Nate knows what he wants from Ewan, and it’s not just play. He wants everything Ewan is, every secret desire, every fear stripped bare for Nate to tease out and enjoy. More than that, he wants Ewan, just Ewan, the whole bratty package. All he has to do now is prove it, and hope that Ewan wants what Nate can give him in return.

Wanting Nate has never been the problem for Ewan. Trusting Nate with his secrets? That’s another thing entirely. So long as what they have stays shallow, Ewan can handle it, can keep Nate at arm’s length safe in the knowledge that Nate doesn’t know what he’s messing with. But it’s clear that Nate wants more than that, and Ewan can’t keep denying that he wants Nate back just as hard. Can he keep it together long enough to get away intact? Or will Nate find out what Ewan’s been keeping from him, and discard him the way Ewan is so certain he deserves?

There was a lot of heart and emotion in this book - Ewan & Nate were great. A perfect pair, just what each other needed... pushing them both out of their comfort zones and into a trusting safe space. Nate was awesome and his patience with Ewan was sweet. I would have loved a bit more at the end particularly when it felt like they had just found their peace - it was a bit too sudden for me ! Still very enjoyable ❤️

I just adore Ewan, all of his brattiness, his attempt at not getting attached and totally failing, his desire for love but thinking he's undeserving of it, I just love everything about him. And I love that Nate can see past all of his bravado and is totally falling for the man underneath all of that.

This is a much different type of relationship than Jack and Channon (and I love that we got to see a bit more of their relationship from Nate's side of things) but it's just wonderfully written and grew so much in this third part.

I think that Nate and Ewan are at a good resting point - and I know we'll see them more in the next season of Jack and Channon's story, but I hope that RJ Moray will get back to Nate and Ewan before too long! These guys deserve the next part of their relationship to be told!

I loved Nate and Ewan’s journey towards each other and finding a safe space to be themselves. They’re perfect together. I especially adored it when Nate couldn’t help but show his tender side to Ewan, and Ewan lets him.

Nate and Ewan journey is so different from Jack and Channon's. Ewan is the "Brat" that he was waiting for. Even though his feelings for Jack somewhat keep him envious of what Jack has with Channon.

Nate knows that Ewan is it for him but he has to let Ewan think he's making the moves not Nate. Nate being the Dom that he is knows exactly what Ewan needs to be comfortable with Nate hurting him the way he SHOULD be hurt. Loving.

***Ewan likes pain but was exposed to it the wrong way. He feel dirty (not in a good way), humiliated and worthless. ***

This was a nice end to the trilogy. Nate and Ewan are finally on the same page and end on a promise that suits them both.

I really hope we see more of these guys, either in Jack and Channon's next series or more of their own. Ewan spent so much time unable to let go of his past and fighting his relationship with Nate that I want to see what these two can be like when they are both all in.

4 and 1/2 Stars. I loved the conclusion to these books. I expected a happy ever after or at least temporarily. There are promises of more stories about Ewan and Nate so I’m sure there will be other trials to deal with.

Nate and Ewan are a great couple. I love their interactions with each other. They are frequently humorous. I much prefer this spinoff of “His Boy Next Door” to the original series. There’s a lot more personality to this couple. Jack and Channon are a bit bland which is ironic considering how kinky they are. Also this trilogy has plot and character growth which I didn’t see much of in HBND Season 1.

The good
+ Nate being a giant ray of sunshine at work
+ Ewan guarding every little morsel of information like it's top secret so Bianca the gossip won't find out anything about him
+ Nate taking Ewan on dates
+ Ewan being so prickly all the time and Nate being so delighted
+ Nate kind of reverse-psychology-ing Ewan into becoming his exclusive boyfriend
+ Casual PDA at work
+ Cameron. He's hilarious
+ The ending

The bad
- Jack is such an asshole to Nate. Nate deserves a better best friend!
- Ewan still didn't get the fucking he wants so badly

Quotes
x "I love hurting you. But hurting you wouldn't mean anything if I was never nice to you, too."
x "I'm thousands of miles from home," Ewan whined, pouting like a monster. He was wearing reindeer boxer shorts and nothing else, wriggling about on Nate's bed like an octopus and being far too noisy for this hour of the morning. "I'm practically an orphan. It's Christmas. I deserve cock."

This was romantic as fuck and these guys are perfect for each other. I'm so happy there's three more books to go!

I love watching Ewan start to trust Nate and allowing himself to care for him as they both deserve. I love seeing Nate enjoying himself and being able to share himself with Ewan, it's clear he has a lot to give. I love them both getting what they need from each other. The side story with Nate's nephew was handled well and I got a kick out of him and Ewan together too.

