Immortal Dragons #6

Dragon Equinox

Rate this book
With an all-out war waging in the Haven over control of the Source, immortal dragon Numa only cares about one thing: securing a powerful enough partner for a taxing ritual that will turn the tides of battle.

But Fate hasn’t made her task easy. Rather than show her who her fated mates are to be, the infuriating eternal entity she calls a father has made Numa the prize in a contest of the gods. Whoever wins the favor of Fate’s last unmated daughter shall have her as a partner. Numa sees this as an opportunity to secure a lover strong enough to complete the ritual, but isn’t prepared when all five contestants unexpectedly capture her heart. Love should not be a factor when her entire world is at risk, so Numa knows she must choose between them.

What does an immortal dragon do when given an impossible choice? She takes them all.

Ophelia Bell is the author of the super steamy Sleeping Dragons series. Ophelia loves hot alpha heroes, especially if they’re dragons, but believes the world needs more alpha heroines, so has made it her mission to make that happen. Ophelia grew up on a rural farm in North Carolina and now lives in Los Angeles with her sexy tattooed alpha husband and five-and-a-half attention-whoring cats (one of them is exceptionally large and might actually be a dragon in disguise).

I LOVE LOVE Ophelia and her books. There is just something about her stories that drag you in and don't let you go until the very last word.

Dragon Equinox is book 6 to this wonderful series. If you have not read this series YOU HAVE TO! It is hot, sexy, and there are mystical characters so of course, you will have hot men! LOL. I could not put this book down as always.

Great story!

See its always the nice and quiet ones to look out for! Should I call Numa a freak, or kinky or just plain lucky!!!! You go girl!!!! WOWSERS!!! I must admit her freaky, kinky, lucky sexual nature was a bit much and quite frankly it just seemed painful too...yikes! Well I can't say that I'm shocked at Numa's mate decision, it was so very obvious once the stupid competition began, while I think she is going to be a very busy gal...wink wink...I was happy for her.

With that being said, I am so fucking glad for Neela! I was hoping and praying for like four books I think that she would be reunited with her lost love and was rapidly losing hope thinking Vrishti and her mates would claim this special gift as their own, while I felt bad for them because they all fell in love with this surprise, Neela and Nikhil are the ones who deserved to see what they were forced to create. It was a beautiful moment when Neela was finally reunited with her little peanut.

Meri, Meri, Meri...this was one villain I absolutely detested! All I can say is evil never wins!

Overall this was one adventurous book, with every character involved in this bloody war against Meri! It was sad, funny and quite a page turner! The sex was a bit over the top and eye popping with some face squinting but ultimately this was an incredible read!

I am truly at a loss for words.
Dragon Equinox is the epic conclusion of a masterfully written series.

Aside from the hot and steamy dragon love, the multiple story arcs that came together and made all the puzzle pieces fit, deserves nothing less than a standing ovation. I loved this world and the fantastic array of characters/races, all coming together with a common purpose.

This journey has been so worthwhile and entertaining. If you're looking for the same old, this is not your stop, but if you're looking for something that's challenging and original, I encourage you to experience these Immortal Dragons.

Holy sex Gods Batman what have you done?! This book not only made me anxious to quickly read but pace myself at the same time it also made me horny as hell. The sex and the anticipation of the battle and the emotional what the fucks was too much to contain. Also between what the enemy was doing (which made me want to throw my kindle across the room) and what the others had to do and endure to win. It was a nerve wrecking satisfactory book. I couldn't ask for more. To be honest.

Character breakdown:

Numa; she's my new spirit animal I adore her! She's smart, calculating and level headed. She had such motherly instincts that I found personally comes when you are the oldest sibling. Her sexual appetite was one I envied as well. I never thought I see her so brave and willing to go there. My mom always said "it's always the quiet ones." (She was referring to me lol)

Cade; when I met the Ursa in a previous book I knew I liked him did not think I would end up wishing him to be real lol. Level headed fighter and charmer all in one. And not without the emotional aspect either.

Bekim and Theron; I loved these two they seem like a fun pair to be around with. And the way they cared for each other and Numa was pleasing.

