Hunted Witch Agency #5

Magically Blended

Rate this book
Case closed? Maybe not.

I’m a protector of the ley lines, and I’m also the direct link to warlock magic. No wonder I’m amazingly amazing right now. Although, this amount of magic is making me shaky. Is any paranormal creature built to hold so much?

Fighting the urge to use my magic every waking hour, I throw myself into the unfinished case of the Scottish mob coven and their poisoned drugs. My ignorance led me to believe that I’d wrapped everything up with a bow. And, yet, when our original culprit throws blame on the mob leader, we have to find evidence. Do we release our enemy to get our proof? Even at the risk of losing him?

Either way, his fate, and mine, will be decided on the day of the solstice. Will I be magically blended or magically broken?

This is the final book in the Hunted Witch Agency series. Devon is going to miss you.

Magically Blended is the fifth and final story in the Hunted Witch Agency Series by Rachel Medhurst. I have enjoyed this series and so was a little sad to have reached the end- but also quite happy with the way Ms. Medhurst wrapped everything up. There were definitely a few surprising developments that I didn’t see coming. I also appreciated how Devon grew quite a lot from the person we first meet in Book #1, to who we see at the end. She really found herself over the course of the series, becoming more comfortable with herself, and her powers. The secondary characters all added to the overall storyline/s too. I look forward to exploring more of Ms. Medhurst’s work in the near future.

Thank you, Ms. Medhurst!

Devon Jinx's story has truly been an all-around wonderful read! There are so many facets to her and her story that I just appreciate so much! Her strength & persistence, her wit & snark, her emotion-evoking expressions & experiences, her heart, her self-awareness & realistic approach to her challenges, her loyalty & commitment to others, her bonds with those closest to her & the way their relationships developed.... I could go on and on, but I think you get the gist. :)
Like other reviewers, I am super sad about the end of the Hunted Witch Agency books; yet, I feel completely satisfied with the conclusion of this series! I have loved how Ms Medhurst has written and resolved all the different elements here - we've had action & fights against bad guys; we've had relationship development - both romantic and familial; we've seen internal struggles with immense growth; and we've gotten all of it with a significant amount of clarity and acceptance, not to mention a good bit of humor and wit!
I am VERY much looking forward to Ms Medhurst's next work(s) in this world, telling the story of a Paranormal MI5 agent - the glimpse I've seen through this series has me chomping at the bit to keep delving into this world! Thanks, Ms Medhurst, for a great series! Keep 'em coming!

When I received this ARC, I knew it would be the last in the series. I was sad to know that I would need to say goodbye to these characters. However, the series really did wrap up very well, with that an HEA and a conclusion to just about everything.

Devin continues to be self-deprecating in her humor, often making comments about her lack of stature and her messy appearance. However, her personality has changed, and she is no longer as snide or sarcastic as she once was. Gerard has also changed. He is no longer the brooding, intimidating man he was at the beginning. Love has transformed them. And that's what's so great about this. Their love is transform invisible. It's not just made up of words, telling about a feeling. It actually demonstrates those feelings.

As a reader, I experienced joy and sorrow with these characters, and it will be difficult to say goodbye. I am sad to see them go, but I know that they are in a good place. Combined with the authors assurance that these characters will show up in future novels, I'm happy to move on. I really enjoyed this series and I highly recommend it.

This series was a waste of my time personally, I never felt attached to the female protagonist I was constantly annoyed by her.

The storyline wasn’t strong enough to warrant 5 books! It would have been better if it ended with her grandmother dying rather than going into magical drug deals.

Taking 5 books to resolve her 1/2 witch l, 1/2 warlock predicament was stupid. And honestly how is she the only one ever conceived by the two mixing over thousands of years you don’t think it would have happened before regardless of a little law?

I were would have liked if I’m of seen a way the warlocks magic could have been less “dark/evil” rather then them just needing to take like AA classes.
So that any love between the two species would be okay, but nope after 5 books and basically the last 2 books had a story of another witch & warlock in love that never got fixed. Just bad guys in jail and everything goes back to normal.

