Josiah Hallow carries the weight of the world on his shoulders. Literally. Between keeping his family safe as the head of the Hallows, training his six younger brothers for their individual turns in the MMA cage, and guarding his mother’s amulet from the creatures who want to use it to take control of the world, his sanity is about to break.
Mating with the pure Sarah Merit, an overly-religious school teacher whose body makes every fiber of Josiah’s being stand at attention, could finally push him over the edge. Unfortunately, despite the all-consuming sex that blazes between the pair, it isn’t enough to convince Sarah to live with him so he can protect her, as well.
When Josiah learns the secret Sarah is keeping from him, he makes a deal with the pair of vampires who run the MMA promotion the family fights for in an attempt to save her. But will he be able to save her again when Sarah is kidnapped and taken to Josiah’s grandfather, Atticus, the vicious alpha of a pack of werewolves in Maine? And what will Sarah do when she finds out the sexy corner of the Hallow Brothers is a werewolf, too?
Tricia Andersen lives in Iowa with her husband and her three children. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts in English and from Kirkwood Community College with an Associate of Arts degree in Communications Media/Public Relations. For the past five years, Tricia has been a member of Hard Drive Performance Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, an affiliate of Roufusport in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She has experience in kickboxing and currently trains in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Even though she has never competed in an MMA cage, she’s witnessed and been a part of a fighter’s journey from fight camp to their walk to the cage. She also has competed in jiu jitsu.
I love this series and I'm only four books in this means I only have three more until it is complete. :( I cannot get enough of these alpha shifters.
Joseph is the eldest and in charge of protecting the entire family after his dad died. He does not have time to do anything but coach his brothers and protect his family. Then he finds his mate at his aunts funeral who is a good girl, a school teacher and church goer.
Sarah is drawn to one of her friends nephew whom they called Satan's spawn. He tempts her to do things that is against everything she believes in. She is tough and keeps Sam on his toes.
While these two are trying to figure things out Joe tosses one more thing in the fire when he makes a deal with the vampires. Then add in their grandfather who is determined to bring them home especially Joe. They are still trying to figure out this heka amulet vampire thing. Joe has a lot of things resting on his shoulders.
I loved how the brothers pulled together to get things done. Even the mates pitched in even though they caught heck for it. I also like how there is the main story line about the brother and then a story line that continues through the entire series that only becomes more complex when more characters are introduced. I need to find out what is next. Oh my there are only three brothers left.
When the weight of the world is forever on your shoulders the oldest hollow is finally getting his own taste of his medicine. After the tragic death of his aunts by two vampires, while at the church Josiah feels this strange pull that can’t be explained and then he see Sarah one of the aunts church friends who is by the book. He got into shoes as you could say but she has also met her match and Josiah, we need to get together disagreements are going to happen stubbornness is the main part of their relationship and some secrets that Sarah is holding. Decided I’ve been friends with her about being a werewolf and everything that goes on in his life the hell we handle it when he finds out that his mate is also a fighter. Find out what happens when Josiah who promised his father that he was going to take care of the family has to let go of the reins a little bit to help his mate fight for her life. I just love this family and the story and it’s hilarious to see Josiah get a taste of his own medicine is how stubborn Sarah is how she doesn’t back down from anything that he has to say.
I highly recommend that these books be read in order. Each book builds on the story of the previous books, just from a different brothers prospective. Poor Josiah gets mated to straight laced Sarah. Sarah is a school teacher at a catholic school, goes to church, prayed with his aunts, and can't stand cursing. Josiah is a foul mouthed werewolf that has taken care of his family since his dad died, and coaches his brothers. Sarah doesn't understand the danger she is in, and refuses to move in with any man until they're married. With dangerous werewolves and vampires closing in, Josiah is forced to do whatever it takes to protect those he loves. There is explicit adult content.
Holy Heka, Curses and Werewolves! Corner is amazing! Tricia Andersen has really turned up the heat and emotions in the fourth book of the Hallow brothers. Not only is the romance and desire between Josiah and Sarah off the charts, so much more is revealed about the past and future of the Hallows.
Oh Josiah! *swoon* This series just gets better and better. When I read the first book I knew I was hooked. It was steamy, witty, full of angst, and of course there are SHIFTERS!!!! What I expected from the series is that each brother would go through their mating and would have a different story with getting their mates to understand it and a different MMA fight. What I did not expect was for the story to develop in a way that continually pulls you into another story. There are new characters that come into each book and now we have vampires, an ancient magic with the Heka, the wolves from their father’s pack, and tons of craziness. This story has blown up (in an incredible way)! One of the things I love most about this story is that we get to go back into the other book to see Josiah dealing with the events up to his mating that don’t happen until this book. The way they overlap and give us more depth into the story previous is amazing. It makes the world building just that much better. The brothers all have their quirks and I feel like as I get to know them in the books and their mates I can relate something about them to myself or other people I know. Plus, have I said anything about them being shifters? Cuz they are HAWT MMA SHIFTERS!!!! And Sarah, Josiah’s mate….she a badass too and an MMA fighter! I love these books! I love the twists!!! Sooooo looking forward to the next!!!!!!!!! Bring it on, Tricia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
