The name, spoken aloud, was a murder of the innocence of Tahr, and anyone within a thousand paces heard it die. It was not the syllables of the word which were responsible for the befoulment; had they been accidentally spoken, they would have carried no power. The intentional utterance, the knowing expression of the name most foul by a living human being had despoiled the virtue of the world.
The companions from the Grove make their way to Eyreloch, racing against time to petition the capricious Airies for assistance against the looming threat from beneath the surface of Tahr.
The kingdoms of Mor and G’naath are leaderless. The once-great dwarven kingdom of Belgorne is led by its ill-tempered Secondson, Dohr Silverstone. The knights and rangers of Thornwood charge for the Maw to put an end to the evil that threatens the world, still unable to name their true enemy.
Mila Felsin has failed in her quest for vengeance. Sartean D’Avers lives. An abomination born of the fires of Fury deals death and destruction from above – and yet even the great beast is but a herald of the horrors to come in this third volume of The Days of Ash and Fury.
Spawn of Fury is intended to be read after completing the first two books, Omens of Fury and Tremors of Fury. All three books are also currently available in a three-ebook set titled Ash: The Days of Ash and Fury, Act One
The 3rd book continues the fine story-telling that the 2nd book built up to. This series is indeed epic. I didn't note before I started that there would be more than 3 books - and 900 or so pages into the saga, now, I'm a little dismayed to find that I have to wait for the rest of the story to be told. But I do have faith Mr. Hinn will finish, and the remainder of the story will continue with the quality I have seen so far. I look forward to reading how our heroes fare against the dragon - I love the mini-twist that nobody even knows what a dragon is! - and the other dangers that are sure to rise up against them.
There is a maturation to Mr. Hinn's writing. As the story progresses, so does his ability to pull the reader in, and develop his characters. Book 1 and 2 were declarations and promise of where this series could go and the level of investment Mr. Hinn could get from his readers. Book 3 is the beginning of delivering on that promise. Cannot wait for Book 4!
Now I’ve read the third book I have to wait for book 4. I enjoyed the third book I really like the characters Shyla is awesome. I like all the hero’s who have been sent on a journey to save their world. I think Mila is a good person and she will surprise everyone, especially herself. It has me wondering now if Cindra can come back from where she went and can she help them because they seem to need some help from some one at this point.

Unfortunately the 3rd book did not get any better than the first two and honestly the author could have condensed the 3 books into 1 and made a better story getting rid of the fluff and drivel which did not aid to the storytelling. I cannot beleive there is another 3 books before the story concludes.....not sure I will bother reading the nxt three as the first 3 were awful and boring
The story sounded captivating. I love fantasy it is one of if my favorites to read. I also love the fact that like Jrr Tolkien there is a wonderful new world to explore.
The pacing seems to really speed up in this book. I love that the author isn't afraid to kill off beloved characters, though I would plead for Sir Barris to be spared. Onto book 4. :)
This third book delivers on promise of the first 2 books that this series will be an Epic Fantasy novel. In the style of Robert Jordan and others, there are no insignificant characters. So many tales intertwine to complete a truly epic tale set in a great world to explore. I quickly found myself getting attached to so many different characters, laughing and crying with them. The first 2 books set the stage and now as all Fury breaks loose we see the promise of those first 2 exceeded. I cant wait for book 4.