I feel like I just wasted a bunch of time sticking with this series when I should of stopped at book 1

I love Rachel Medhurst’s novels and have been having an absolute blast (yes, that’s a very good thing indeed) with her Hunted Witch Agency urban fantasy series. As much as I’ve dreaded the series ending it’s still no surprise then that I was delighted to get my hands on Magically Blended, Book 5 of the series. This book is, quite simply, a superb way to end a superb series, and is most definitely recommended. It had just what I wanted and was well written and with a great plot and great cast of characters. I frankly adore Devon and have loved watching her take on all comers. Gerard and the rest of the cast of characters are pretty amazing as well. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises - the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, it is easy to highly recommend.

I really enjoyed this whole series with glimpses of characters from the Viking Souls series (which I also enjoyed). Devon and Gerard's story picks up right where Magically Banished left off...you'll definitely want to read these books in order. As with the other stories in this series, there is plenty of drama and danger as Devon continues to fight to do what's right, going up against evil characters who want her magical powers for themselves. There are moments that made me laugh and others that left me reaching for a tissue. I love how Devon continued to grow as the series continued, and how she found her place in the magical world, taking matters into her own hands. I'm sorry to see this series come to an end... but perhaps we'll see more of Devon and Gerard, and their bosses, in another series down the road...there are still plenty of characters to work with!

This was the end of the series and it ended very well. There was a lot going on in this one. Devon's relationship with Gerard and her parents was one. Another was Devon's quest to turnover her link to her warlock magic but at the same time denounce her Essex Witch link with Mary and Becky's help. Denouncing the Essex Witch link will allow her to marry Gerard. Then we also have them trying to solve the drug problem from the last book with the help of the team. So to put it mildly there is a lot of action in this one. This was a great series with characters, main and secondary, that were interesting and likable. I received an ebook at no charge for which I voluntarily provided an honest review.

It's a bit hard letting Devon and everyone from the Hunted Witch Agency go, but it seems like we might see some more of them in the future, which helps ease the sting.
In Magically Blended, there's so much going on, it's action-packed from the get-go. Devon needs to wrap up the investigation and she needs to sever her warlock link because she is addicted to magic. It's all a lot to handle and as with everything in her line of work, it's not without risks or injury. It's not very often that I laugh out loud or cry in books, and Rachel had me doing both. Her writing has blossomed immensely, and the storyline feels like it's come full circle. As hard as it is to let everyone go, she's made it as complete as possible, and it's a good feeling. I absolutely loved this series.

I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this advance reader copy and was not compensated in any way.

Magically Blended is the final book in the Hunted Witch Agency series about Devon Jinx a hybrid Witch/Warlock. While I am quite sad to see the end of this series I am quite happy with this final story. It wrapped up a lot of loose ends and I was quite happy with the Devon/Gerard storyline. I am not going to give any spoilers but there was a cameo from the Viking Soul series (it was not the first cameo just one I really liked) that just made my day. I highly recommend this entire series to anyone that loves magic and can relate to not knowing your place in the world. This series will be on my re-read list for years to come.

When I started this series, I never knew that it would be possible to get so attached to characters in such a short time!! Rachel has such a way with character developement, that you just feel like you know them inside and out. And the chemistry between Devon and Gerard can be pretty much felt in the air by anyone with a pulse! As The Hunted Witch Agency finishes tying up the last case of the series, the book continues the path of the series with twists, turns and spirals. It was such a pleasure reading this series... I’m so sad that it had to end!! There isn’t a book in the series that I wouldn’t read over and over!!

This is the final book in the series. It is sad to say goodbye. It has been a very interesting series. Devon has really changed since the series began and is really coming into her own.

Gerard and Devon are an interesting couple who you never quite know what to expect. Gerard really keeps a lot to himself but this time is coming out of his shell some. Their scare really pushed them to make some changes in their relationship.

