I got this on Kindle Unlimited!

Having been on the internet in the early 2010’s, and loving horror, I was destined to find Creepypasta and wow,
It become an escape and way for me to imagine the sinister and impossible. With that said, I quickly fell in love with them as a whole and frequently dreamed of writing my own. This comic brought me the level of joy I wanted and the nostalgia I needed in times like these that are trying. I have so much love for the community and this comic brought me back to such a place. With that said, I would also love to interview Mr.Creepypasta sometime on my page, should he want to find me on my Instagram @jjbookaday . The same goes for the author Vincent as well. Thank you, and keep it up! 5 out of 5 stars here.

CRREEEEEPPPPPYYYYY

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I wasn't sure if it could be "Creepy" enough in this format... however it was done well & I will be looking forward to the NEXT one. They should do these more often...and by "They" I mean the people who put together this comic, "they" should make one every month🤔 or..... every 2 weeks.

This was interesting. I'm not that familiar with the whole "Creepypasta" thing but from what I understand it's creepy modern internet urban legends. The art was a little crude but was creepy. Overall this was like an updated Tales from the Crypt type comic and not a bad read if you enjoy horror comics.

Reto: 13 cuentos lectores.
Consigna: Estatua

I got my hands on one of the hardcover copies of their Creepypasta Comic. A double issue, the comic is anchored by the mysterious Blueman, an intimidating phantom that lives in the deepest, darkest recesses of the net. He tells two spine-tingling tales full of twists and turns. The first, HE IS… THE RAKE, features a creature that has inspired a massive fandom around the web. Appearing to people in the night the entity cases the death of one man’s wife. That man will stop at nothing to gain revenge, but his quest for vengeance may be misguided. I WAITED INSIDER HER CLOSET follows a dangerous serial killer with an unhealthy obsession with fame. The homicidal maniac’s grisly exploits soon set him on a collision course with something much more terrifying than he’ll ever be.

The comic is currently available in hardcover and now an e-book version. The cover itself does not feature much information, aside from the Creepypasta logo, the Midnight Hour logo, and The Rake, staring at us through hollow eyes as blood drips off his fingers. The lack of other information on the cover works well, drawing us in with questions. There’s not even a blurb on the back to tell us what to expect. There is only a clear invitation to horror. I was blown away by the fantastic feel of a hardcover comic – something I’m not used to – but even that feeling was quickly overtaken by fantastic art and fast paced storytelling.

The two stories are self-contained, and the reader is thrust directly into the story and able to identify with the main characters instantly. One does not require previous knowledge of Creepypastas or the (highly limited) history of The Rake to enjoy this collection. The stories are easy to understand and will live on in your memory due to the way they marry humor, pain, and vengeance. One of the things I loved about these stories is that they found a way to still tell the stories in a mostly first-person point of view; something most successful Creepypastas have in common. I also enjoyed that these stories are able to be devoured by a huge age range. While there are slight implications of sex, it’s never really shown. The deaths occur (as expected), but I would argue the gore level is lower than it is on the cover of the book. However, that doesn’t make those deaths any less emotional for the reader. I think these books would appeal to teenagers as well any adult who reads horror and comic books.

As for the art, this book far exceeded my expectations with its artwork. The colors are vibrant, while maintaining the darkness necessary for stories such as these. The horror of certain monsters shines through in beautiful form as we’re allowed to actually see them, instead of imagining them in our minds. The panels flow effortlessly, drawing the eye on the correct track to allow the story pacing to maintain a stranglehold on the reader. The art adds to the story without being overbearing and distracting. If I had one criticism of the art work, it would be a single word balloon where the font size is too small and drew me out momentarily; which was unfortunate as it is at one of the most important parts of the story.

Overall, I cannot say enough good things about this endeavor. I spent time with both Vincent V. Cava and Mr. Creepy Pasta discussing their love of the pulp comics of the past and the horror televisions shows we grew up with (Twilight Zone, Tales From the Crypt, The Outer Limits, Tales From the Darkside). The influence of these past horror classics is not only evident in this comic, but this comic is, in turn, a true homage to them while also taking its rightful place next to them.

Mr. Creepy Pasta and Vincent V. Cava tapped into something the current comic scene desperately needs more of. Anthology series like this are few and far between. Hopefully this is the beginning of something beautiful from this crew and maybe the book that will influence future storytellers the same way so many of us were influenced by the horror shows and comics we grew up with.

Why does this even exist? The art is horrible, and the stories are uninspired and dumb. I will however give props to the fact that whoever made this happen, was thinking outside the box, and tried to have that old 'tales from the crypt' feel to it.
Creepypastas are a great media to base comics on, so I really don't know what happened. Or maybe I do, I mean - repeating myself, I know - this is a cashgrab, two semi popular people trying to bang a buck out of their audience. And dude, that is fine - just go into it knowing that it's not good, or remotely creepy. it's a circlejerk, a project to throw at the wall to see if it stuck - it didn't.

But if you are a fan of either V. Cava or MrCreepypasta, by all means, knock yourself out, and add this to your fangirl library.

I think that if they were to do a number of these across time, they'd really come together. This wasn't a bad first pass.

CreepyPasta

I really enjoyed this one! The stories where amazing! I have just one complaint. This is a 7/8 dollar book and it only has two stories! The ones we are given are amazing and I am thankful for that but why only two? It’s possible they just couldn’t afford to do more but oh well. Still great to see one of my favorite horror genres out here in the mass media!

Good but short

Great drawings, read on the Kindle app so you get the brilliant colors! Disappointed it's only a few stories though.
