"It was the classic challenge, the meeting of two famous guns ... an incident rare in the West and seen by few men. They met in the lamplight of old Laredo Tow, each man pacing slowly in the face of death. Only one would walk away ..."
Even the Texas Rangers and the local law held back from the two powerful, land-hungry millionaires. Joe Blade was the only man left to challenge them. They ambushed him, bushwhacked him and tried to run him out of town, but he survived. Meeting violence with violence, Blade would never surrender until he had concluded the Laredo Assigment.
Jose Santiago Espada, we know him as Joe Blade, fighter, known throughout the West as a gun you don't mess with. The word "fear" doesn't exist in Joe Blade's world. If this is the bullet has my name on it so be it, can't expect to live forever.. Women are enthralled by him and vice versa. One would say that Blade looks more Angelo than Mexican because people are taken back when he speaks fluent Spanish evidently his English isn't accented...However, he's a man who seems to eat bullets, like so many other gunnies of the West. Fast reading, bits of history intertwined in this action story, the descriptions of the areas seems to pull you in as you ride along with Blade. ENJOY