Dionysus; Who would have thought a God would want them? Although he was worst than a horny teenager with alcohol at hand lol. But I did enjoy his humor, his openness and his plan to help with the enemy.

Ozzie(though he wasn't a main character); I seriously feel for this man and the fucked up shit fate has put him and his brethren through. But I am curious to know what lies ahead for him

Deva(not a main character either); I am in big need to know about her. What will become of her and what will she mean to those immortals around her? Too many questions around her.

Overall this book was fucking amazing! The last installment but left with so many possibilities and a few questions of what will come next. So much more than the sex and romance coz the action is plentiful. The last few books alone with leave you anxious and excited to know the conclusion. Now all I want to know is what is to come for the higher races?

The most powerful and evil enemy of the Haven is finally at the point of winning and in order for Numa to beat her, she must have a mate as powerful as she. This is the fascinating story of the struggle to beat their enemy and of the five men trying to win the position of her mate. She loves them all and they her and to win her they must prove they can give her the highest pleasure she has ever had, for that in turn will give her the power to overcome their enemy. I love the way the author brings in past characters to show how the story has moved along to this point. The world building in this series has been magnificent, the characters draw you in, the action grabs you, the evil is powerful with the most horrendous acts to get what they want. The path of sensual love making Numa must have with the five men is mind blowing and will have you squirming. Grab this book now to find out all that the characters have to go through and I know you won't put it down till your finished, and make sure the kids aren't around as I'm sure the sexy action will have you letting out a moan or two.

A Must-Read! Oh wow! Another great story in the ongoing saga of the Immortal Dragons series!!! There’s a LOT happening in this book—romance…attempted annihilation…—and there were a lot of developments that I totally did NOT expect. I found myself thinking: “Oh NO!!” quite a few times. I can’t help wondering what the next book, the Epilogue, will tell… I highly recommend that you read any of Ophelia Bell’s books as I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. I received a free advanced copy of this book via Booksprout as well as purchasing the e-book to support the author…and am voluntarily leaving this well-deserved review.

Book 7 in Ophelia Bell immortal dragons series
Wow what can I say this is a fast moving book with everyone from previous series in it but also new people join in as well.
I really liked that this book has a different feel to previous books in series and also a lot more sex then I ever thought could be in a single book.
Numa is the main focus for a lot of the book she’s needing a powerful mate to make a portal but she’s struggling to choose one mate, which is when the fates decide a contest to win Numa which get very interesting when five contestants want to win her heart and not just be a powerful mate.
You jump around a lot in this book with characters or places so you really need to have great focus and not to get distracted also would definitely recommend read previous book so you know what’s going on a backstory to each character.
Was totally surprised by ending of this book which doesn’t happen to me very often won’t go into much detail but you’ll enjoy the story and surprises on way.
Fantastic story and HEA love Ophelia Bell so much.

Has Fate abandoned me? 5 DRAGON MATES

Do I have no destiny of my own? Maybe I did something wrong and Fate just … forgot. Maybe that means you get to choose… Help me find my mate. Sweet Mother, she needed to get hold of herself. I must truly be the luckiest dragon alive. What do you say, sweet pea? Ready to get this going? Oh, Sweet Mother! Ophelia is in all her full draconic glory!! THIS. WAS. FAN-DRAGON-TASTIC. Knowing that this is the last book, the one that is going to FINALLY bring EVER-Y-THING TO-GETH-ER, to ANSWER & END this AH-MAZ-ING journey, well it's as exciting as it is sad! SUPER bittersweet! Which is why it was hard to start reading! I want to, NEED TO know how it will all play out, but once I do...IT'S O-V-E-R!! *waaaa* But I know & LOVE Ophelia's books to bits, so I couldn't delay and I had to dive right in! And HOLY GREEN DRAGON WINGS!!! WOW!! I had a hard time putting it down! I was so COMPLETELY and THOROUGHLY enthralled, engrossed & transfixed by the love, the heat, the depth to EVERY SINGLE ASPECT of the characters, the storylines, the games that Fate plays, every little detail, so much so that I cannot possibly even begin to put it all into words! Suffice it to say it is the most magical, most intense, most erotic, most DRAGONLICIOUS OF THEM ALL! TIMES FIVE!! One worthy of the Gods themselves!! Let's be honest here. Ophelia Bell has been writing reverse harem stories BEFORE they were the latest trend, and in my opinion, they are STILL the BEST ones out there. Mostly because they are fantastically written, deeply enhanced, richly detailed stories that aren't there just to cash in on a trend. Her reverse harem "situation" FITS the story, it's how the ENTIRE series (and Dragon Universe, for that matter) has been playing out, and it is EXACTLY what was needed for the end of the series too! Once again, the incomparably talented Ophelia Bell is in top form and COMPLETELY. BLEW. ME. AWAY. from beginning to end!!! I was truly wholly, utterly and COMPLETELY consumed – mind, body, heart & soul!

