making. One is in a prison of lowered expectations while the other is imprisoned in a literal sense. But can they break out of these cages of their own making and experience a freedom that the other can give?

I purchased this book because of the blurb, but after reading reviews on Amazon, I'm glad I wasn't the only one that felt this book was plagued with formatting issues, especially the font changes and spacing. It was extremely tough to read on my Kindle 10 and a couple of times, I nearly deleted the book. But I read on, because I really liked the premise for what I soon discovered was only the first story of a book which contained 4 short stories. That none of the three were related to the first one was a bit disappointing, considering I'd grabbed the book BECAUSE of the first story. The first one, Escape, is engaging and had the promise to be a lot longer and lot more enjoyable. I was horribly disappointed to see that it ended abruptly and I had 3 others stories to read. The blurb needs to be re-written so it is accurate, the writers (all of them) need to reformat the book so that it is readable, and it needs to start being marketed as a collection of short stories. I would have given the book a higher star rating had it been honestly presented to me.

I loved this book! The characters were so engaging and human.

Tremendous storyline! Compelling characters. I wanted to know how they lived throughout the decades.
I would love to have more of the last story of the Phantom.😀
