My review is 4.5 stars.

This is #2 by the author & also the #2 in the series Marcos Mystery. What things come to mind when you read a book with the mystery in a series? If I have to answer this question the first thing I look out or ask for is the continuity of the book in the series. How the author wrote the starting the book #2 which is at the same time complimenting the ending of the #1? To answer this question I will choose three words:

1. Flawless.
2. Incredible.
3. Just like a free-flowing water.

Taking a story from #1 to #2 is challenging to any author whether the author is old or new. After reading this book I'm forced to think if this is the author's second book ever. Izzy, really you are a new author, with only 2 books under your belt? Mark my words you are going to be in the list of greats soon enough & when you'll be on the flurry of receiving awards for your books & I just wanna clap for you among the audience from the last row. Let's talk about all the factors of the book.

As I said you pulled off the transition between the book very beautifully. Now the characters, well there were two sets of characters in the book, old & new. The development of the old characters from the #1 is marvellous and the addition of the new ones are just like cherries on the top of the cheesecake. To be honest, I was afraid when you introduced new characters. I was afraid that more characters can lead to the confusion because I'd experienced that in other books on multiple occasions. But the way you wrote them and managed is quite brilliant. When I was halfway down the book all my fear went out the hole. I felt the same connection with the old characters like, Mr Markos & the new characters like Donny. The way Markos's character written in this book is quite unexpected. I never think of it. And the Aphrodite, really? Hats off!!!

The plot of this book is wow. You are a brilliant planner and the knitter of the mystery. I'll definitely brain down the scenarios when I'm going to murder someone, lol, lmao. Really, you're a quite a thoughtful person. Where you bring this kind of wild imaginations? The plot and the mystery are so intellectual that it took my breath away on many occasions. If I've to go and see a doctor for anxiety I'm coming to you.

On n all, this is a book consisting of all kinds of emotion, well-developed characters, the plot & the story. But again you left me in the aftermaths at the end. Now again I need to wait for the #3. But hell with it. I'm waiting for it patiently.

I really want to recommend this book to all the Mystery lovers that if you have not read this book just go for it because you are missing a complete another, interesting and an awesome world.

New and different from the first, but no less entertaining. Definitely a good continuation of the story set in Tarpon Springs.