Holly hell that was awesome! This is the epic end before the epilogue to the series. It was so well-written and thought out. Like the rest of the series. I am sad to see it end, but there is a special note saying we get one more story to see how everyone. Is doing (the epilogue to the series) and I cannot wait for it.
This is Numa's story and hopefully the end of Meri. Numa has been tasked with performing a ritual to open a portal to bring reinforcements to help end the god awful war Meri has brought down to the haven. And she has a secret she has not shared with everyone. But now she has to find the right mate to help her. But she has 5 to choose from. Only she is having a very hard time of it. The gods have even thrown a wrench in it to. She is left with an impossible choice. And what she does is amazing. I also loved the child Deva she is truly amazing now they just have to keep her safe from Meri. And end this war. And you will be surprised by the outcome.
Now before I ruin this for you I will leave off here. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. If you do like this book, please consider leaving a review. The Authors really like it when you do; they value your opinions too.

Almost the final book for this world Ms. Bell has created filled with dragon shifters, bear shifters. bird shifters, Gods, humans and combinations thereof.

We finally see that Meri gets her just rewards for devious machinations and betrayals where our future dragon Queen Numa must choose a consort therefore a contest is proposed so she may choose the most powerful of the contenders to create a portal that allows Nikhail and his army into the Sanctuary. Will it be the bear pair, the bear carrying an insider or a God of wine and then some.

Ms. Bell kept me riveted throughout Numa's story. The contenders are big, powerful and dreamy to behold I encourage you to grab a copy of yourown and be ensnared into this compelling world.

I voluntarily chose to read an advance copy and have not been compensated in any way for this opinion.

Wow... where to begin. This series is Ms. Bell’s best by far and this book is a fantastic addition to it. It has everything a person who loves dragons could want. There is an evil villain, hero’s and heroine’s, a magnificent world that they all live in, hot sexy times, one Dragon female and her five men and much more. You become so invested in these characters that you are sad that this is the last book in the series. I really liked how she brought characters from previous books into this one (really though that happens with all of the books in this series). I highly recommend this book and any others from this series. You won’t be sorry. While I am sorry that this is the last book in this series, I can’t wait to see what Ms. Bell sends us next. I voluntarily received a copy of this ARC and this is my honest review.

So I am not that much into reverse harems but this is so not like the other I have read. Numa has been given a choice to pick her mates. She is in charge of opening a portal and the energy she needs she will have with her mate or mates. While Nikhil is just waiting for his time to fight and Vrishti is having her child all hell is breaking loose. Meri is such a powerful enemy they don’t even know... but love and sacrifice wins it all. This is such an amazing ending to the series. I have loved every book for they are not only full of sexy dragons, ursas, nymphea and turuls, they are packed with powerful drama and an elusive and resourceful enemy that keeps everyone on their toes. Numa’s good girl fame is about to be tested! Her choices are all the best...

Living in a world at war, things aren't easy for Numa, She must choose a mate that is as powerful as she is, and there are 5 candidates in the running. They share a common enemy but the way the males can prove their worth is pretty spectacular as this will give her the power over the enemy. No spoilers though. The book kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Awesome tension and drama, and some really nice resolution which is a total delight. The beauty of this series has been in enjoying the journey, and it has made the resolution all the sweeter. I highly recommend this book, but the whole series as well. Amazing reading. This is a voluntary review of an advance reader copy.

