A little rushed

This story was okay. I did read to the end to see what would happened. I just felt that this was rushed. I only read the first story and none of the bonus reads that are at the back.

Tindra signs up to become a Vampire companion and doesn't expect to be chosen. Thor is a prince looking to help his father Rollon find love again. Even if it's by means of trickery. Rollon is drawn to Tindra. Yet he stays away from her. Trouble finds it's way in Rollon's kingdom. Whose behind the trouble and why? Your answers await you in Selected for the Vampire King.

Interesting story for a novella. I liked the characters especially Tindra. I found the characters to be raw, real, honest, complex, and mysterious. I look forward to more from this author in the future.

I have a soft spot for T.S. Ryder's work - she is just gifted when it comes to blending romance, suspense and the paranormal and her Vampire collection is not to be missed!
This was another example of the perfect blend of romance, suspense, action and down and dirty sneakiness (it was done with the best of intentions and no I am not telling) that I have read in a while
Tindra is a blast - girl has spunk - heart - and possibly lacks the natural instinct of self preservation

Vampires are not a genre I usually pick up so I am extremely surprised to say I thoroughly enjoyed this one. In the past too many vampire romances have been bloodthirsty trying to get into the stereotypical vampire behaviour. Ryder's book was different. The characters came to life in such a way they appealed to the romance in you whilst still keeping the paranormal vibe. As other reviews have said this heroine was selected for another and you can imagine a child, whatever age, wanting that for his or her parent.
A novel approach with shifters being the bad guys but there is a twist; you will need to read it yourself to find out the twist as I never give spoilers. This book has plenty of action, romance and intrigue to keep you reading from start to finish. Don't say I didn't warn you to make some time so you don't have to put it down, because you won't want to.

An excellent read and I'll definitely be reading the other vampire romances by Ryder.

>I am an independent reviewer. This is a standalone book that ends in an HEA. The title of this book gives away a plot twist. Tinder is a human chosen to be the companion of Thor, the vampire prince. Really, Thor wants her for his father, Rollon, the vampire king. Tindra and Rollon are not informed of Thor's plot at first and feel bad fight ing an attraction to each other. Once they realize what Thor has done, Tindra is on board, but Rollon fights the attraction.

>Evil vampires threaten Tindra and Rollon makes peace with his past enough to let himself love Tindra. The secondary characters are interesting and really round out the story, especially the vampire child.

>This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 4 stars. The story needed more depth into the king and Tindra especially.

Kann man ja mal probieren, ab und zu mag ich ja Vampirromane ganz gern und zudem gratis übers Amazonabo.
Die Ausgangssituation wäre ja ziemlich gut gewesen: Sie der comicbuchlesende Nerd der eigentlich nur zur Vampirbrautschau ging, damit sie einen freien Arbeitstag bekam, wird auserwählt... und dann ist da auch noch ein heißer Typ... sein Vater, der König, den sie gleich mal anschnauzt.

Leider hätte die Story noch einiges an sprachlicher sowie inhaltlicher Überarbeitung gebraucht. So ist sie auch einfach zu abrupt, inhaltich immer unlogischer und absurder. Besonders hat mich auch die förmliche Anrede und dann die Duzerei gestört. Mehr mag ich gar nicht näher auf das Buch eingehen, hätte es nicht so wenig Seiten, hätte ich es wohl nicht beendet.

Schade, war leider trotzdem Zeitverschwendung.

This is a short, sometimes funny, sometimes sad vampire story.

Thor, the prince, selects a companion for his father, Rollon, the king. At first Rollon doesn’t know about his son’s plan, but he likes the way Tindra smells. He thinks that she is supposed to be his son’s companion. After an attack on the palace where Rollon gets hurt, she goes to him to help him heal.

This was a cute story. If you’re looking for dramatic over the top vampire drama, this is not what you’re looking for. It came across to me like more of a YA book, but with very hot, adult sex scenes.

I received an ARC for an impartial review.
I really enjoyed this story. Tindra didn’t really aspire to be a vampire companion, but it was a day off work. She was surprised to be chosen at all, much less by the prince. So she is unprepared to hang with the vampires in general, much less the royals.
It had some twists that I didn’t see coming. Hilda-how much we underestimate the young and what truths they can handle, especially if they have been turned and have seen a lot. Rollon is a normal alpha guy, for all that he is a vampire king. He lets the past cloud his judgement and almost loses her. Fights, treachery, bad guys abound.