This series just gives me all the happy right now and I'm enjoying it greatly, even with the bits that need more/better editing.

Ewan's Journey to Trusting Nate--So Good!

This was a perfect ending to this trilogy (though I'm definitely rooting for more about these two, both in His Boy Next Door and in a novella or more about just them!). I love how Nate takes care of Ewan just the way he needs, by being sweet and protective and watching over him, and also the way he wants, by being sadistic and hurting him in just the right way. It's such a dicotomy, but works perfectly for these two. Nate becomes responsible for a younger relative at one point, and I really enjoyed Ewan's interactions with him! Definitely reminded me of my siblings at times. 😉

One of my top favorite parts, though, is all the intersections with His Boy Next Door, especially the crisis from #21, when you get to see a lot more of Nate and Jack's story--so much extra info and so good! I could just thwock Jack for putting Nate through that!

But in the end this is about Ewan and Nate, and Ewan finding the courage to trust Nate. As he gets closer to trusting Nate, their play scenes get more intense, too. His journey to finding that courage was a long one, and I'm so glad I got to be along for the ride!

I am so glad I decided to read up to the third book in this series. I got some sort of ending that's really satisfying and I definitely like the main characters. They make a great pair. Nate is so firm, I love it, and Ewan is the actual definition of a brat and I was delighted (bit sad about it too) to find out what exactly happened to Ewan.

The series has it all, a good plot, it's kinky, and good writing. Only there is one thing the author seems to have been confused about and that I can't overlook.

I like that the author took their time with the characters, to build up their relationship and didn't rush with whatever happened before, it was fun to read. Just enough anticipation to not make me climb up the walls and not delivering too soon so it would be a disappointment. Although I rate this one star less, I enjoyed it just as much as the first two.

This one dragged a bit for more. I think maybe there was just a lot of pull in different directions — the Jack drama, the nephew and homophobic family drama, the Gary trauma reveal, the romantic developments with Ewan and Nate, the kink with Ewan and Nate.

I think also, the kink feels like such an integral part of who they are individually and as a couple… and it just feels like it takes a bit of a back burner. I don’t necessarily think this needed more sex, maybe just less of everything else. The page count probably would have had to been 50+ pages higher for everything going on to have worked for me.

Dom Nate and Bratty Ewan story continues

In this continues with Dom Nate and his best Ewan. Here they play and break down most of Ewan walls. Also Nate's nephew runs away from home straight to Nates. His nephew was kitted as being bi and his mom didn't take it well. As Nate and Ewan try to continue their relationship while keeping an eye on Nate nephew Cameron. Ewan meets Nates family. Can't wait for the next chapter in Nate and Ewan story.

Together as a whole 4 stars I only read the first three I know there’s more but I feel the first three are enough. I’m gonna imagine them happy and if I need a quick pull and tug hea I know I can come back to the other books. Yes Ewan will get on your nerves because he acts like a child sometimes and with more reading you get why… but Nate did not give him any reason to act that way if only Ewan would have voiced his concerns more things would have gone wayyyyy better.

After reading Jack and Channon's story for so long, I wasn't sure I was ready to switch gears and take on Nate and Ewan. This story has bite and sharp edges, and I loved all three parts. Nate and Ewan are different than Jack and Channon but just as lovable. I'm so glad I gave them a chance! I only wish there was more to come.

Giving in!

Holy hell, what a Steamy Hot Sexy story? Nate and Ewan together finally making it work.
I would like to read more but I think the rest of their story is already in Jack and Channon series.

More

I really liked this series and was disappointed to know this was the last book with Nate and Ewan. I want more, I want them to get to a permanent place they both need. Even though I want more this series is great and I definitely recommend it.

I fell in love with these two

When I was read his boy next door, I was incredibly curious about Ewan and Nate. So Thank you for giving them a story. They are so very different from Jack and channon in the best way. I love the way Ewan is a Beat and how Nate loves on him.

He’s letting go

Ewan is starting to let go…his insecurities at least and only to Nate. It’s good to see the progression of their relationship. Cameron in the book also let us see how Ewan reacts towards him and Nate.

Good, but a just not quite as satisfying as the previous two. I'd like to add my requests for more Nate and Ewan please, especially exactly what happened at Headmistress Celestina's tea party...

Need more

Good segment. But I feel this might be dragging out these two lives. There a lot of books and I have a feeling stuff is going to start repeating itself.

Ewan is running hard from his desires here, and Nate is fighting his own to a certain extent. Moray does an excellent job of maintaining the tension between them as their emotional ties grow closer.