Ophelia Bell always leaves me wanting more! This book was everything I expected, and more. The culminating battle of good versus evil was arduous and epic in scope. Amidst this an equally enchanting and erotic tale of love comes together. Numa must open the portal, with the help of her chosen mate. The contenders are an spectacular assemblage of suitors, willing to give their all, to aid her in her goal. Bekim, Theron, Dionysus, Cade and Zephyrus will not make it easy to ignore her heart, as duty calls.
I can't wait to see what Fate has in store for Ozzie, and Deva. I have loved this series from the first book.

Absolutely loved that Numa finally got her HEA
She was so afraid that not having "the dream" like her siblings meant she was never to find her other half and then to have the weight of believing her choice would no longer be based on love but on strength - it broke my heart
This was an engaging and emotional read - I love the way the characters sprang from the pages - the story flows without pause -easily bringing the reader on an exciting and tantalizing journey that will leave you breathless
And wait for it - there is a twist that is guaranteed to bunch up your knickers
This is one reverse harem you do not want to miss

What fab next story to the series! Numa was left with the freedom of choice, sort of, to find her mate and this really left her reeling and feeling rather left out by Fate. Of course, she goes her own way in finding that mate and she sure burns up the pages with her ideas of 'testing' and 'suitability' ;P Smoking hot stuff! Ultimately, she makes her best choice and love is the biggest factor. The fact that she's able to play a big role in aiding all the allies against Meri, well, that was icing on the cake. Good fun!

OMG....... completely amazing book. I personally have wondered what it would be like to have my own harem of men and if my experience would be anything like numas then I'd be in heaven. this book does not disappoint at all you have a war going on both in the haven't and in numa herself, four cocky men and one actual god, and one women to call the shots. this book does keep your interest peeked throughout the book especially with the romance scenes and is descriptive enough to make it feel like you're actually there. I love this author can't wait to read her next book.

Holy hotness, Batman! My eyes were glued to the story the whole way through. The interaction between Cade and Zeph was smoldering and so very sweet. I would have to say that they were my favorites. I loved how take charge Numa was about everything. The story was action-packed and without giving anything away, I'm thinking that's not the end of it. I love this would and the characters in it. I hope the stories continue. This author is absolutely brilliant.

Despite the idea of a courtship competition being a bit silly at this point in the story, I did find this to be a satisfactory end for this series. The defeat of the antagonist was plenty tense and I was happy with how it turned out. I wish we had seen more of Dion and Zeph earlier in the series to give them a bit more character buildup. There were also a few errors I was unable to ignore—the primary one being a chapter that swaps from Numa's viewpoint to Cade's partway through, on top of a few typos.

OMG!!! Amazing and so damn hot!! Ophelia writes some of the hottest books out there. And this ending to amazing series is just WOW! The buildup to this ending has had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. The story is so complex and erotic. You will fall in love with all the characters and I mean a lot of characters. Start from the beginning and you won’t be able to stop. Lots of m/m/f/m/m and a few more m’s.

Love it! This book is probably the most awaited one of the series. Finally being able to destroy a super villain, finding true love and the truth about a lot of things. Mysteries explained, questions answered and new puzzles to solve, this book has everything. Numa is truly the Queen and her suitors are awesome!

I love when all the plot pieces from previous books in a series come together for an explosive conclusion. The author did a wonderful job keeping certain aspects hidden throughout the series with each of the dragon siblings, that I was blown away by all of the secrets coming full circle.

Numa doesn't have an easy journey to finding her mates. Fate has not told who to find. She needs them more than ever to protect their world and all those she loves.

It is a great series with lots of heat. I recommend you read them all. The author really creates an intriguing world and she takes the story in unexpected directections.

I have loved this series, and Numa's story ends the series nicely. Great characters that I could relate to, even in their dragon world, and entertaining scenes that kept me engaged and intrigued. Loved this final story, and Numa was an awesome dragon with a special power that I was waiting for her to unleash!