This book definitely held my attention. There was romance, drama, action, and twists and turns around every corner. This author likes to keep you guessing a bit. One thing you will never be with this book is bored. The plot is intriguing, the writing interesting, and the characters authentic and engaging. These characters draw you right into the story, and you just can’t help but become invested in their lives and relationships. I was hooked on this story very early on, and remained riveted to the very last page. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dynamic and sexy read.

Selected for the Vampire King wasn't exactly what I expected from a vampire romance: it was even better than I expected! T.S. Ryder's vampires are not blood-lust crazed monsters, they're civilized, principled, and very protective of the women they love. The only question here is, who does human Tindra want - Rollon the vampire king, or prince Thor, his son? All three are likable characters that make you want the best for each, but the suspense of watching them work out who is meant for whom is what drives this story. I'm voluntarily reviewing an ARC, and I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

I've read a number of T.S. Ryder's books and always enjoyed them. This is no different. In fact, this is one of my favorites. Thor really does know his father, Rollon, the King. When Thor chose Tindra, she wondered why. When she met Rollon, she was attracted to him from the get-go. Besides the romance, there are battles against shifters and an old enemy. I laughed my tail off at how forceful Tindra could be and the big bad vampire responded to her demands. She had just what was needed to make everything perfect.

I love vampires that are lovable

Oh what a good story! Tinder didn't know what she was getting into except she needed time off work and applying for a vampire companion was the only way..BUT to be chosen by Thor the vampire Prince was shocking! What was worse was meeting his father the King oh my! Rollon couldn't believe his son's chosen was the sweetest smelling human he'd ever met! Oh boy things were going to be tough at the castle. Good storyline and awesome characters! Definitely a good read.

Another great book by T.S. Ryder and her vampires! Tindra and Rollon are both awesome characters! Strong-willed, sexy and made me laugh. I didn't want the story to end. I wanted to get to know more about the other characters along with reading more of this story!
I highly recommend this book and after this one many of other vampire books of T.S. Ryder!!

A quick and awesome read. Great storyline that flows smoothly and will keep you entertained throughout. Rollon and Tindra are great characters who are perfect together. Lots going on, Rollon tries to fight his attraction to Tindra, shifter attacks, traitor among them, and Tindra gets attacked! Can they possibly get through all of this and have their HEA?

Another good story set in Ryder's vampire/shifter world. I thought Tindra was a great character and was very funny when she interacted with King Rollon. Tindra just wanted a day off work from her crappy job and instead ended up dealing with Thor and Rollon. Add in some mystery and a crazy relative and you get another fun story. It had a few sexy scenes but not too nasty. I honestly enjoyed the quick read. This one really made me laugh.

Great read,
I really like how Thor sets his father and Tindra up together and it works, sparks fly everywhere.
There is great and fun interaction between them, but there is trouble soon.
The evil sister of the king wants to rule the kingdom and doesn't mind using others to get what she wants.

Will there be a happily ever after? For that you will need to read the book. If you are into a good vampire story, this is one.

Short but very entertaining. Trinda was human and was among a few women selected to be mates to vampires. She had not planned on the prince choosing her, and she sure did not plan on him choosing her for his dad, the king. This book was exciting and i read it straght through. Always something going on which kept me interested. And the end had the HEA that came full circle for the book.

Loved it. It reaches out and grabs you from the start and doesn't let go. She doesn't know why she is there in her thinking. She is nervous but doesn't think she has anything to worry about. She gets picked. The prince does it and from there it gets really, really good. No spoilers. Her books are always great and very well written. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.

Thor chooses a bride and lets just say the tide turns when Rollon, the King, gets one wiff of her and things start to go a little crazy. I have really loved all the stories by this author I have read and this one was no exception. Tindra was a very strong character. The way she stood up to Rollon despite the fact she was human and he a vampire king was great. Thor's matchmaking attempt was cute.

Vampire King meets his match

When Thor, the vampire prince, picked Tindra to be his companion, she had no idea what was in store for her. I loved how she almost instantly fought back against King Rollon. The sparks definitely flew between these two! The movement of time in the story was very nice also!

I’m not much on vampire or shifter books, but I enjoy T,S, Ryder’s writing. Selected for the Vampire King is my eighth less than a day read from author T.S. Ryder. This is a well-written story by a very good author and the characters and storyline would work just as well with main-stream characters and setting.

Interesting, exciting and hard to put down. This is an excellent book to get lost in. The characters are flawed but likable. The dramatic plot is interesting. The romance was unexpected but hot. The relationships between the characters was engaging and fun to rwad. There is intrigue and a nasty antagonist. In short, this book is a nice collection of all the good things that i look for in a book.
