Intriguing
This book was an enjoyable read - not a police procedural as such but with elements of one. There was never any question of who was primarily responsible and the main area of interest was in the interplay between the characters as well as their motivation. The epilogue did however give an interesting twist

A book that makes you think! Nice to meet up with the two lead characters again , but wish they would appear sooner. Unusual ending which keeps you guessing!

After reading the first book, Promises, Promises I was really looking forward to reading With Menaces.
It’s a powerful story of what happens to one man’s life after he loses his job.
A well written, powerful, emotional and sometimes harrowing tale of how Gavin takes revenge against the people he thinks are responsible for his situation.
I enjoyed getting to know DI Alan Wardell better ( no spoilers ).
I’m looking forward to reading the next book.