You do get an ending that is satisfying. The crime is solved and the relationship goes in the direction I was hoping for since the beginning.

I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received.

The final story about Gerard and Devon in this series. It made me laugh and cry, sometimes at the same time. Everyone from the series who was still alive popped in for this one as they try to solve who exactly is killing people with magic laced drugs. There were a few twists I did not see coming and a few scenes that made me laugh out loud as usual in this series. I loved how great it was to watch Devon become a better person and more comfortable with herself and her interactions with all her friends and family were a hoot as usual. Just another great book in this great series.

Back in London, Devon's partner is deathly ill. Dare she risk saving him? And then how do they work together to wind up the investigation, along with Kurt and Justina?

Disclaimer: I'm personally acquainted with the author.

This was a a fun wrap-up to the preceding four stories, and not without its own twists, turns, and surprises. I really liked it, and felt sorry to be saying goodbye to Devon, Gerard, and Devon's pet rat, Kingsley (though rumor has it they'll be making cameo appearances in future stories. Great series, and lovely HEA (Happily Ever After).

What a story! It hits the grounding running from the very first page to the last. The characters take you on a ride that you don't want to get off of. Devon and Gerard and everyone else are after who they think is killing off people and add to that someone's after Devon. Life couldn't be crazier for them. This is a story that has you smiling, gasping, OMG moments and just happy but sad that their story has come to an end. A definite must read, you won't be disappointed.

The final (maybe) installment of Devon's saga wraps up all the loose ends, presenting us with a strong female lead who, through the four book journey has finally found herself and is comfortable in her own skin. Gerard and the rest of the Hunted Witch Agency group are back to provide a strong supporting cast and plenty of action. Villains are dealt with, issues get resolved and you'll be kept in suspense until the very end.
A great read.

Cliffhangers seriously cliffhangers are deadly!!!!

I know this isn't technically a cliffhanger but it sorta is! Gemma dies. That's like jaw dropping an I'm happy she gets her own series. This series was so stunning, emotional and I just loved it I seriously couldn't stop reading any of it now I'm going to read Gemmas series. Now I want to know if she really dies or lives I have conflicting emotions on this right now.

I have loved this series from the beginning and am sad to see it end. This book is the perfect ending to the series, tying up all those pesky loose ends and closing the case. Though it has ended, I did close the book with a smirk. I hope we get to see these characters again, and I am looking forward to what's next from this author.

I really enjoyed seeing Devon grow as an individual through the series. I love that Devon finally gets to be with Gerard. They make such a great couple. Their journey in this book had lots of twists and turns it. It made me laugh and cry. I’m sad that this is the end of their story but I look forward to reading what Rachel Medhurst writes next.

Magically Bound, my third read from author Rachel Medhurst and the fifth in the Hunted Witch Agency series, obviously I’ve missed a lot in jumping from book 1 in a series to book 5, but it’s what I own. An ongoing, well-written tale of witches, warlocks and a mystery I look forward to reading more books in the series and more from this author.

Loved it! The hunter is being hunted, which makes life difficult and dangerous, while at the same time standing before an incredibly difficult choice that could mean the loss of a special part of her powers.

A great wrap up

A nice end to a great series. Although, I have to say that I had a bit of a hard time getting into the book. It felt too all over the place. Still, it was a good story.

Bittersweet but good.

Devon has come a long way and is stronger for it. Some loss but so much gained. I won’t ruin how it all comes together in the end but instead just say, it feels right and victory can sometimes be achieved at a price that is dear.

Book 5/5

As we finally come to the end of Devins story I’m far more relived than sad. The series started out well enough but I found myself continuing to read for the sake of finishing it rather than for its entertainment value.

A kickass book that sums it all up for a good ending.

Ending in a typical kickass way, the last book in this series is just as exciting as the ones before. Don't miss any books in this series. I recommend them. They keep you turning pages wondering what will come next.

A wonderful ending for the series. I loved the action and twists in this final book of the series. Rachel Medhurst has a talent for turning the plot back on its heels and this book does that several times.
